Also, for Taijutsu, you compare your total to the person's dodge bonus. If the former is higher, it's a hit. If the latter if higher, it's a dodge.))

(Okay, much better...)
Katare attempted a tumble to dodge Raijuu's attack. He had seen them used before, but was clueless as to the effectiveness of it...
(19+0+0=19. Yay!)
Success. Katare got lucky and managed to dodge the attack. Talk about beginner's luck... "I'm not done yet." Katare rushed back into the fray and attempted to punch Raijuu, yet again.
(@Kitsune: Or you could tumble. That's what I read in the 'how to'.)

The kick missed as Katare rolled out of the way, as the kick connected to the ground, the earth around it cracked and slid inward toward, causin a piece of shrapnel from the Kick to fly forward and hit Rai in the Forehead, embedding itself in his skull. This renders Rai unconscious and he is bleeding in a steady stream from his forehead. His eyes open slightly and he says,"Hey Kei......... Im sorry..........for the trouble......." and he passes out again, this time having his body go limp.

Katare stopped himself in the middle of a half-deadly punch. As if Rai could hear him, Katare simply whispered, "I hope your romance still has a chance to go over well." First Katare pulled out the shrapnel, then Katare attempted to cover Rai's bleeding by tieing a thick napkin (Obtained from inside Katare's pocket) onto Rai's forehead. Katare then managed to pick up Rai and slowly, painfully, exhaustingly hauled him down to the hospital.
(...And exit to Iwagakure Hospital.)

Ren silently stood, mouth hung open from what she had just seen. The sight of blood had left her nauseated. So this is what a true battle looked like. It was clearly serious fight; a matter of life and death. It scared her so much to know something so deadly could be in one of her peers. Plus, something could be inside of her as well...?
Will I be ready when it is my turn? She hung her head down. That is probably what I'll be training for...

The whole episode was a blur...a scary blur. She quietly follows Katare to the hospital.

Roy had come out again to the platue. It seemed that this was becoming his favorite hang out place. It was nice and cozy as well as peaceful and calming to him. He wasn't much into loud and noisy places so this was the perfect place for him to go to practice and train. As for today, he had come for one particular purpose, chakra control training. He knew that he needed better control over his chakra if he was to get most of the other jutsus down pat.
Again, he wore his black jacket that his mother had bought him and his messenger bag. he pretty much traveled no where without them. He climbed the last bit to the top of hte platue and stretched a bit. he placed his bag to the ground near one of the larger boulders. He began to do some basic stretches to get the blood and chakr flowing thorugh his system more freely. he stretched and bent and moved about to warm his body and mind for the task ahead.
A slow motion of wind blew thorugh his black hair and along his coat as he stood up and looked about for a boulder. In the end, the boulder with the Iwagakura symbol on it seemed to be the flattest boulder and seemed to ahve the softest ground beneith it. He slowly moved up to the thing and looked it over. he Ran a hand long the surface of the boulder to get a feeling or it. He then knelt down and picked up a hand full of dirt and gravel. Not the softest ofp laces to land if he boobed up but better than solid stone by far.
Moving quietly among the wind worn stone, he made it back to his messenger bag and flipped it open. Inside was the scroll he had checked out frm the library on Chakra Control. He opened it and moved down to the part aboout Chakra Control practice on a flat surface. He looked it over once more than rolled it back up and wrapped it up quietly. He held it in his hands, almost feeling the knowledge of his Shinobi fourfathers flowing htorugh the worn pice of tapestry. With a sharp breath in and out, he placed the scroll back in his bag and then moved over toward the center of the area. He first needed to make sure he could get the chakra to the part of the body he needed. He decided to do a mental chakra check to make sure he could move his chakra at will.
His legs spread apart a bit and he raised his hands slowly. A smacking sound was heard as his hands came together in the tiger seal. He looked ahead and began the forceful move of his chakra through his body.

His chakra was flowing well enough. He smiled at this. His focuse and determination were really starting to show through to him. Releasing the seal, he looked over toward the boulder he had planed to use. He sized up the distance for the run. In the scroll, it said that a run was probably the best way for starters to learn the skill. Also, some sort of marking tool would help as well. He smiled as he looked up.
The night before, he had been given something to mark off his progress from his sister. Being an artist, she was able to produce a rather sturdy piece of black charcole forhim to use. he grasped it tightly in his hand and soon bent down a bit to start the run. A quick focus sent the chakra to his feet and from the moment the chakra was there, he moved off with a great speed.

His first attempt wasn't something to write home about. He dashed up the boulder but only a few inches past what he normally could have run. Being that he wasn't that high up, he simply pushed off the boulder and landed flatfooted with a slight slide. He didn't let it bug him however.
Shifting his weight a bit, he clasped his hands together again in the tiger seal and sent the chakra back to his feet then began another attempt.
