"That's very valuable information," Jordan said, nodding. "Harrison will be pleased you've brought that back." He'd promised information for information, or rather, his other had. "Please come with me. Harrison and B0nez will want to talk to you."
Ferros swallowed, then said, "Jordan, I need to talk to Tracey in private. Could you excuse us for a few minutes?" He looked to Rep as well, his eyes a mute plea.

"I just know it isn't a phone number." he shrugged at Cee, the trash king was well known for being nuts. It could mean nothing. He hadn't figured anything out yet.
"Ahh well, sure." he got up to follow Jordan, not entirely sure of what he wanted.

"Thanks."
Cee gave Andrew a winning smile and a hard, friendly slap on the shoulder. And also a fluttery wink.
Go do your thing, bro.

Rep nodded to Ferros and Tracey by extension. "Sure." he said. It wouldn't do him any harm to be without Tracey for a few minutes, he couldn't hear his thoughts right now, the distance was insurmountable no matter where he stood.
Tracey gave Ferros' hand a squeeze. He'd never been able to do that. Steel wasn't easy to squeeze.

Saliva was now sitting on the couch, Melvin's head in her lap as he laid there, looking all sorts of crushed as he chewed on another Royal Blue in an effort to make things better. As he did, Saliva continued to brush her hand through his hair, whispering to him as he muttered things about 'unfaithfulness' and 'after all the things I did for him' among other things.

Jerry, meanwhile, had fallen back, and thankfully, fallen silent. He listened to what he could hear of Candace and Jordan's conversation, but his eyes strayed back toward the bar- not for a drink, no, he was done with that although he wanted one with every fiber of his being, but to the piano on the stage not too far from the Boss- from not-Harrison.
He needed to think.
Quietly, he slunk back, made his way up onto the stage without drawing attention to himself before throwing the cover back. It was a nice instrument, nicer than he had played- his childhood came back to him, his REAL childhood - during his old recitals.
He sat, fingers on the keys. He didn't play anything fancy, but his brain grasped onto every note, helping him focus. The Him of the Blue Kingdom didn't play, didn't have the benefit of music to help his unruly emotions and instead had settled on more... destructive tendencies. But if anyone knew, he couldn't play anything too lavish.
Purple Cow worked well enough for his soul.
His brain was working again. He could hold onto Jerry the Sun Hunter as he held onto each note.
He knew what needed to be done.
His eyes drifted to 'Harrison'.

Jordan brushed his hand down Rep's back as he moved away towards the stage, a small, reassuring gesture. It wasn't unusual for his other, and he was grateful for that. He wasn't sure he could have kept his distance.
He stepped up onto the stage, leading Andrew up to Harrison, stopping in front of the chair and trying to ignore the twist in his gut and the dissonance in his head. It wasn't really Harrison. He had to stay focused, had to play his part. "Harrison," he said, and gave the man a lazy smile. "This is Andrew, of the Silver kingdom. He's been very helpful to us while he's been here, and he's brought us some important information. Andrew?" He looked to the Silver, keeping that easy smile in place with an effort.
Ferros squeezed Tracey's hand and gave Rep a small, grateful smile. He led Tracey out to the hallway, forcing himself not to look like he was in a hurry. Time was slipping away, and they couldn't afford delay, couldn't take too much time away from their hunters. Once they were out of sight, though, he swept Tracey into an embrace. Just this once, just themselves. He could feel the other weapon breathing, feel his warmth and his heartbeat.

Concetta, again with only Snap for a companion, drifted to the only other person in the room she'd shared any sort of conversation with. She was much more comfortable in her velour with her hair up than she had been in that slinky gown in the swamps.
"Hey Jerr.." She leaned over the piano, plopping her head on her hands and peering at him with a soft smile. "I didn't know you played.." He hadn't mentioned it when they chatted before. He wasn't playing anything complicated but he wasn't screwing it up like someone who simply 'fiddling' with a piano.
"I sing sometimes." She grinned. "Just sometimes tho." Singing for your supper had been something she'd done in the past. Hadn't she mentioned being a jack of all trades?
Most of the officers were acting strange and Jerry looked uneasier than he'd seemed previously. Was she missing something?

