What kind of format should games be done in?
  Games that are played slowly and casually over longer periods of time
  Scheduled games, perhaps done in phases, where all players come online together for an hour or so and take turns together

Seems like you guys have a strategy, so I'm going to enforce 24hr turn limits for the rest of the round. I just wanted you guys to have a plan of some kind.

What's the best suggestion? I haven't been around much to keep up with the discussion. I'll move today, but what should I set as a priority?

How lucky do you feel? Moving to space 12 puts you in 1 range of both the fighter and myrm if they roll a 4, in 2 range of noe of the mages if they roll a 4, and in 3 range of the other mage if it rolls a 4. Basically, you have the potential to take a lot of damage if all the enemies roll perfect rolls and not a lot of other threat if they don't.

You're most assuredly dead if you take max damage from everything. That is an infinitesimally small chance of happening, though. (Try 0.0039%.) What you should be concerned about, though, is if you take a hit from everyone who could hit you (and keep in mind, for this to happen all four would have to roll perfectly, which has a incidentally the same exact chance of happening as max damage) it would have a 98% chance of being fatal. Let's assume, more accurately, that fighter and a tomefaire happen. That now has a 15% chance of killing you. Feel lucky?

Um, I'm seconding this. I was up until late night last night working on lesson plans, so I literally just got here. And my Gaia was clogged with announcements, so whether I intended or not, I've been gone the whole week!

I kind of read some of the stuff on previous pages, but now that moves have been made, what's the best course of action for me?

Stay where you are and heal Vika. I'll explain why later.

Move to space 12 and take a shot at the myrm. Our goal is to have that myrm out by enemy phase. 23.44% chance of OHKO with Pursuit. Pursuit that ********. Not betting on OHKO, but you'll still wreck it. I'm banking on you doing 13 damage, which you have a 72% chance of.
Move roll needed: 2
Attack roll needed: 2d8 12

Sasuke no Katon

Stay where you are and return fire at Fire Mage with Bowfaire. You can't kill it, but you're doing a minimum of 6 damage and that leaves it with five HP for Vika to easily kill.

tl;dr: Stay where you are and mop up the myrmidon if it's still there.
I mostly leave Mihira's moves up to you because you're intelligent and between you and me this game's got a hell of a tactical mind. If you want my opinion, though, I don't think we're quite as in need of Pure Water as we were before, barring no more mages show up to do their magey thing. We're aiming to have one mage down by the time the turn ends, which is good news for our low RES party, bad news for Mihira because that's not the mage that she can tank. If Mihira can roll a 6, she can fly up and attack that mage, but she can't kill it and there's a 14% chance of Vika being able to join her and attack in tandem. Not worth it. I don't recommend she be the one to kill the Fire Mage, because that leaves her in prime territory to get trashed by a fighter who will be lured to a trap tile and a super-effective mage who together will have a 55% chance of killing her. So if Ziaram doesn't manage to take out the myrm, you have either the option of buying Pure Water to prep for the next turn or take out the myrmidon. The reason I say you is because Seth can be useful in his own way with Canto and ordinarily I'd leave Leena to take the dude out but she's got a 50% chance of doing anything more than 3 damage and those aren't odds I'd bet on.

By Vika's turn, we should be down a myrm. In the event that the Fire Mage still lives, I feel that Vika should wander up to space 15 and kill it. This leaves her in attack range of a fighter and a mage, who together have a 6% chance of killing her at full HP. This baits the fighter to a trap tile, as well. The next turn, Vika will have to evacuate because she will be severely hurt, but I'm confident she should be able to take this.

Myrmidon and Fire Mage will be eliminated. Fighter will move to space 19 to attack Vika and in doing so activate the trap, reducing it to 16HP. Thunder Mage will either move to space 18 to attack Vika on 2 range or space 19 on 1 range to avoid Maelstrom. If mage moves to 18, it will take a minimum of 1 damage from Maelstrom reducing it to 16HP. If the mage moves to 19, it will take no damage from Maelstrom but it will take 5 damage from the trap, reducing it to 12HP.

Other units pose no immediate threat.

Ziaram rolled the same as the enemy myrmidon, activating Vantage. We can recover from this. Shinon continues to attack the fire mage. This is important. Mihira attacks the myrm, and assuming that she doesn't also roll a 3--

Normal attack: range{4-13} = 10%

Critical: {minimum damage, % chance to deal at least that much damage}

You have a marginally lower chance of doing raw damage with critical, but a higher payout. That's up to you.

With Ziaram activating Vantage from the enemy, Gale and I assumed that there was going to be an event post for that and Rath, you weren't on at the time so I was going to wait to ask you in the Blast. Then I realized I can't see when you're online. And I fell asleep before I could PM you!

Um...if you still do skip my turn, I'm sorry, I will try harder to clarify this stuff. I'm trying not to be a burden and hold everyone up. Dx

I'll accept the reason for waiting and let you take your turn.

It was never up to me to do anything for Vantage; Ziaram recognized that he was hit by it, and just needed to calculate the damage he took. Since this was the first time vantage activated, it's understandable that people won't know how to proceed, so I will edit it in for him.
