Amila
Amila was rather watching the proceedings when the new rider and her gold drew cloise, and so when she realized that they were close, Amila gave a very small start, green eyes going wiude in surprise as she looked between them, surprised at the little nudge from Anakumath before swallowing. Such a good and beautiful girl from the sweet little egg -- Amila was still sorry she'd upset the little one, and the girl gave her a nervous look.
Closer? Amila wasn't entirely sure how to verbalize her own fear of rejection by the Hatchlings -- she could feel anxiety building up in the back of her mind and throat, the Candidate trying to push the fear trying to return to the back of her mind where no baby would need to endure it-- it wasn't fair to the little ones -- but she did seem to want Amila to go closer -- and the blonde looked to Maritae shyly, nodding slowly.
"O..oh... Congratulations to both of you." She said, voice soft, shaking. "I'm very glad you f...found each other."
A timid smile to both, and then she vert slowly, and very timidly moved after Ielin, trying very hard to listen. In this case she did want to try -- she was just scared and... Maybe iut was okay? Ielin thought so. And Marritae and the little gold did... Maybe? She would try, but she was going to try being quiet for now, and shook slightly as she drew near. She should focus on being encouraging to the babies, after all -- they needed to know they were all so very loved to find Theirs safely!

Tarnaria
Despite the red eyes, one Impression had clearly gone well. Tarnaria dared to peek at the brown and his new rider, smiling a bit. Perhaps one day she would have a dragon... Of course if she didn't, she wouldn't be upset, she thought. But if she did, she wondered, what would she Impress? Perhaps a green, delicate and little. She didn't need to stand out in a crowd, she was content to be one of many. Or maybe a blue - They reminded her so much of the sky, where the greens reminded her of the grass and trees and bushes. A fair compliment to one another! Hands behind her back, watching the babies... She was starting to get lost in thought again.
Lady Grey
Humming, Lady Grey couldn't help smiling at the brown who'd just Impressed. She'd already figured out what the rainbow eyes meant, and while his eyes had been red and orange, she didn't feel nearly as alarmed by his eyes as the others. Oh, those ones were still a worry, for sure, and she spared them a glance. Hopefully they wouldn't cause too significant of injuries... To each other or the people watching!

Martirae and Gold Anakumath
Anakumath cheeped appreciatively after Ielin, leaning out to touch her snout against his hand as he passed by, before sending a warm burst of support to Amila - she was trying so hard and it was okay if it was a little difficult to take a break! But right then what her siblings and cousins needed was a brave face and if the girl needed to cry all her feelings out on her shoulder later, Anakumath would be here.
"Thank you. I waited a long time - and she walked so very far for me," of course, across the sands didn't feel like it was that far, but to a newly hatched and quite frankly, hungry gold, it was all the distance in the world - and she could see why the gold had wanted to comment on it. But it seemed that now that what she'd stopped for (again...) was settled, the two offered a nod before Marty quite firmly kept the little gold on track to get to the feeding tables.
Which meant to see the other new Weyrlings, as well as come face to face with her new Weyrlingmasters for the first time. Martirae took a moment to bow to those riders, though she did not find any words to say to them - certainly, she was grateful they were going to be offering guidance, but....it felt too early to offer gratitudes or promises or anything else. The smell of the meat had struck Anakumath all too suddenly and the gold's hunger suddenly hit Martirae like a train. Then why all the stops? Marty asked, perhaps a bit too harshly, and Anakumath creeled apologetically. I needed....I..... Marty reached out a hand, smoothing it over that beautiful pale face of hers. I am not angry. Do not apologize, I just don't want you to starve because we had to check in on so many. she urged, pressing an almost desperate love into the gold.
Then, the two finally found a seat and Marty carefully assessed the buckets of meat before choosing the one that looked to have the finest deposits of fat in it. Then, it was the quick work of cutting the pieces into smaller chunks that even the most eager of eater wouldn't have been able to choke on - though Anakumath was nothing, if not delicate, chewing down her first bite of real food happily.
Marty's chest tightened as she looked at the gold all over again. Hers. Hers.
NovaCracker A parting thought from Anakumath for her!

Kinyegele
Another dragon had hatched - a brown? Oh! It was that helper egg who wanted to see if anybody needed anything! He was handsome for sure, and she briefly wondered if he would be for Ionan, or maybe Tass? Her brothers were excellent choices, after all. Goodness, Fisher would have been a wonderful choice for such a helper, even!
Or maybe he would want...one of the other girls? Who?
Amortentia moved again and Kinye found herself watching the little green acutely, all of her heart going out to the little lady all over again. She just wanted attention, didn't she? Kinye would give her all she needed - hopefully it would be enough, at least. But she could only promise until either that little green impressed....or she did.
Oh! That lovely brown had impressed!
----
Fahn
The third - fourth? Time was the charm for Be Our Guest, and all of that going and going was what Fahn wanted to be doing so badly - she didn't, however, want to be crashing into somebody else like the brown had just crashed into his green sister. Ouch, little ones! Is everybody alright?
Her own head hurt at the very thought! Ouch! In fact, she almost missed Be Prepared settling on the sands, calling out to his own boy. Oh! One more down!
----
Juhvek
Dragons sure were hard to call - did one call them at face value and assume what he was seeing was what to expect? He'd heard some changed drastically after impression and maybe that was the time you tried to guess what they were. Maybe both were accurate pictures of what that type of a dragon was.
One brown had hatched, exuberant and flashy, another had impressed, tired and fed up. What would they be once they met theirs and moved on in their lives?
Was what he'd be if one chose him change after that moment as well? It certainly made judging what everybody was fussing about a touch more difficult - but not unpleasant.
----
Kahbrohm
Dragons were coming and going - out of the egg and off to theirs - so quickly, that Kahbrohm almost didn't have time to assess them all that much. But perhaps that was a good thing - he was enraptured with that bronze and his growing posse. Better to not eye up a dragon who he didn't have a chance with, he'd put all his bets on one egg and he was going to see it through to whatever end it came to.
Maybe that was short sighted. Maybe another would come for him, but he'd face that then.

