Before took Tori's hand with his own, ignoring the fact that she was a good 4 inches taller than him and that she was wearing a lovely gown while he was posing as an oversized gingerbread man, and carefully pulled her into the beginnings of a Jive.
Meanwhile, several of the presents were trying to dog-pile him >CCCCCC

Before, unfortunately but predictably, had been too preoccupied in fending off the incoming swarm of presents that he failed to spot Aklin's chain in time. He tripped, and ended up slamming Vanna on more attacking presents. "U-uh, I promise my two left feet didn't do that on purpose..." he groaned from the floor.

Tori smiled as Before took her hand and she didn't mind that Before was shorter as she let him lead in there Jive of destruction.
She had forgotten to pick up Aklin's chain as more presents were attacking.

(( Attacking)) Tori blushed a little when Before tripped on Aklin's chain. "Ooops, sorry that was my fualt. But it looks like it was effective on getting rid of those presents," she replied as she gracefully reached down to pick up the offending chain as she swiped her sword at her attacking presents. Loosely wrapping the chain around her sword hand as she extending her free hand to Before to help him back to his feet. Before gratefully accepted Tori's help in getting to his feet, "Heh, no worries~ should have been watching where my feet were going. Tell Aklin I'm sorry for stepping on him, I didn't mean it," 8< he apologized. Knowing that Vanna would have been upset if someone had trod all over her and then didn't so much as apologize!
"And yup! Bring 'em!" he cheered, gleefully pulling Tori back into the Jive. Even as he felt teeth dig into his calves and heels, he ignored it in favor of focusing on smiling happily at Tori.

Despite the piranha-like swarm of boxes nipping at their every step, Before found doing the Jive an fun way to destroy ALL THE PRESENTS!! Having Tori as a partner made it all the more fun, since, well, she was going along with it and not laughing at him for having tripped earlier. He was surprisingly deft considering he was taking the lead as well as hefting the large wheel this way and that, rending and crushing and shredding box after box.
Pretty soon, confetti and wrapping paper scraps were drifting all about the two in a mimicry of snow. <33333

Pulling Before up to his feet, "Alright and I still should have thought to pick up his chain," she replied as Aklin took Before apology as he was good with it but still a little up set with her and she would just get more questions when she least expected it. "Aklin, is cool with it and says no worries," Tori said.
Tori smiled bigger as this was too much fun as she continued to Jive with Before. Total not paying too much attention to the presents attacking and biting her feet, because she was having fun with Before.

(( Attacking)) Not having a care in the world as those piranha-like presents nipped as they danced, it was a fun way to destroy those presents that were trying to destroy there fun. Before was a great dance partner as she smiled and giggles at the fun she was having and was also impressed at his leading while wielding his weapon. She had been too distracted by all the confetti-snow that when Tori swiped at the presents that she missed them. But the confetti snow was so nice to dance under. Before was glad Tori's partner didn't take it against him, he wasn't certain what sort of partner the bladed-chained weapon was. Other than inquisitive from what the female Lifer had told him.

"You're good at this! Lemme guess, parents made you take cotillion at one point?" Before asked with a chuckle, pretty much admitting that he too had been forced to take lessons. Not that he minded it now, seeing as how it was the only reason why he hadn't stepped all over Tori's feet or her dress.

Aklin would never take anything against Tori's friends as he wanted her to make more and to be more comfortable with any social situation. "Also he is glad that we are best friends too," Tori said as Aklin murred as even he was having fun.

To make sure I didn't embarrass them or to have there social status take a hit," she replied as she sighed a little at all those lessons, but they were coming in handy now that they could dance and fight at the same time. Before nodded in understanding. Yes, he knew what it was like to have parents worry that their child would embarrass them. He knew it all too well. And if it weren't for all that JOY buzzing in his system, his smile would have faltered and he might have even stopped dancing. Because this was a subject best talked about in private rather that out in the open while they were step-hopping it about.

The mood remained JOYful even as Before and Tori talked about their experiences with their parents. It wasn't an unpleasant topic of conversation but it wasn't something that was awesome either. "You know, I never thought I'd have someone to talk about these things with. Thank you, Story," <3 he beamed, suddenly attempting to twirl the taller girl and only succeeded in putting a foot into a box that made an attempt for Tori's ankle. Bad present! Bad! >C

Even Tori would have not been smiling at all when talking about her parents, but with her JOY addled brain even that subject she was still smiles and enjoying her dance with Before. It was one subject she didn't want everyone to know about.
