His machop would not just use a flying kick, but he was angry at the machop and just decided to give it a big CHOP and it would break from its chains and Deo got to worry. He had to move quick and dodge the incoming punching bag from hitting him when his machop had thrown it at him. "Steady boy, I am not going to hurt you" and the Machop was not sure if Deo was telling the truth or lying

Monique brought her Corphish to the STR for the first time, setting it to a nice coastal Hoenn vibe, the air slightly salty.
With her first test, she decided to try the Pokémon’s claws out by setting up sandbags of different softness levels. Some would be easy to slice through; others would test the Ruffian Pokémon’s endurance.
“Go at it, Mo’ala!” The Corphish skittered across, Monique walking with her to the different sandbags. “Slice it!”
The first two were easy, deflating almost on contact. The next few required a bit of grappling before they sliced. And the final one required all of Corphish's strength before it gave way.

Monique called for another sandbag—a large one whose heft she could feel from the moment it was placed on the floor.
"Alright, crab girl. I want you to Double Hit this thing until it smashes!"
The Ruffian Pokémon, always eager for a fight, was ready. It started Double Hitting to its heart's content, Monique cheering it on. Its pincers bashed and gripped, Double Hit kicking in ten times in a row. Frustration built up as it took time for the Pokémon to slash and bash at the sandbag until it finally released, its virtual sand disappearing as it spilled out its contents. The Corphish raised its pincers, proud of its accomplishment.

Monique then had the AI set out a bucket and set Corphish on a platform. "Now... I want you to use Bubble Beam! And just fill this bucket up!"
"Corph corph!" The Pokémon chirped excitedly and started to issue a stream of bubbles, water slowly filling the pail.
"Go! Go! Go!" Monique brought out Castform and Audino to cheer it on. "Go! Go! Go!" The crab Pokémon continued to jet out bubbles, the water level rising. Monique jumped up and down, getting a bit of a workout herself as the Water-type tested its Water-type skills. "Oh yeah!"

Once the bucket was filled up... Monique gave the Corphish one of her three Exp. Candy S, the Pokémon nibbling on the energy-packaged treat eagerly.

It then was engulfed in a white light, energy swirling around as the Pokémon metamorphosed. When the light faded, the Corphish had become a larger and darker-colored crab, a prominent star symbol crowning its head.
Crawdaunt. Water/Dark. The Rogue Pokémon. Crawdaunt has an extremely violent nature that compels it to challenge other living things to battle. Other life-forms refuse to live in ponds inhabited by this Pokémon, making them desolate places.
Monique smiled at her scrappy crab. It had come a long way from Dewford, indeed.

Monique threw open the doors to the STR with Kia the Stantler in tow. As much as she didn't like it, she had to set the system into Hisui mode. Because today was going to be a special day.
The bright sky and soft grasses of the Obsidian Fieldlands were displayed on the STR's screens. A soft breeze wafted through the air. The sheriff spent a few more minutes fiddling with the settings before talking to her Pokémon.
"There are five targets around here, each guarded by a Pokémon. Use your Psychic moves to defeat them... And if you do, there's a surprise in store!"
Kia looked around and found the first floating bullseye not far from where they stood, a little Machop guarding it.
"Come on, Psyshield Bash that little guy out of here!" Monique pointed at the Machop, which struck a tough pose. The Stantler charged with psychic energy and sent the Machop flying, after which it disappeared into thin air, all an illusion created by the training room.
"Alright, alright... One of five. Let's go!"

It took Monique and her Pokémon a moment to locate the second target in the broad expanse, but locate it they did. A Croagunk, arms crossed, guarded the target. Stantler readied to charge at it, but it missed, the Pokémon having jumped out to the side.
"Alright, alright, good start. Just gotta charge a little faster!" The Croagunk moved back into position. "With some speed!"
Kia executed the move with more swiftness, the Croagunk unable to jump out of the way of the Psyshield Bash on the second try. It, too, disappeared. Two targets out of five.

