"Wow!" Tomo said as Kohki came at her. The Kage must've had him as her apprentice for a reason. The boy came at her strong, fast and organized. There was a small chance Tomo would fail the jutsu and he would actually hit her. Her hands went to make her seal as she spotted the bamboo bundles nearby

Tomo was more than lucky that she had switched places with the bundle so quickly. It seemed that she was gong to get hit. "Ha! See," Tomo said proudly as she tapped Khoki's shoulder from behind him. "Did you get what I did?" she asked him smiling happily.
[No, you didn't do anything wrong. To use Kawamiri you have to add 10 onto your opponent's attack and then beat that with your Kawamiri skill. Now, I have to go to work, so I'm just going to give you the solo trianing exercise. If you feel like waiting for me to come back on later tonight you don't have to do it by yourself, but I won't be on till way late.]

This seemed to be a harder technique than the others so he would have to put a greater effort into this one. He tried the handsigns.

a poof appeared, but he was in the same place.

This time, Kohki concentrated harder on the bamboo.
Picture yourself where the bamboo is.. he thought.
He imitated Tomo-sensei's handsigns perfectly,
"Kawarimi No Jutsu!" and...
*poof*
He appeared where the bamboo used to be, and the bamboo appeared where he used to be. Kohki smiled at his accomplishment.

He tried Kawarimi No jutsu on the same bamboo plant.
"Kawarimi No Jutsu!"
but the poof appeared and nothing happened. If you had awesome observatory skills, you could see that the bamboo and kohki moved 1 millimeter from where they were.

Kohki made another attempt. He concentrated on the bamboo he would switch with and made the handseals.
"Kawarimi No Jutsu" he said.
A poof of smoke appeared, and a bamboo plant was behind the poof.
"Alright.."

This time, not even a poof appeared, and he found himself hitting the ground out of frustration.

After calming down, Kohki attempted the Jutsu again. He did the handseals perfectly, and called the jutsu.

A poof appeared, and Kohki was on the other side of the field, where the bamboo plant he switched with was.

He went over the handseals once more just to make sure he didn't mess up.

He messed up on the last handsign... again.
He practice the handseals for a while before attempting it again. He decided to practice all 12 handseals for reference in the future.

Kohki practiced and practiced the handseals, he wasn't doing very good. He hadn't practice his jutsu in a while so that might've been why he was so sloppy.

After much handseal practice, he attempted the jutsu again.
