It made her feel grossly uneducated that she was having trouble understanding what he was saying. She tried to attribute it to the stress of delivery, combined with the timing and also that it was all foreign to her. That she had demanded an answer of him anways didn't matter to her. "If your chakra was raised could that help it?" she suggested, still trying to work within her own knowledge. Meanwhile the girl started moaning again, and Morgan picked her back up to nurse.

"I think so. It seems to work to some extent, but it seems like... you describe how ki fades quickly. I'm used to chakra staying once it's gained unless the body needs to consume it for injury or something. With this, I'm stable a little, and then it suddenly starts to leak out like it does when my body is badly injured, the energy is eaten up by something else. And then once my chakra reserves are low... the body itself seems to start misfunctioning." he held up a hand, and turned it over, making a tight fist, then stretching the fingers, clenching again. He put it down. He knew he was perfectly fine. For now. "But that would just be fighting the effects off once it begins again, it would seem."

"I'm not really sure how you even build your Chakra. Is it mainly through rest?" That also made her wonder what their daughter would use. Aes's son and Pale's children were all users. The only reason Wedsday's daughter used ki was because he had taught her. "I feel reluctant to entrust your care to just one person, and a man I barely know. Is there any other solution?"

"I need to keep my body as healthy as possible... it's a lot like ki... but I need to keep my mind healthy as well. I put myself through mental excersizes and a breif medatory period daily, so that should be fine, I doubt I'm going to suddenly stop thinking or have a drastic change of spititual health, so mental seems fine..." he spoke a tad dryly, and shrugged. "I don't know. I really don't. I'm just hoping I can find something soon. If it is the lack of a bond causing this it's as simple as... well, no, that's not a simple matter. That would mean being bound to someone again. If not it could be something as simple as a neglected part of the maintaining magic I need to touch up again, or as complex as... I don't know. I don't."

The more he talked to her the less sense he was making. With some small protests from their new daughter, she laid her to the side and met Rivven's eye. The change was invisible outwardly, but inwardly she'd braced herself as she said " Will you die?"

Rivven made himself keep that gaze locked, not look away. It was hard, to some extent.
"Not if I can help it. I've got a long time before I have to worry about that at least, and if I can't find the cure in that book, I'm going to start trying everything I even think might work until something does." He picked up a hand to lay over on one of hers, but slowly let it drop again. "I won't leave you alone. If anything should happen to me... you can bring me back. I'd want to come back, to you, for you. Our child as well, now. But if I can help it, nothing will take me away from either of you to begin with."

It felt very very familiar to her, someone she cared for telling her they may not making it. Or at least them being in danger. Why was it that whenever she thought of that feeling the walker Chantico appeared? Some spark of anger flickered in the back of her mind as she resolved to meet up with the woman the next day.
And now, having no idea what to say to Rivven, she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him.

It had all been said after all, it didn't seem there was any more they could accomplish just yet. The words had kept Rivven's mind how it was, active, moving, looking for meanings and holes, trying to understand and explain. Perhaps, the simplicity of that expression was the very best thing at this point.
The tension leaked out of his body in a second when his wife's lips met his, and he slowly wrapped his arms around her as he returned it, drawing her close and letting his uncertainties disappear in that wounderous, unquestionable security just being near to another, one so important to one, could bring.

In his arms she sank back into the bed, their child stil between them. About twenty minutes of silence and she was asleep again. Things were far from resolved, and the morning would bring more problems with it.

Rivven as well, would find himself rather quickly consumed again by sleep, though he had the presence to carefully move himself and the child so as to keep it as safe as could be at present, not that he had ever turned much in his sleep. Unless something came to awake him earlier, he would actually sleep fairly late into the morning, past the suns rising, regardless of what his more common practices on sleep were.

Morgan woke up before the both of them, and stretched, craking her back too. Everything on her ached, and she felt grimy in general. Heading for the showers she took a look at father and daughter before massaging her temples and heading out. The room joined with the main bedroom and soon the sounds of water filled the air.

Her waking and getting up failed to wake Rivven. The water however, eventually woke him, if not quickly. Somewhere between the sound and the sense of water moving nearby, he eventually stirred, sitting up and rubbing at sore muscles and joints as he stretched a little atop the bed.
Slowly, he would eventually get up, rubbing his temple and trying to recall the night before prior to doing anything. It wasn't pleasant, and he felt like she'd be worried about him now, and unnecessarily. He had felt like it would only be harmful to worry her during the pregnancy, especially as there was nothing she could do to help with it even knowing, probably.
Slowly, cautiously, he left to the room and followed the sounds into the adjoining room, cautious of the possibility of Morgan being upset, and not wishing to wake the child through making any more sound.

She saw him through the smoked up glass, and was surprised that he had followed her in so shortly after she had woken up. Morgan felt like she had too much to think about right now. A child, a sick husband, trying to get the school up and then the reports she was getting......and all she really wanted to care about was her "family".

"Good morning." Rivven said quietly, from the other side of the glass, still in his pants and undergarment, though he'd not bothered to put anything else on. He sighed tiredly, and pressed a hand on the glass, leaning forward a little. "Morgan... I'm sorry, about..." he trailed off, letting his head sink, silent for a long moment. "I shouldn't have hid anything from you. How... how are you now... love...?"

"If we don't talk about it we don't have to think about it." she suggested. Morgan was surprised at the tone of her voice, she sunded far more weary than she thought she was. "Come join me while there's still some of the soap left."