At the third target, a Golbat flew high up in the air, just out of Monique's reach.
"See that? It's high. You ain't gonna hit it unless you either jump or wait for it to come down low, right?"
"Stant!" Kia agreed.
"You think you can jump and bash?" She nodded. "Alright...on the count of three... One... two..."
Monique took a breath before finishing. "Three!"
The Stantler made an elegant leap into the air, its Psyshield Bash knocking out Golbat, the Pokémon vanishing just before it would have hit the ground. "That's the spirit!" Monique encouraged, having jumped up herself. After coming down, the deer jumped up twice excitedly. Does it sense what's gonna happen soon?

The fourth target was guarded by a Hisuian Decidueye, moving to and fro in front of the floating bullseye.
"This Pokémon is a little stronger. You might need to hit it twice!" Stantler wasted little time, sensing this opponent would be a step up and delivering the first hit.
Unlike the first three Pokémon, Decidueye fought back with its signature move, Triple Arrows. It was super effective on the Normal-type Stantler, but the strongly boosted defense from four uses of Psyshield Bash blunted its impact. Kia remained standing on all fours.
"Come on! Finish the job!" Stantler delivered a second blow, enough to cause the Decidueye to faint. Monique cheered and clapped her hands. "One more target!"

There was one last target. "C'mon, Kia, we've got one last challenge!"
The large Hisuian Lilligant danced in front of the fifth target. It would be evasive. It would force the Stantler to be quick on her feet. It would jump and leap. But it would fall in one blow if Stantler could be fast enough.
"Everything I've taught you. Speed! Aerial! Force! You can do this!" It gave a deer-in-the-headlights stare. Monique hoped it meant that it was calculating.
Stantler, instead, decided of its own volition to slow this thing down. It used Hypnosis, lulling the Lilligant into a deep sleep. And then it struck with one last Bash.
Monique was stunned. That was not something she had called for, but it was the right move. It was just enough, too. The Pokémon began to be cloaked in a white light, with a status message on her SNAG: Your Stantler is evolving!
The light faded a moment later. Her Stantler had grown a foot in height. Its horns were larger than before, its fur gray with a white overcoat. It had evolved.
Wyrdeer. Normal/Psychic. The Big Horn Pokémon. The black orbs shine with an uncanny light when the Pokémon is erecting invisible barriers. The fur shed from its beard retains heat well and is a highly useful material for winter clothing.
Monique gave an approving pat to her newly evolved Wyrdeer. She finally had her Psychic. Ultra Space, here I come!

Monique walked into the STR with Pahi, her Shadow Scyther, and let it flit around the forest setting, getting its bearings for a moment.
Shadow Pokémon were aggressive. But a shadow Scyther was a dangerous collection of sharp points. She thought she'd test it out.
The STR set up five large objects that looked like different kinds of Berries. Each would take a different amount of effort to slice through.
The first was a large Rawst Berry. Monique led Pahi to it. "Slice!" Its scythes encountered no difficulty easing through the object, which disappeared once it was sliced in two. It held its bladed arms up in excitement.

