Koichi laughed, nodding his head. "Sounds good, Kitty," he said, pushing himself off the rock. He started towards her, his hands stashed in his pocket; it was so fun to watch the girl just jumping around. After what seemed like forever, thanks to the beating sun, he arrived next to her and crouched down as well. "So... how are we going to go about doing this?" he asked, noting they had no plastic shovel or pale; two of the main things needed to build a castle... or would they build it completely by hand? Perhaps she had a different way... which he thought would be interesting to watch. You're not with her to build sandcastles! Just get her already!

Kana looked up at him, head tilted curiously. "I'm not sure..." she said uncertainly, then glanced around before looking at her hands for a long while. Then she suddenly jumped up, dashing back towards the rocks. She paused beside one of the trees that had been offering them shade and tore off a broad strip of bark, which was slightly curved to the tree's trunk. With this, she darted over towards the water, jumping back as it almost got her feet. Then she crouched down, scooping up some of the retreating water and returning back to Koichi. She moved a lot slower now, holding the bark carefully so the water wouldn't spill out. Then she set it carefully in the sand between them. "We can use this to keep the sand in shape, ok?" she said, looking rather proud of herself.

Koichi was quite shocked by her sudden idea; either she was quick on her feet, or she had indeed been to a beach before. "Good job, Kitty," he smiled at her, congragulating her on her accomplisment; he knew, at least, that it'd add to her honor at the moment. "So, now we just gotta start to make the shape..." he said, digging his hands into the sand, moving the sand around until there was a flat part of the sand in the shape of a circle. The sand that was being showed seemed to be a dark color, and, placing his hand on the lowered surface, found the temperature to be quite cool. "Okay... now we have to build up!" he laughed; she probably thought he was weird for digging under before building up.

Kana smiled happily at his first comment, glad her idea wasn't pointless. She had been a little worried that wasn't going to be needed. Then she dropped from her crouching position and down to her knees instead as she watched him begin to dig into the sand. She blinked and then looked at him, nodding her head. Her tail flicked enthusiastically behind her as she reached her hands down into the sand as well, though she didn't really know what to do and simply let it run through her fingers before glancing back towards him with a puzzled expression upon her face.

Koichi chuckled softly. "We need to build the structure of the castle now... we can worry about final touches- such as details- later... but for now, we just need the general shape of the castle over all," he said, nodding his head as though to agree with himself. He looked at the pool of water resting in the wood, and wondered how they were going to do this. "I guess... we can just grab a bunch of wet sand, pile it up and then get the shape..." he said, thinking out loud without realizing it.

Kana watched him closely for instruction and nodded her head as he said to just pile it up. Her ears tilted back as she dug her hands into the sand again, beginning to scoop it into a pile. She still didn't really know what she was doing, but supposed she'd figure it out as she went. She was actually surprised she remembered about needing water. It had been thirteen or fourteen years since she'd been to the beach. She blinked as she looked at the pile she made, about one foot high though more like a dome than anything else. Then she looked back to him for approval.

Koichi looked up, realizing she'd stopped. He nodded, though, smiling at her. "Nice job, Kitty. Now, just pour some water on it, okay? You... might have to end up rebuilding it, though," he said, somewhat shyly at forgetting that sand sunk when wet. He looked up, though, at the tree she'd torn the bark from. "I'll borrow your idea," he said, giving her some more prais as a piece of bark slowly started to rip off, before it hovered an inch from the tree.
Koichi turned his head, looking back at the water as the bark zoomed towards it, scooping up some water as well. It returned, floating between them, before dumbing the freshly gotten water on a small pile of sand. He laughed, watching the sand darken it's color, sinking slightly, before starting to pile more dry sand ontop, patting the two together until it looked like a badly shapen square... or was it a circle?

Kana nodded again and reached towards her water, pausing as he said he was borrowing the idea. her eyes watched him as she waited for him to go get the bark. When she saw he wasn't moving, she thought for a moment he was expecting her to get it for him. But then her ears twitched and she looked back at the tree, eyes widening as she saw the bark floating towards the water. Her gaze followed it everywhere until it finally dumped its contents onto the sand. She sat still for a moment, just staring. This place was full of such amazing people! It made her want to learn to control her own power, though she quick banished that thought. She didn't want to deal with that. Instead she turned to watch him add more sand to her pile.

Koichi started humming, just for the fun of it, as he continued to build up, water splashing in small quantities every now and then onto the pile. He started laughing before humming again, knowing he probably had the worst voice ever. "If you hate my singing, I beg of you to tell me to stop," he had said, flicking some sand at her feet before poking small indents into the sand in front of him, which looked like a cone. "Oy! It's sandy the sandman!" he teased.

Kana's ears perked as she heard him begin humming and her eyes darted towards him. She grinned, shaking her head at his comment. "It's fine!" she laughed, jumping as the sand hit her feet. But then she just laughed again, at herself this time. Her eyes scanned the sand castle, which looked more like a sand cone before she nodded, laughing yet again at his comment. Though she was little confused at the same time. Didn't the sandman help you get to sleep? That was the first though that entered her head upon hearing the word.

Koichi shook his head, hearing her defend his vioce. "I'm horrible at singing," he confessed, adding more sand yet still. Finally, after a while, the sand had been built up to a circle type thing, a few badly shaped cones sticking out from the sphere. "Wow, we're bad at this," he joked, "now, time for details!" He sighed, before removing some sand at the top, which revealed Kana on the otherside; or at least the part of her head that had been blocked out.

Kana just grinned at him, but didn't press the matter. It seemed similiar to her words of claiming she wasn't cute so she didn't want to bother him about it. She turned her attention back to the castle again, prodding it here or there as she saw a mishapen lump or something else of the sort. Her head tilted as they finished mostly and then she laughed. "It's wonderful!" she cried, countering his remark that they were bad. Her tail flicked excitedly as he mentioned details next, and she looked to him for an example of what they were supposed to do for them.

Koichi saw that he was being watched and laughed softly. "We just have to make the final shape and... design it however you want," he said, poking a hole here or there on his side before he started taking small parts of the sand away, starting with the walls. "After all, a castle needs walls and everything, right?" he said in an almost matter-of-fact voice. He made a few indents, which indicated where he was going to start taking away for the tower he planned on making on his right side.

Kana nodded slowly, then studied her side for a moment. She began tracing along parts with a claw, pressing a bit harder each time she went over the same line. She carved a few window here and there, scooping out the sand she removed with her claws, which seemed to be helpful in her castle building. The whole time she was smiling softly to herself, though she didn't realize it because she was focusing so intently upon what she was doing. Her ears were flattened back, tail flicking very slowly behind her. She was leaned forward as well, watching what she was doing carefully.

Shojuto walked along the beach, he was wearing his tan swim shorts and a pair of black sandals. He could see many people swimming or tanning on the sand, as well as some people grouped together and chatting amungst themselves. He sat down on the shore, in an area that was a bit less crowded. He layed down on the sand and closed his eyes. He wondered is Kietaru was alright. She was staying in her dowms for a few hours, she was sick. He hoped she'd be ok, she was the only family he had left.
