Lin asked for help to get Earendil to the other room. As she was sure that using one of the servants for a support would help with the process a lot faster than what she could do herself.

She also asked if Kyrie had been by, or if she was available at all. Since she had told Earendil, she would ask about the elfstones.

The only answer the servants could provide was that Kyrie had left with Prince Cael and Princess Mari, and that had been a few hours previous, and that no one who had left had returned yet.

The two soldiers who had been at Lin and Earendil's door since the middle of the afternoon helped Lin to bring Earendil to the new room, and then took up posts at the new door - but on the outside rather than the inside this time.

By the time everything had been moved over and tents had been set up for Miyuki and Andarien, it was well past dark, but there was still no word from those who had gone to the city. Andarien was exhausted by this time, and without being told, he washed in their bathing chamber and went to his tent and straight to sleep.

Since Kyrie was out, Lin decide she would brooch the woman about the subject in the morning. Fortunately, everyone was tired enough to just want to sleep. She did however, got a cloth and a wash basin to help Earendil. She was sure it would feel wonderful to be clean after all of that. Once the children were asleep, she helped him with that before cleaning up herself and going to bed.

When morning came, Andarien was surprisingly awake. He poked his head out of his tent to see if his parents were awake yet, but when he didn't hear anything, he sighed and went back into his tent, contenting himself to working on some designs for his gears (if he ever got the opportunity to make the parts he needed) while he waited for the others to wake up.

Earendil was still fast asleep, sleeping the sleep of the dead: oblivious to everything, exhausted from his ordeal, his body was finally getting the rest that it so very badly needed. It helped that he couldn't hear anything that was going on in the room around him (if anything), because it meant that when the guards outside the door were changed during the night, and when there was a conversation taking place directly outside the door early the next morning, he was completely oblivious.

Lin found it strange that she was awake before her husband, this normally was not the case. Even with all her training (and therefore early training hours) she always tended to sleep more than her husband. Getting off the bed, she crept towards the bedroom door to see if there was anyone outside.

Also, because she was unsure of if she should be gathering the children for breakfast or if they would take breakfast in the suite.

Maravel was in conversation with the guards outside Lin and Earendil's door, and when the door opened, he jumped despite himself, then grinned when he saw who it was.

"Ah, good morning, Princess Lin," he said warmly, bowing low to her. "I hope that you have all rested well. Your rooms are satisfactory?"

He straightened and looked at her anxiously. Clearly he was accustomed to any variety of treatment when seeing people first thing in the morning.

She smiled softly, "Yes, the rooms were wonderful. Earendil is still asleep though, but I suspect the children will be up soon if they're not already."

Lin had no idea that Andarien was already up, but she figured Miyuki probably wouldn't be.

Miyuki was up, but she was frowning as she poked at the bundle that was her tails and counted them again.

"One, two, three, four, five, six... seven.... seven... I thought it looked fluffier."

Relief washed over Maravel, and he let out his breath and smiled more easily. "I'm glad to hear it," he said sincerely. "If you are all ready, breakfast is being served in the dining hall - or if you prefer, I could have it brought up here for all of you. I'm sure Prince Earendil will find that easier, at any rate."

He held up a finger. "Ah yes, and Kyrie sent up a message for you. When Prince Earendil awakes, send for her, Lancaeriel and Prince Cael. They would like to examine Prince Earendil again and monitor his recovery."

"Perhaps it would be best to have breakfast up here for all of us," Lin murmured thoughtfully.

Thinking about it for a moment, she then nodded in agreement with herself.

"Yes, we'll have breakfast up here, and I'll do as Kyrie asked."

She paused and realized that Maravel might know about the elf stones.

"Maravel, when my husband was captured, his things were taken from him, among them are a set of stones. Do you know what happened to them?"

Maravel was surprised by Lin's question. Personally, he would have thought that the other things that had been taken from the prince - his cloak, his weapons - would have been more important than some shiny stones in a bag, and that Lin would have enquired after them first.

"They're with the rest of his things, in storage," he told her, confused. "I take it then that they're not simply something to look at?"

Lin shook her head, "No, they're elf stones, and are given to members of the royal family when they come of age. They're quite important to him on many levels."

She wasn't very good at describing objects she rarely seen used, and she knew it was different according to their colour and their colour depended on the person they were given to.

Maravel nodded. He wasn't entirely certain he understood completely, but he felt that at least he had enough understanding to know that they were indeed important.

"Then I shall find them immediately and bring them here," he promised, bowing to Lin. "I will also ask for Prince Earendil's other things to be brought up. Unfortunately, I am unable to carry them on my own."

It would have been no problem with two hands but with only one to use he simply couldn't balance them all.

"That's okay, if you need any help just ask," she told him.

She could help, and she was sure the children would be fine in helping as well.

Maravel smiled softly. "Well, if any of you are bored ..." he said suggestively, and waited for her to reply.

If they were going to be staying in the castle for a while, they would probably get quite bored, and if they wanted to be able to go here and there on their own, it would be good for them to learn their way around.

Lin smiled back, "Let me see if the children would like to go. Just a moment."

She ducked back into the bedroom, closing the door behind her. In several quick steps she was in front of the study door and opening it.

"Andarien? Miyuki?" Lin poked her head in, "Are you two interested in taking a look around the palace and helping Maravel gather up your ada's things?"

There was a rustle in Miyuki's tent before her daughter came out, dressed and a bit bemused. At first, Lin wasn't sure why Miyuki had such an odd look on her face until she realized that the sleeves and skirt were an inch or two shorter than usual, and her hair was another inch or two longer. Her backside was also well... fluffier.

Something Lin didn't think was possible.

There were other, more subtle changes as well. Miyuki had never fully lost that baby fat on her last growth, but it was clear her face becoming sharper than before.

"...." Miyuki looked down at herself, "I think I grew. Well I know I grew, there are seven tails. I didn't think it could get any fluffier."

There was a bit of annoyance in her voice, but Miyuki had always spent more time tending her tails than she did her hair.
