"I think that's it, thank you" Miyuki replied.
She didn't need anything else. Tilted her head to look at her parents to see what they thought, Lin nodded at this assessment.
"Nothing else, thank you though for all your help."

The others all thanked the girl and her mother for their help as well, and then they headed outside to rejoin Andarien.
Andarien was watching while Eon and Zeus raced each other to different places he specified, and he blinked with surprise when his family returned outside.
"That didn't take you very long," he commented. "You got what you needed, then?"

"Yea, I didn't need anything fancy," Miyuki explained showing him the baskets, "This is just to make a proof of concept."
Once she had an array that worked then she could then figure out how she was going to get a stamp of it. Probably wouldn't happen until they reached the next town, if there was anything in the next town to make something like that.

"Ah," Andarien nodded as Eon and Zeus returned. He wasn't paying attention to who made it first, though. He smiled at the others. "Anywhere else we want to stop then?" he asked.
Iorlas, Daeron and Earendil didn't have anywhere else in particular they wanted to stop, and Earendil looked to Lin and Miyuki to see if there was anywhere they wanted to go, anything specific they wanted to see.

Miyuki shook her head, she didn't have any other place in mind.
"There's nothing I had in mind," Lin admitted, "We could finish up browsing here since this is the last part of the street and then head back."
They had already been out for a good portion of the day.

There wasn't much else on the street, as they were pretty near the end, and it meant that they had made a full circle around the shops of the town and were only a few buildings away from Duran and Elspeth's home. When they returned to the house, Elspeth was outside, working, beating a rug that was hanging over a rope clothesline.
"Good afternoon!" she greeted the group warmly. "Did you have a good trip to town?"

"Yep!" Miyuki replied happily.
Maybe she and Andarien were more alike than they realized, but she really wanted to get to work on all the theories running around in her head.
"It was a wonderful trip, and we managed to find a few things we needed," Lin added.

"I'm glad to hear it," Elspeth beamed. "Your clothes have all dried, I folded them and put them on your beds. Lancaeriel helped me figure out what belonged to whom. And there's some lunch left over on the counter in the kitchen if you're hungry. Help yourself to whatever you'd like."
As an afterthought, she added, "Andarien, Kaito was looking for you, said something about training. He asked me to pass on the message that he'll be waiting for you at the city gates, and for you to bring your swords."
Andarien didn't especially want to go, but he knew Kaito would bug him later if he didn't. "Thanks," he replied. "I'll eat before I go." And he led the way inside.

"Thank you Elspeth," Lin replied, "We completely lost track of time in town."
It hadn't even occurred to her that it was past lunch hour until the woman mentioned it.
Miyuki paused a few steps from the door and turned to recall her Pokemon.
"I'll work outside after lunch, and then you guys can wander, and then later we'll train," she told Ai and Yasu, "Just...make sure I don't get too caught up."
Ai yipped, she understood, and looked forward to doing something truly active, or at least.. mentally active as in the case of psychic Pokemon.

The rest of the day was less active for most of the group, and it was ended with another massive meal prepared by Elspeth and Lancaeriel. After a good night's sleep, the morning dawned cloudless and crisp.
As promised, almost as soon as breakfast was over, before the dishes were even cleared away, there was a knock at the door. It was Sy, with the equipment Lin, Earendil and Andarien had ordered.
"I'm going for some lessons with Sy," Andarien told his parents as he put his new leather gloves on. "I'll make sure I'm back by dinner."
And almost as quickly as she had arrived, Sy and Andarien were gone.
Earendil looked at Lin thoughtfully. "I don't remember him mentioning any lessons yesterday, do you?" he asked her.

Lin blinked and then gave Earendil a wryly look, "Not that I can recall, though he was a bit distracted yesterday."
In a sort of dazed expression she had noted, but she wasn't sure what had caused it.
Miyuki on the other hand, the moment she finished breakfast and had put away her dishes headed back to the room she was using to grab her tools. Mainly the notes she had made yesterday as well as her ink and writing pens.

Earendil chuckled softly. "Maybe it was the buzz of weapons talk going over his head," he winked at her. "You know he tunes that out most of the time."
Sometimes he wondered how much of that tuning out was on purpose. He knew Andarien could listen well when he wanted to.
"Well, I guess we'll see how this goes," he shrugged.

"Well seeing as he was eager to go for those lessons and didn't need to be reminded, I think it'll go well," Lin commented.
Since they didn't know about the lessons, if Andarien hadn't gone they wouldn't have been the wiser. That being said, she wasn't sure if it was just the buzz of weapons....
"Though since Andarien is at lessons... unexpectedly, and Miyuki is... very well distracted for the next good while. What shall we do today?" she smiled up at Earendil as she asked this.

Earendil smiled back at Lin and slid one arm around her shoulders.
"Well," he mused aloud, eyes sparkling, "I heard someone say something about this area being rich in various minerals, and there being mines all around the town ... not to mention, I think they're starting to plant ... shall we go walking, dear?"
It would be a nice change of pace, and they could learn more about the area.

Lin's eyes lit up at the idea of exploring a bit on their own, "Let's."
Wrapping her arm around his waist (it was where she could reach), the two went off.
By the time the end of the day reached, Miyuki had emerged from the room she was using with a stack full of notes in tiny neat writing and plenty of diagrams. She actually hadn't spent the whole day there, as Ai and Senka reminded her to get out and train. Training had included working along side Ai with Miyuki training with her staff, and then running a game of tag in her fox form with Yasu. However, other than that she had been pretty much cooped up in that room writing and she had the ink stains to prove it.
"Maybe we should go out for a run again after dinner," Miyuki commented to her Pokemon.
Yasu yipped in agreement at this, playing tag was fun and he wanted to do so again.
