He smiled. "Yeah, you were there werent you?" He asked her. "And you were quite a nuisance. I think I'll take you out of the picture, and when I do get that power, you'll be one of the first to go.
He held up his hand and gave her an evil grin. A serpent of fire, similar to the one that appeared in Glensdale, shot out of his hand and lunged at her, its mouth wide open.

Lucidity bent over and picked up the katana, then walked over to the body and picked her up. He gave Alloran a slight wave, and vanished.

Alloran had stayed back most of the fight, given that Ruby seemed confident in her own ability. Then she got her butt kicked, so Alloran decided to step in. As Lucid reached for Ruby, he encountered an emerald barrier, nice and jagged, too, so as to hinder an approach. This barrier domed over Ruby's body as Alloran walked foreward, holding his sword low.
"Twer a good 'nough fight, given' yeh were beatin' on a girl. She did damn good, prolly woulda won iffn' she hadn't healed me. So, care fer someone' a bit bigger'n yer size?"
