"Show me a hero, and I will write you a tragedy"It was going to take some time to fully work out the soreness in his right arm. Throwing giant Fiends into the mother-flippin' moon wasn't exactly conducive to the continuing health of a man's rotator cuff, no matter how many angelic hosts were possessing you at the time. That was a REALLY long distance! Even when you factored in that most of it was just coasting off the momentum in the vacuum of space, there was still the acceleration and escape velocity required to reach in order for anything (particularly of that size and unwieldy dimensions of the Lord of Flies) to pierce the atmosphere and escape out into the vastness of the heavens. That one...he wondered if it was still possible for him to find a school with a baseball team, and if, when he told them about his most recent achievement, they would be willing to hook him up with a scholarship to be their newest ace pitcher? He probably had something there, right? Maybe if he talked to a scout for the Tokyo Giants...though he was never really a Giants fan...or a Major League Squad, they'd hook him up with a developmental deal in the minors?
"Still, when that's not even the most insane thing that you saw last night," he smirked in spite of himself, remembering the Troll Sailor and the massive Battleship-God-Thing that Kai had commanded and yes, most of what he had described in his account of the battle had been at least partially true, "Just a few more minutes...then I'll get back to the grindstone."
He'd taken up residence in the Okina City theater, not knowing the significance of the location to some other residents of the Station, and was napping in one of the theater's plushier chairs when he'd woken up sore. Now, he was just convalescing until he felt sturdy enough again to face the devils. A few more minutes...and it would be clobberin' time! Probably.