Freth would once again find herself in the training room after some time. With the moment of peace in the world, it was probably high time that she finally started to finishing off various things to do. Once such notion was to purify the Shadow Pokémon she has brought into her entourage. Hakamo-o was getting very close to the cusp of purification. Hyper mode was easily achieved, usually sign of the virus weaking its hold enough for the vaccination. If she can put enough effort into it, she probably could finish Hakamo-o off for the day and perhaps start on the Grovile that she took from the fallen trainer in Mauville.
“Now that I am getting to looking at it, this room is rather drab compared to some places in this building.” Freth’s unwanted guest would speak up from the depths of her consciousness. Freth would turn, eying a large slab of metal polished to a mirror finish. She saw the hunter off to the side with one hand on her hip in the mirror image as it looked about the training room; making it apparent that her demeanor hasn’t necessarily gotten any better since finding her way in Freth’s head.
“It’s a training room, not a theme park. I would have imagined that you would appreciate a place like this.” Freth stated. “I could only imagine where you would have to train just to fight whatever threats you had to fight on your job, let alone to be able to put Blizzard on the backfoot.”
“Just the confines of my own quarters, mostly.” The hunter spoke up, looking back at Freth with her glowing blue eyes. “If there was anything physical, I usually went with someone to spar with. Some place isolated. Usually in another world.”
“Wha…?”
“Psychic, remember?” the hunter chided. “The majority of my power stemmed from the mind. Deep focus and control. Pushing mental limits to take on more taxing feats. Physical prowess comes secondary.”
“Short of having a Reflect under your sleeve, I’m calling bull.” Freth said, crossing her arms.
“It isn’t as if we don’t take on strength training. Its just not as important to a great deal for us.”
“And what about Pokémon? Certainly you needed a place to train them too.”
“Not many actually tame Pokémon. Short of certain Ultra Beasts, carrying Pokémon around are a liability.” The hunter replied. “As you might have noticed, I wasn’t challenging Blizzard to a battle.”
Freth wasn’t fully buying it, and she was sure that the hunter didn’t care if she was or not. Freth would roll her eyes and tossed out the Hakamo-o upon the battle field. She had to be careful. She still haven’t any control of any of her hybrid prowess, unknown as to how to harness it. If this dragon decides that it had enough at any time, then it was going to be hard to wrangle it back, and at this stage it could happen oh so easily. “Alright, Hakamo-o, we’re going to put you through your paces today. Let’s see how much you can handle.” Freth had a bit of a risky idea. Instead of one strong target, how about multiple ones. Something to keep the Hakamo-o’s attention and try to put herself at lesser risk. Unfortunately, this meant that this could turn into a holographic gang-bang having to end up cutting this training session short. Maybe stagger the targets out…
Freth would set the room up and for now, one target for the Hakamo-o to contend against. A Drapion materialized before Hakamo-o in its holographic form. “Alright, Hakamo-o, get ready.” The Hakamo squared off against the holographic Drapion. The rules of this were simple. Try to get Hakamo-o to take down the target as fast as he could. If it was going to take too long, Hakamo-o would have another target to contend with. If he does go into Hyper Mode either in the heat of battle or in response to the increased threat, that was probably fine, so as long as Hakamo-o perceived the threat of the holographic projections more so than it did Freth and continued to work out its energy on them instead of on her. It was crude, perhaps borderline draconian, but Freth was ready to finally purify this Hakamo-o one way or another. If this does work out, maybe she could put the Shadow Grovile that she has through the same paces.
“Hakamo-o, use Dragon Claw!” Freth shouted. The Hakamo-o rushed off towards the holo-Drapion and started to swipe away. However, it wasn’t going to be that easy trying to strike this target. It started off on the defensive, guarding and weaving around the Hakamo-o relentless draconian strikes. The holographic foe then rushed in, giving a hard shove to the Hakamo-o, knocking it off balance. It then raised its claws, glowing purple. “Hakamo-o! Look out!” she commanded. As the Hakamo-o, righted itself, the glowing purple claws came down upon the Hakamo-o, driving the dragon into the floor.
“A Cross Poison attack? I don’t suppose that Hakamo-o is at risk of being poisoned, is he?” the hunter asked.
“No, the programs can only simulate so much.” Freth said. “That said, it still will sure as hell hurt. Hakamo-o, are you alright!?” The Hakamo-o wouldn’t respond to Freth directly, instead springing back up to lash out against the Drapion, once again trying its Dragon Claw again and slashed away on the holoprojection. The real and false Pokémon started to clash their claws against each other. So far, so good, Freth thought. “Hakamo-o! Brick Break!” Freth shouted.
The Hakamo-o would then retaliate, shoving the holo-Drapion away, countering with a powerful lunge which drove the Drapion back away from Hakamo-o. Freth then perked up, taking a look off to the side of her. Another form was starting to materialize. Another holographic Pokémon, right on cue. Already behind…

