Oh man that passion pink does go great with melon red. It would definitely be a unique combo using reds. Normally people go with the crimson colors so it is nice to see something lighter.

Passion might be a good addition to the Sundae scheme. I kind of like that one, but I always feel like something is missing.
And yes to more variety in red color schemes. Crimson is good, but it does get used a lot.
