Upon seeing the trio of lotad playing around, Alexander's first reaction had been to keep moving. It was only when seeing what they were actually playing with that he decided to grab Odette's ball from his belt. Berries! Three plump, juicy berries! He couldn't tell from where he was what kinds they were, the he was hopeful one or more of them might be an oran berry. So, he let out the ducklett and looked down at the two water types before him."As bad as this sounds, we're going to have to take those berries from those lotad,"he told the two Pokemon as he assessed who should attempt to steal from which lotad."Tsuna, you go after the runner. Odette, you'll take the acrobat over there."With that and the realization from the two pokemon that there no point arguing the matter, the two water types went off towards their respective targets while Alexander waded off towards the lotad that was bouncing a berry on its head.
Tsuna immediately took the berry stealing as some sort of game and quickly swam to catch up with the lotad and jump over it.>"Hahaha! How about a game of keep-away?"<the water type asked casually during one of the passes overhead. Then, for the next several passes, he'd try to grab the berry while jumping and take it away with him.
Alex decided to take the stealthy approach for the most part, wading through the water as quietly as he could to get to the lotad that kept tossing the berry upwards. Once he got whate he felt was close enough, he waited for the next toss and quickly used the tip of his wooden sword to try to catch and juggle the berry over towards himself. He would rather just have the berry land neatly so he could simply pull the piece of wood back and claim his prize, but he somehow doubted that the piece of fruit would land on the narrow surface without trying to roll off.
Odette was hesitant to try and resort to stealing and whimpered a bit as she watched the creature jumping and twisting around while balancing the berry on its head. Eventually, though, she took off flying at the water and grass type.>"Sorry!"<she called out tearfully as she tried to snatch the berry right off the lotad with her beak and fly off. She might not actually know pluck, but she knew how to do it.

A gasp ran through the crowd of Shrimpkins, followed by a collective cheer as the Honedge's blade cut through the berry. It was a perfect cut, reaching straight to the berry seed without damaging it. Now it could be removed without ruining the rest of the berry in the process! ">We are the Shrimpkins and we sing this song~! Happy day let's all get along~! Your very good deed has brought us this berry seed! Glee for all and awe for sum! Tum tee tum tum~!<" The Flabebe sang, but just as they were about to break into the chorus there was a loud...

It would seem the root Alice and Vorpal had been hanging by could't take the strain of the blade swinging. With a loud thud Alice would land on her head, causing whatever it was that would lead a robot to being unconscious. Vorpal, though he had a shorter fall, would meet a similar fate as Alice, not in control of her torso or limbs, would fall on him.

An unknown amount of time later the pair would wake to dampness on their faces and a chill in the air. They were back in the fairy ring, and the rain hadn't ceased during their slumber. Had it all been a dream? Some wild fantasy caused by the spores of these mushrooms?
Evidently not as they would find that Alice, still tangled in a vine, had brought a little something extra from the trip. The root which had snapped under their weight was still there! Apparently the shrimpkins either hadn't been able to get it any more free than Alice, or simply hadn't cared. Well it was her's now!
Hovering in the air the Lunatone would turn at an odd angle as it observed it's would be foe. It only needed one. Just one. One more. From the rim's of the Pokemon's eyes a purple glow would begin to spread as he attempted to invade and scramble the Shieldon's mind. Twisting the Steel-type's feelings he would choose to confuse it by implanting the most alien feelings the creature had ever encountered....caring about beings other than himself, and a healthy respect. Yes, what could be more mind boggling for one such as this particular Shieldon!?

Finally managing to slow, his breath coming out in swift, uneven wheezing, Argyle would take a moment to lean heavily against a rock. He was going to need to add Roggenrola to the rapidly growing list of Pokemon he was not particularly fond of. Least this island was good for something.
Adjusting his grip on Sybelle, the youth would resume his plodding down the trail. He still had a long way to go even after that little sprint.
Sybelle meanwhile was occupied giggling like a loon. She'd gotten a front row seat to this whole performance, and if she didn't laugh she was dead!....wait.....guess it was so funny it could WAKE the dead! ">Mwehehehehehehehe~!<"
Wandering down the Volcano trail, Argyle was given quite a bit of time to think. Now along with the evolutionary stone he'd taken a picture of Deoxys, but should he have provided evidence of other things?Confirm his kills as it were? After all wasn't the Longinus known for their offensive prowess? Surely the trail he'd left behind would have at least been met with some degree of approval. Granted at least two of his opponent's hadn't been left in enough pieces to readily identify but....blast, if only he'd considered this sooner.

Argyle sighed as he continued down the trail. His feet were sore. First thing on his list upon his return to the Academy would be to acquire some more appropriate footwear. Wingtips, while making for a properly dapper butler, were not exactly ideal for a hike of.....lord how many kilometers had this been? If anyone claimed it was less than a few hundred he's accuse them of lying.
Argyle was beginning to realize while he had done splendedly in terms of combat, completing his assignment, and remaining the picture of a Butler, that being a Trainer was still very different than being a servant. Of course it would help if the Mistress even knew the meaning of the word hike. Not that she wouldn't have fallen flat on her face three steps in given her usual choices in footwear. Granted, would have been a good laugh.

The Magby gritted his teeth, annoyed at the Heatmor's flippancy. Of course something like that would be so callous when it came to battles. He hissed furiously, and rushed forward to slam a vicious Karate Chop across his neck. Not the most sensible move, but he was angry.