The second holo-projection would fully materialize into a serpentine form, tassels at the head, a fan like tail, scales that lustered just as much in its holographic form as it did its real form. A Milotic. This could be problematic, Freth thought. Unlike a Drapion, a Milotic could prove to be real problematic with the various attacks it could learn. Dragon and Ice based ones, especially. She need to single that one out as fast as she could. She needed to get Hakamo-o to take out the Drapion. As the Shadow Hakamo-o continued to clash with the holo-Drapion, the Milotic started to slither off towards the fray. “Hakamo-! Use Outrage!”
“Is that a good idea?” The hunter stated. “You already got another target on the field and now you’re just going to have the Hakamo-o thrash about?”
“All part of the plan…” Freth said.
The Hakamo-o started off towards its initial target, thrashing down upon the Drapion, one harsh pummel after the next. The holo-Drapion was on its guard, taking the flailing about it. As the Hakamo-o pummeled about, the holographic Milotic slithered up and wrapped itself about the Shadow Hakamo-o as it continued to thrash, restraining the Hakamo-o. The Drapion managed to get back up and started to slash away at the restrained Hakamo-o with yet another Cross Poison attack. The Hakamo-o struggled still as it was wailed upon. The holo-Milotic tightened its grip.
In a roar of defiance, the aura of the shadow Hakamo-o became visible. It was about to go about to do its own thing. That was fine, Freth figured. More energy to burn, better it was. As the holo-Drapion was about to lash out once more, tendrils shot from the Hakamo-o, lashing forward and impailing the Drapion with a Shadow Rave. The holo-target dissolved back into nothingness, heralding its defeat. It was starting to get infuriated. Starting to go over the edge. “Wait…you want him to get into Hyper Mode!?” The Hunter spoke up.
“I did a bit of thinking about what you said a while back during the safari zone. How I was making it go against its artificially induced nature?” she said. “It got me thinking a little. Something I want to try…”
The hunter was silent for a moment. “You’re going to try to burn the Pokémon out.” The hunter surmised. “Is that even safe for the Pokémon?”
“Is that concern I hear out of you?” Freth said. “Haven’t heard any of that since Hisui.”
“I thought Shadow Pokémon were supposed to be cured out of care, not this.” The hunter spoke up.
“Back in the day, sure. But there’s not too much evidence of that now.” Freth said. “Ein was different in his methods here. Brainwashing, comparatively, is easily undone. This virus isn’t. Sure, process to purification is relatively the same, but just a few kind words and a battle here and there isn’t going to just do it. Too many ended up figuring that out the hard way around here. Tristen especially. You should have seen what it was like when he had to purify his Blitzle. Constant working is what weakens it. I’ll make amends for it all after they’re actually sane to understand that I am doing it to help them, not harm them.”
“Provided that your Hakamo-o is in any shape after the fact. He still takes damage like any other Pokémon, regardless of what he may feel like.” The hunter stated.
“That’s unfortunately a risk I am willing to take.” Freth said. “Hakamo-o, get out of there! Use Dragon Claw!”
The Hakamo-o forces its way out of the Milotic’s restraint, quickly snapping around and slashes hard at the Milotic. The holographic target managed to get back up right then unleashed a mighty draconian Twister upon the training room, unleashing it upon the Hakamo-o. The winds scour the dragon with such ferocity. Finally, it happens…Hakamo-o snaps. “Alright, have it your way. Shadow Rush!” she shouted.
The Hakamo-o rushed over to the Milotic, an shadowy aura showing with such fervor, ramming into the Milotic with great impunity. As the Milotic started to make its way back up again, another target started to materialize. “Crap, I was kind of hoping we would have taken out this Milotic by now.”
“You put a delay on these, right? Do you think you set the delay too low?” the hunter spoke up.
“Well I didn’t want to set it too high to where it wouldn’t matter.” Freth said.