Rep watched Jordan go, glad, so glad he had him here with him. He wasn't sure, even aware of all that was at stake, that he could do it alone. There'd always have been that temptation to just stay here, that maybe they could win, that he could be happy here for a little while rather than sad and alone forever outside, watching Harrison fade away.
He walked up to the side of the stage and waited anxiously.
Tracey though, clung to Ferros like he was drowning. Here they were equal, not so enormously mismatched that relating on this level was forever out of reach. He could feel Ferros' heart too, feel him close. Even despite how alien he was to his normal self, he still was undeniably ferros. It was wonderful, and it was agony, and he couldn't help the tears that came unbidden as he buried his face against that broad chest and twisted his hands in his shirt.
"Ferr."

Jerry blinked up from the keys, his eyes darting to Harrison for a moment. "Just when I'm thinking," He managed. Cee.... had a 'partner' when she converted to Blue... was she a hunter? He didn't remember seeing any new trainee around that looked like her... Suddenly, silly flirtation and intimacy made no difference. She was a lie. A figment of Harrison's imagination fabricated to be there, now, flirting with him.
He had to play along. But he also had to be sure. "Does the phrase Deus Ex mean anything to you?"

"Tracey," Ferros whispered, and pulled back enough to tip Tracey's chin up, lean down to kiss him. He had never been able to do this, perhaps never would again.
Just once.

Candace looked away while Rep and Jordan reunited on this side, a way of giving them some semblance of privacy in the middle of a crowded room. While doing this she saw it, the looks some of their allies were giving them. No, they were not allies, they weren't even real; the reminder broke her heart, especially when she thought of how nice some of them were. The Candace here liked a few of them.
When it looked like they were finally on the move she followed alongside Rep and Jordan to the stage where Jerry already was..playing the piano. That brought a slight smile to her face. "Harrison? Have you thought of any kind of strategy? We've come to help."

Harrison looked over at the small commotion from some of his Officers taking a spill. He was only surprised it wasn't followed up by a swearing fit and some murder, all-considering. Too much to drink, maybe. But they better sober up quick.
The Voice spoke again.
More information than he'd bargained for. He thought deeply, and had a quiet discussion with B0nez- they couldn't disobey the Voice. They were going to war. B0nez rubbed his hands together, doing some calculations.
But Harrison inclined his head to Andrew as he and Jordan approach. "Well," he said, "that's what we're up here for. ...You been getting this?" he asked out of the side of his mouth to B0nez.
"Mmmmmm-hmm- the items of power the Senator mentioned, now that's interesting...." he busied himself on the laptop.
"We're working on it," he told Candace.

"S'at.. latin?" Cee shrugged. "Some kinda code or something?" She didn't know that she was a figment. Maybe she was a made up memory.. or maybe she was in a pod in another universe, slumbering away her life. This Cee didn't know and didn't care.
"Honestly.." Her flirty expression sagged to a more stubborn and frustrated one. Her voice dropped just for him. "I feel like I'm missin something and everyone else is clued in."
There were a lot of quiet sidelong glances whereas yesterday there was simply drinking and yelling and people all over each other. "Or was yesterday just some sort of special occasion? Everybody just hung over now? Or am I not taking the collapsing kingdoms as seriously as everyone else?" Her mouth twisted in displeasure.

He'd wanted to. Wanted to for so long the memories wound back into that fog of oblivion where whatever had happened to them to trap them in their tablets had left him with nothing but a deep raw instinct that it went back further than that. The kiss was everything he'd ever dreamed of because Ferros was behind it, all the worlds, all the places, always chasing the wrong guy just to pretend he didn't already have the right one there with him.
He dragged the kiss on as long as he could, until he was breathless with emotion. When it broke, he stammered weakly.
"I think.. I love you." Think because he was sure he'd said it to other people in the past to manipulate them, use them, push them away eventually too. But he'd never felt it. And there might never be another chance to say it this close, without Rep and Jordan between them or golems, or whatever else fate wanted to put there.
He wondered how long they could afford to sneak off.
