“You are…here.” He frowned slightly at the sign. “Well… that’s quite literal, but also true.” Some part of him rather honestly expected an answer from it at this point after talking trees and attacking plants. Then again he was almost wondering if there was any end to these woods. He sighed and decided, why not… he followed the direction the first arrow pointed and followed it up to another sign. ‘There”… it said. Except…. Wasn’t that more or less pointing back to where he had come from?
He tossed his hands up and decided…why not, stranger things happened in dreams didn’t they?

Up anywhere again. OCTOPU55Y decided to keep walking while she could. She finally found her bearings. Hopefully she'd be okay.

OCTOPU55Y felt lighter on her feet. Was that... OH MAN, this is great. New sign. She approached the sign wearily, and read off of it-- "Everywhere..." Her voice hitched in her throat. Was she.. done?

Apparently it wasn’t quote where he’d been before; there were even a few curious things along the way. Mostly trees, lots and lots of trees, grass, though none of it as big as that curious flower garden, but some far more reasonably sized and less demanding caterpillars were a welcome sight to him.
The next sign was a bit more frustrating though. … It pointed up. It pointed up and he couldn’t fly.
He let out a small snort and considered his options.
He took a guess…and it was a bad one. He ended up back at the HERE sign, a whole circle back to where he started. He groaned and tilted his head back with a sigh.
"Let's try this again."

He started out again, following the direction of the sign had given him good results before so…why not. What was the worst that could happen?
He straitened out his coat and marched forward to find out if the sign was still pointing the same direction he remembered. He could have sworn he wasn’t heading back the same way after the up sign, but… this was a dream right?

He was back at the 'There' sign… great. Wasn't the definition of madness repeating the same actions over and over again? Did that kind of logic work in dreams?
He set out again from the ‘There’ sign and hoped, hoped with all madness for a different result.
Apparently the world was more sane than he was feeling right now, he sat down hard and stared venomously at the 'Here' sign."

“By the great pumpkin…hocking boogies of pumpkin seeds and…and buckets and MOLTING.” He grumped as he started out again from the ‘here’ sign.
Something had to change, everything couldn’t just keep leading back to the ‘Here’ sign, he was sure of it.

Right back to the ‘There’ sign, he scowled at it for a very long moment, staring at it like he was waiting for it, or the forest around him to move. “Something different this time…ok? Not back to the HERE sign…lets go to that… UP sign …lets see if I can get further this time…okay?” He told it, brandishing one irritated finger and set out again.

… He was face to face with the ‘There’ sign that he’d just left.
“YOU…are a JERK.” He told it. “I bet you think that was FUNNY…it’s not funny! I’m –tired- this is silly! I just want out of this silly woods, I like branches as much as the next Quetz but I can’t even drape in them! You might as well let me out so I can stop dreaming I’m a mouse ok?” Do mice even LIKE trees? I have a user name…what is even up with that?”
He stood huffing for a moment and made pleading eyes at the sign. “Please…the up sign, not back to ‘here’ and a little further than you!.

He buried his face in his hands. “…if I apologize for calling you a jerk… can we please move forward? You’re all connected aren’t you…it just makes sense if you are, and I bet you can hear me too… uuugh.”
Apparently the apology worked, at least for now, because he wandered on to see the up sign again.
"Oh my god HI! I was starting to think I imagined you!" He said with a sigh of relief. "Now… now let's hope I'm smart enough to figure out where you're trying to send me!"

Ending up right where she started in the first place. DreamWatcher nearly screamed. Shaking her head, she nearly called in defeat and stormed off. Only she really wanted to know what was so important. Instead, she decided one more try. He stood for an age trying to make sure he had his bearings now that he’d finally made it back to the ‘up’ sign. He couldn’t return back to the previous signs, not again. He just couldn’t. If he did that again he was just going to rest and try and pretend he wasn’t going slightly nuts.
"Please….please please please please." He begged it.