A holographic Skuntank materialized as Hakamo-o continued to struggle against the holo-Milotic. “Crap, that’s going to be a headache. Hakamo-o, use Shadow Blitz!” Freth shouted, pointing towards the holographic Milotic. The Hakamo-o rushed in, more than happy to oblige, ready to inflict all manner of pain against this image. The Milotic would then form yet another Twister and unleashed it upon the charging Hakamo-o. As the winds scoured its scales with such ferocity, Hakamo-o braced itself, digging its claws into the floor to not get blown away. Then it proceeded to brute strength its way through the Twister attack, rushing off to the holographic Pokémon and ramming into it with such reckless ferocity, finally destroying the image.
The Hakamo-o wouldn’t get the opportunity to relish in its victory, provided it was capable of doing so, as the holographic Skuntank pounced on the back of the Hakamo-o, slashing furiously with what appears to be a Fury Swipes attack. Each swipe dug into the Hakamo-o until the Hakamo-o kicked the holographic Stuntank off of it. “Shadow Rave!” she shouted. The Hakamo-o roared out, its aura flaring up and unleashed numerous shadowy tendrils, impailing the holographic Skuntank, lifting it off the ground with the shadowy barbs for a few seconds before they dissolved and letting the target flop back on the ground.
As the holographic Skuntank started to get back on its feet, Freth noticed another holographic Pokémon starting to materialize. “Oh crap, did this one come out faster!?”
“It did. I thought you had set the training regimen to make the Pokémon come out at fixed intervals?” the hunter asked.
“I thought I had!” Freth said.
A holographic Eelektross materialized as the holographic Skuntank started to make its way off towards the Hakamo-o, ramming into the dragon with a hefty Take Down attack, knocking the dragon over with great force. The Eelektross would then start rushing into the fray, unleashing a powerful Discharge attack upon the dragon, electrocuting it with great ferocity. The damage was starting to rack up in a hurry. Freth needed to counter attack. There were things that Hakamo-o could have otherwise done, but with the dragon in its Hyper State now, she was stuck trying to use what limited Shadow Attacks the dragon could. “Hakamo-o! Shadow Rush!” she shouted. The Hakamo-o fought its way up and then went off to unleash its Shadow Rush attack upon the Eelektross, ramming into it with great ferocity knocking it away.
The holographic Skuntank rushed in to blindside the Hakamo-o, coming in with a Night Slash attack. The attack dug right into the Hakamo-o’s scales, and while it didn’t do a whole lot of damage, it was just adding on to the damage it already had. The Eelektross rushed in afterwards, wrapping itself around the dragon, just as the Milotic did earlier in a crushing Bind attack.
“Oh come on, more of this!?” Freth then asked.
At the corner of her eye, she started to notice. Yet another Pokémon was starting to materialize. “Oh no…”
“Freth, you might want to consider terminating this session. This isn’t going the way you think its going to.” The hunter told her.
“He’s still got too much fight in him.” Freth said.
“He’s going to have no fight ever again if you push it too far.” The hunter said.
Freth had a thought for a moment as to what to do. She had to remember any other Shadow attacks that something of Hakamo-o’s level could learn. The next Pokémon finally materializes, revealing a Feraligator. “Alright, Hakamo-o! Use Shadow Rave!” Freth shouted. The Hakamo-o shrieked, unleashing more shadowy tendrils, some went right through the Eelektross which held it down, the Skuntank close by, and the Feraligator which started to rush for the fray as well. With the Electross impailed, it was forced to let go, allowing the enraged Hakamo-o to flail about and break away from the electric Pokémon.
Freth could see the Hakamo-o was starting to try to catch his breath. The relentless attacks, both giving them and receiving them, was really starting to add up. It still wasn’t enough however…