Taibbi
At this point Taibbi was pretty sure she was more sweat than skin, and she was equally certain that she was giving off a terrible stench of sweat and body odor. Given her general indifference and immunity to things like that, odds were good that the poor candidate really smelled foul to anyone unfortunate enough to be standing near her.
It was not, however out of a concern for her fellow candidates' noses that she moved away from them and toward the dragons. It was because she was having an increasingly difficult time containing herself when it came to the preening pair, and especially the upset green being consoled by her sister. She wanted to fix their problems. The urge to fix things was strong with her, even when she didn't know how to go about doing it.
What can I do? she thought to herself. If I were one of those young dragons, what would I want someone to do?
Bring them their humans, she concluded. But she had even less of an idea how to go about doing that than the dragons probably did. Perhaps if she could convince people to stand in a more orderly manner, it would be easier for the dragons.
She glanced around at the nearest candidates and raised her voice just a little to tell them, "We should make neater lines, so the dragons don't have to look as hard to find people. Maybe with the less tall folks closer up front."

Akaris Oh, oh! No sooner had she asked her question than a new distraction from her many worries so conveniently presented itself when Be Our Guest broke its shell, eliciting a delighted gasp from the young woman - and another squeeze of poor Rylyrr's hand, although this time it was an excited one.
"That's one of the ones that I liked " she said, answering her own question with a soft smile. Certainly she didn't have any thoughts that he might be for her, but she was happy to see him out and about and well. She had been so worried, so afraid to even attend the Touching, and his concern and welcome had been exactly what she'd needed at the time, enabling her to go on and meet his siblings. I'm so glad you're here!
Now he just had to find His! And his sister deserved someone special, too. Maybe..a certain someone she knew...? Wouldn't that be wonderful?
Shaddaling sorry, she had an excite and couldn't contain herself

Ticene // She/her // High Reaches Candidate
So many emotions in this hatching, it was hard to keep up with. Sometimes it was easy, but Ticene didn't really understand why Amortentia was upset. It was hard to when the dragons could hear in a way that she couldn't. Based on what she knew it seemed very likely that the green had seen something in somebody's mind that upset her, but what was it. The green seemed so shy as she crept out and it was disheartening, she had seemed so confident a moment ago. Crucio seemed to be supporting her and there was more than a small part of Ticene that was very pleased about that. The green everyone had made out was vicious had helped her siblings hatch, was now supporting her sister. The spirited green hadn't done anything to harm anyone. Ticene hoped they all felt bad about judging her.
A small and rather short squeal caught Ticene's attention. Mainly because it wasn't coming from the dragons, but from somewhere much closer to where she was. Looking sideways she spotted a frizzy haired candidate. The young woman seemed... something, Ticene wasn't completely sure what. Excited? Maybe. She could also be terrified, because she seemed to be practically vibrating at the moment. "Hey... Uh, are you okay?" Tic offered tentatively.

Helane heard a voice and turned her head, "WHO ME?" she said, before clamping own and doing her equivalent of a whisper "oh yes i'm fine, sorry if i'm bothering you, but this is just all so...soooo....soo.... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" she squealed the last, jumping on the spot her frizzy hair bouncing along with her, white teeth shining through a massive grin, "i don't know how you all STAND it again and again... aaaah this is so exciting isn't it?!" she babbled on at the girl, barely taking a breath her eyes staring intensely in her wonder and excitement "ugh my stomach is flip flopping like a bad storm on a fishing trip" she chuckled, still 'whispering' but her volume was more like a regular talking voice, still to her, it was a whisper, she was a very LOUD person after all.

YURASTAR
Yurastar was about to go and slap around some fools, the anger inside of him enough to overwhelm the normally calm and excessively withdrawn nature he possessed. There were times when his family's infamous streak came out, and seeing how this poor baby green was reacting was nearly enough for it to rears its head and run about the sands like a rampant feline. How dare ANYONE make her feel that way, so fresh from her shell?
"Ignore all of them. I'll go around and slap all of them, if it helps you feel better." His words were thought and muttered towards the little green, though how much of it he would actually do was debatable. Honestly he would go and slap the girl who was making a fool of herself on the sands, part of him wondering why she was even allowed to stand behaving as she was. Someone had gone to get her, a gold had talked to her, but even then it looked as though she was just......unsafe. Not to mention there'd been another girl who cried too but she was now holding someone's hand and looked to be okay. The fact neither of them seemed to care or pay attention to the fact that their very emotions could cause death to dragonets was unsettling, but maybe that was just Turn after Turn of lessons from his parents speaking.
So once more he turned his attention to the exceptionally lovely and clearly distraight green, sending her notice he would do whatever he could to help her. "Do you need me to come over and carry you around? I would carry you around, if it would help, so we can double team anyone who'd dare think a bad thought over you."
Yurastar probably couldn't lift a dragonet but the offer was real and honest and raw and he felt so sad people could treat her that way. Greens were seriously the best dragons!
