They were closing in and she was cursing the Nine under her breath that she was probably going to be eaten. Why couldn't she be born with wings?

She might have stepped on one as she ran out of the circle and her heart went out the poor creature. She didn't mean to do that to them, but she wasn't going to be anything's meal!

By the time that she slowed down to catch her breath, she must have run around the school. The squeaks were still in the distance, but damn that was terrifying.

But it wasn't a group that came closer, but a singular slime. Nymphaea slumped against the wall, sliding down until she was sitting. She needed to start an exercise routine or something. But the slime hopped onto her lap and cooed. Well, okay then.

Lokni again was engrossed in the shifting patterns of the weather when he noticed something almost bouncing up and down to move, it was something he had seen earlier but did not fully investigate. a gust of wind came out of nowhere causing the grass to bend, dirt to fly about a bit and the thing just stopped moving as if afraid. Lokni was unsure of what to do so he bent down grabbed the squishy whatever it was and ran towards a small cliff overhang.

A new family, a new home and a new school, it was a bit overwhelming for the little hybrid, but moreso were the new buggers that were hopping around campus. Daddy had warned Laelia about what was coming up and Capri had a bookbag that was bouncing a bit... She wasn't quite sure where to start.
She didn't have to look very hard for a sleeping one and scooped it up. That wasn't too bad!

Dulcie was excited to hear about the pandemonium at the academy with all the slimes about! She couldn't pass up the chance to try and nab one and be around all the freshies! She just adored them so much! And no sooner did she get there, did the most adorable little slime essentially plop itself right in her arms from out of no where... "Well go figure!" she said with a laugh as she held it and headed back home. Zzyzx wasn't really interested in what was happening at the school, but he figured he'd give catching one of these things a shot. Of course he did miss...Diggs was quite intrigued by the happenings at the academy and decided to go give this slime catching thing a try himself. Needless to say, the professor was unsuccessful in his attempt!

Zzyzx was completely unamused as he tried to get himself a slime. He wasn't really into it, but at the same time he wanted one. What was a guy to do? With some gruff huffs and such, he went after a critter and then grumbled some as he missed it. "Dammit" Well he wasn't going to really give up, but he was just not impressed!Diggs grinned in great amusement at the failure of his first attempt. "This just means a learning experience in how to catch these things!" The nutty professor was always looking to turn these sort of things into a chance to learn... even for himself!

Zzyzx took another swipe at a close little annoying blob of slime, only to miss again. "Dammit!" he yelped out once again. His brows furrowed and he grimaced as the slime got away from him as he took another shot. "Stupid little creep!" he grouched at the thing in a verbal assault. Not that it had any affect on the slimes around whatsoever.Diggs kept that goofy grin on his face as he decided to try creeping up on a different slime this time. "Bugger!" he said with a laughing chime in his tone. He was too amused and he was set on grabbing himself one of these things!

Zzyzx decided to chase after another slime, this time with a bit more gusto behind it, but missed by a mile! "Dammit, dammit!" he shouted out again as he tried to grab for it again! But dammit! It just didn't work out for him. Even though he wasn't here for fun, or even originally interested in these things, now... now he was set on grabbing one!Diggs chuckled in great amusement as he missed a chance again. These little things were quite the hard to catch critters. He certainly was going to get a good work out from going after them! Not a bad thing for the guy.

Zzyzx growled deeply as the slime slipped his grip once again! This little thing was really starting to get under his nerves. His tail lashed back and forth as his eyes narrowed at the pink thing in his line of sight. "You are so going to be mine, you little pain in my a**."Diggs took a running start at a slime again, but it didn't surprise him one bit as his reach fell short again. He certainly never was very good in the athletic department of things. Eyeing the slime, he pondered what he could do to try and get this thing in his hold.