The holographic Pokémon were still coming and at this rate, Hakamo-o was not going to be able to handle the onslaught of what was to come. “You are as callous as Blizzard is.” The hunter spoke up. “You’re going to kill this Shadow Pokémon at this rate and it probably won’t even understand as to how or why.”
“I’m not going to let that happen.” Freth said.
The three Pokémon went back on the attack; if Freth was going to be able to clutch something out, it had to be now. “Shadow Panic!” Freth shouted, having to back further away from the battlefield. This was going to get a bit rancid, she thought.
With a screech, the Hakamo-o unleashed its shadow aura, which somehow spread out about the area around it, catching the Pokémon about it. Usually having a Shadow Pokémon to unleash such a move was a bad thing; confusion abound for all affected and worse, it turned any battlefield into a super spreader event. However, under controlled conditions like this, against targets that weren’t even real, this was fine, and hopefully can expedite this battle to a close.
While the system was trying to simulate confusion, the most that was doing was treating each of the Pokémon as if it was some manner of stunned, perhaps dizziness from getting hit too hard. Limitations of technology. Nevertheless, Freth knew that she had to get Hakamo-o to strike now before more opponents show up. “Hakamo-o! Go after the Skuntank with Shadow Rush!” she shouted. The Hakamo rushed off towards the Skuntank and rammed into the stunned hologram. The Skuntank finally would disappear into the proverbial ether. Though as the victory over the Skuntank was achieved, it was short lived as the Feraligator hologram came out of its “trance.”
The hologram rushed to the Hakamo-o, scooping it up in its arms and gave the Hakamo-o a hard toss across the battlefield in a show of Strength. The Hakamo-o was struggling to get back to its feet at this point and worse, another Pokémon was starting to materialize to replace the fallen Skuntank.
“Alright, I think that’s enough…” Freth started to rush off for the controls as the Feraligator was starting to rush off towards the Hakamo-o and the Eelektross was starting to come out of its stunned state as well. Freth practically slammed up against the control panel in the mass hurry she was in to stop the program and terminated the program. The Hakamo-o went to go lunge at the assailing Feraligator but as it swung, the Feraligator disappeared before it and with its tired, exhausted state couldn’t remain on balance, but instead falling over onto the floor once more. Freth looked back, seeing the incoming Pokémon cease materializing and disappears, and the remaining Eelektross also disappeared.
Freth would then rush over to the Hakamo-o who was exhausted and battered, laying there on the ground. In a rare sight, she could see it. This Pokémon was in outright pain and extremely exhausted. Most shadow Pokémon wouldn’t even try to show it, showing just how much of a machine they can actually be. Maybe…just maybe this intense session worked. Though was this frowned upon, or not? Ends justified the means?
“Lets get this guy checked in with Doc and see if it can be purified right about now.”
“I do have a question…do Shadow Pokémon remember what they go through in this state?” the hunter spoke up.
“I think they do. Maybe? I don’t really know, though. I never thought to ask.” Freth said.
“…you are a horrible person.”

Brian walked into the Super Training Room, holding a Pokeball in his hand. He knew Grace needed to be purified, and after the last session, he'd been putting it off, but it was getting to the point that his conscience wouldn't let him rest without getting it done, so here he was. Tossing the ball into the air, he activated a Joy Scent and released Grace, setting the room so that it looked like an target range, with the targets designed to look like opposing Pokemon. "Alright, Grace, let's see if we can't get ye closer to purification," he said. "I want ye to try and hit every target ye can."
Grace seemingly ignored him, clearly not interested in target practice. Brian frowned; this wouldn't work if she didn't listen, but at the same time, he knew she wasn't going to fully listen to him until the Shadow Virus had been purged from her system. That being said, perhaps he could entice her to throw a few attacks. "Alright, since ye don't seem to want to do anything, how about a little wager?" he suggested. Grace didn't look at him, but he could tell by the way she reacted slightly that she was listening. "If ye can hit at least ten targets, I'll change things up a bit," he said. "I'll let ye battle. If ye can manage to win, I'll give ye a couple of treats to see how ye like them. Does that sound fair?"
Grace turned to look at him this time, and although her gaze was mostly expressionless, he could see a flicker of interest in her eyes. Ah, so that got through, then. Well, time to put that to the test. "Alright, go ahead and attack the targets, but no Shadow moves, or the deal is off," he said. Grace gave what could only be described as a sigh, then fired off a Confusion at the first target, shattering it. Brian was impressed with the power behind the attack; most Ralts would have trouble controlling Confusion like that unless they'd had extensive training beforehand, and since Brian had snagged Grace, he had no idea what kind of training she'd had before being exposed to the Shadow Virus.
The next six targets exploded much like the first as Grace switched from Confusion to Dazzling Gleam and back, but the last three proved to be trickier. Brian used his SNAG to make the targets start moving, making them harder to hit. Grace used Confusion against them, but found that hitting a moving target was much harder than hitting a stationary one. Still, she fired another attack at it, but like before, it moved, effectively dodging her attack. This was starting to irritate her, and while she vaguely remembered Brian's warning, she no longer cared. Utilizing her Shadow abilities, she made to use Shadow Rush, prompting Brian to call out to her.
"Grace, I said no Shadow moves!" he reminded her, but the shiny Shadow Ralts didn't listen. Instead, she rushed at the nearest target, effectively vaporizing the cardboard dummy, then turned her attention to the remaining two and hitting both with a Confusion attack, shattering them. She then turned to Brian, who just stared at her for a moment before shaking his head with a sigh.