(18-4)+(12-7) = 19/4 = 5 DMG! Blight is at 9 HP! Sudowoodo takes 1 DMG for recoil!
The Sudowood frowned as she drew back her arm. She'd expected the little turnip to be laid out flat on the ground-- maybe even dead-- but there she was, still alive, if a little squashed. The fake tree gave an exaggerated pout, grumbling quietly. Then with no warning, she began to wiggle and flail. She knew it was the Bulbasaur's turn to attack, so she hope she could confuse it by acting as bizarre as possible!
A cheerfully cacophonous cry rang out over the volcano. It seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere. It was melodious, in a bizarre way, but it was fair noisier than it was on-key, and that was enough to chase away most Pokemon. As Argyle and Sybelle approached the scene, they'd see a Pansear perched atop a rock, a stick in his hands, He seemed to have fashioned an outfit for himself out of dry brush and rocks. And as they got closer, they'd realize the sound wasn't simply noise, but a song.
He'd turn suddenly to the youth and flash a brilliant smile. >Oh! An adoring fanbase to see little ol' me?< He twirled, showing off what he clearly thought was a gorgeous outfit. >It's a quality performance, if I do say so myself, but I can also provide a fight and a show.< He winked, and struck a pose with his hands extended in peace signs.

In the Garden of Monsters
The attack hit hard against her head .....as Blight and Hiro both feared that the small Bulbasaur would find that her head had literally been stuff into the sand. Though it was a strong attack, her resistance to plant type moves saved her ....as simply it would force her mouth shut. The poison would be swallowed whole as her eyes bugged out from the hit.
It ended with the smaller Pokemon wobbling, but still standing. Something that neither expected, but Hiro wasn't one to let a lucky break go without a fight.
"Blight, try again, open your mouth and use.....Sludge." "Aim for the eyes."
It was a repeat of the attack from earlier, but with the Pokemon simply wiggling about. It seemed that area was the most consistent in not moving. Blight would shake her head as she glower at the rock Pokemon in disguise.
(That was not honorable)
She declares even as at the end of her words she sent out a spray of Sludge.

Blight missed! -1 to Blight's accuracy!
The Sudowoodo couldn't help it-- she drew her branach to her mouth and began to laugh, loud and obnoxious. She'd barely moved, and yet the poison hadn't even grazed her! What a joke~ She smirked, spinning her branch about again. Tightening her hand into a fist, she'd aim downward with another crushing Wood Hammer!
Argyle's left eye began to twitch at the very sight of the Pansear. It wasn't just that god awful racket he assumed was supposed to be some sort of singing....or a botched mating call.....but that outfit. Not only was it filthy, but it clashed horrifically. It was an insult to those whom came properly dressed for such situations. This had nothing to with the Chimchar at the Circus the Mistress had insisted on doing and what it had gotten all over his coat.
Reaching into his coat, the boy would pull out a Pokeball. Contained within it was the one Pokemon he had left anywhere close to still being at full health. "Thanatos, rise and put this primate in their place!"
The capsule unleashing it's contents mid-air, the Cubone would land with a heavy thud on the ground. Wordlessly the Pokemon would look over his shoulder at Argyle. It would seem the child had chosen to 'take him' as so many of the cave dwellers had been taken before. Very well. First bound to the graveyard, now bound to this boy, it made no difference. Like death this too was inevitable, it didn't change his duty.
Tilting his head, the Cubone cast his gaze over the Pansear. So this was to be his opponent? Very well. This would be the next to sit upon the scales. Should his spirit falter he'd be seeing Yveltal soon enough. Tossing his bone with one hand the Ground-type would catch it with the opposite hand, thrusting it forward as he delivered the Pansear a challenging glare.

The Pansear's winning smile wouldn't falter throughout Argyle's thoughts and struggles, though he'd almost lose his balance a couple times trying to hold the pose. One must suffer for art!
And suffer he would, apparently, as a positively gauche Cubone appeared. The Pansear frowned as he looked the creature over-- all dust and bones! And such manners! >Weren't you ever taught how rude it is to point in polite and respectable company?< he sniffed, spinning his stick. >I think you oughta learn to...< he spun in place, winked, and then leapt forward, grabbing Thanatos free hand. >To *~Play Nice~*!<

"... that was weird." But at least it hadn't been boring! Alice pushed herself up with her elbows, wiggling into a sitting position. She patted herself down, checking to see if everything was there or if she'd incurred any more damage in that weird, dreamlike place.

Those idiots had captured them, tied them up, tried to feed them to a herd of shovelheads, and then put them through some insane test of physicality and berries? The Honedge bristled. If he ever saw that Shroomish again, he'd give the little pincushion a piece of his mind, sharp end first!
Alice made a surprised noise as she brushed the vines off her, carefully sorting out to find the Big Root. A lit touch at her pockets would reveal that there Berry she'd acquired had gone missing as well, putting that bizarre episode firmly in the realm of reality. "Interesting... wish I'd gotten a picture," she mused as she gathered her items together (finding the basket she'd set down right where she'd left it). "Ah well. Oh, and thank you, Vorpal!" she suddenly said, turning and giving the sword an affectionate pat on the head. "Without you, I'd be Aron chow right now. You're the brains of the operation."
The Honedge said nothing, but lightly tapped his trainer on the shoulder with his tasseled banner. He'd only done what any responsible Pokemon would have done, and besides, they were a team.
Scooping the sword up along with the basket, Alice rose. She stepped carefully over the fairy ring, and continued through the field.
