Setting down two tokens, Alef had made her way back to the web shot game. If nothing else, it would distract her for a bit longer before she headed back to study or just relax at the courtyard. She could always come back if she really wanted to, but for right now she was getting a little tired. Picking up the strange web shooter, she aimed for the targets and fired. Hitting down two targets, she decided that was enough for now. Gathering her tokens, she headed off.
Token count: 5 tokens won - 2 tokens played + 0 bonus tokens + 31 total tokens = 34 tokens

08-22, play number three.
Even though her last attempt was a brutal loss, Hedoro wasn't quite ready to give up yet. She had still made a profit; she had more tokens now then when she started. So she decided to give it another shot. Paying two more tokens, she pulled on the shooter once more, and aimed carefully.
[Started with 14, spent two, won zero, zero bonus, left with twelve.]
One more total disaster. Not a single hit. Hedoro was almost ready to give up, but decided to play one last time. If she didn't win on her next play, she'd stop for sure.

08-22, attempt number four.
This was it. Hedoro had decided to give it one last chance. She'd already lost miserably twice ina row, so this would be her last try. She put down the last of her winnings, and pulled on the webshooter. She took a moment to concentrate, and amde sure her line of fire was clear. Narrowing her eyes in focus, she slowly inched her fingers closer to the trigger.
[started with twelve, hit one (worth two), three odds (worth three) cost two to play, end result fifteen]
Hedoro smiled as she saw she managed to knock one over this time. Maybe she was getting used to the game? Or maybe that was one last hurrah, and she should try another game now?

GET IN THE VAN.
08-22, fifth play today.
Hedoro decided enough was enough, time to try another game. She reluctantly dove back into the living ocean, and slowly but surely made her way to the next booth. Looking down, she inspected the game and decided to give it a try. This game cost five tokens, so she set them down and picked up the proferred dolls. Taking aim, she got ready to throw them at the moving vehicle.
[fifteen start, minus five to play, plus zero for hit, plus four for bonus. End result fourteen.]
She did just as bad here as at the other game, she might as well go back to the other if her luck didn't change. She hadn't managed to make a single figure land in the vehicle, but at least the bonus gave her some recompense.

08-22, sixth play today.
It took a while, but she managed to return to the first game without mishap. The crowds were still just as big as ever, but she was starting to get used to them, a fact that both surprised and worried her. But for the moment she had something else to occupy her thoughts.
[14 (started), -2(cost), 2(hit), 3(bonus)= 17 end result]
She checked her results, and saw she'd hit one again. That, along with the bonus tokens, made her think this was her game. She had already found a rhythm, and she thought if she kept at it, she might even get better.

Alef eventually grew bored yet again and headed back to the games. Setting down two tokens, she knew she could only play about 4 more times before she had to be off again. Shrugging, she slid the web shot on her hand and aimed. Firing, she hoped that she would be able to hit the targets. Letting out a sigh as she missed all of them, she set down another two tokens. She wasn't about to give up, she wanted to keep playing.

Taking a moment to collect herself, Alef aimed again. Hopefully luck would be on her side this time, but it was hard to tell. It depended a lot on her aim, which she was trying to focus in on. Easier said than done, for some reason she just could concentrate that well. Taking a deep breath, she aimed and fired, hoping for better results than last time. She had managed to knock one down. "Better than nothing I suppose..." She said, turning the web shooter back in and again leaving the games area in search for something else.

Hedoro counted her tokens, and felt like playing a few more times. She hated to admit it, but the games were pretty addicting. Setting two more tokens down, she raised her arm with the shooter on it, having not bothered taking it off from the last round.

Again, she missed each and every shot. Rather disappointing, but she didn't want to stop anyways. She wouldn't be able to play too many times if she only lost, so hopefully the next time would have better luck.

Hedoro put down yet another pair of tokens, intent on actually hitting a target this time. She watched the targets carefully, noting the wind and everything, trying to do everything she could to ensure she'd do better this time than the previous one.
[Started with 15. Payed 2 to play. Hit three, worth 20! No bonus. New total 33]
That was more like it! She watched as all three targets got hit, paying off very nicely. She grinned, feeling more confident in her skills at this game. She had enogh tickets now to ensure she could play for a while, even if she didn't do as good as she just did.
(Darn, one short!)

Hedoro plopped down two tokens from her winnings, eager to see if she could continue her luck on to the next round. She tried to repeat her actions from the previous shot, checking the wind direction and strength, gauging her finger speed, trying to think of every detail she'd done before. Finally, she was ready. Her fingers slowly pressed the trigger, but did she do okay?

She looked at the targets, and realized she'd only hit one. Oh well, I broke even then. she thought, as the payout was equal to the cost of the game. She couldn't let it end like that, however, so got ready for one more round.

Hedoro had a feel for the game now, but were her skills up to the task? She'd find out, she'd keep playing for a little while longer. She wasn't really hungry yet, so she took a moment to center herself and got into a good firing position. She was ready for the targets, and she pushed the trigger.

She hadn't even managed to hit a target, but the bonus tokens still enabled her to make a slight profit. Not much, but she could hardly complain. Readying herself, she prepared for the next round.

She was ready. SHe'd gotten used to the game's mechnaics, had a fair bit of practice, had some good luck and bad, so now... she could play. Hedoro didn't want to spend all day here, but it was hard to just up and stop, so maybe just a few more games?

She managed to hit one target out of the three, making her tokens back. Not good, but not bad, a neutral result. She wasn't going to stop on an iffy note like that, so pulled out two more tokens.

Hedoro wanted to play the game. It was odd, until today she didn't care about games in the slightest, but now she wanted to keep playing this game until the sun went below the horizon and the light went away. She knew she wouldn't play for that long, of course, but she still wanted to.

Hedoro caught her mind wandering and reined it back to the matter at hand, but it was too late. Her lapse in attention cost her, all three shots went wide. Chalking it up to distraction, she got ready for another round.
