Yume sat on her bed in her room staring down at the book in her lap. She had been reading the same pages over and over again and still felt weird about it. Looking up and over at the clock she sighed. She had been reading the same thing for 20 minutes with no idea what it meant. Throwing the book to the side, she moved her away out of her bed and planted her feet on the soft carpet of her floor. Taking a step, the pain in her lower sides returned causing her to bend over again. "Mom!" She called out never looking up.

Sirene had been in the living room with her own books trying to finish them up. She looked up hearing Yume's voice and placed the book down on the table near the couch and got up slowly before quickly heading towards Yume's door. Opening it slowly, she sighed shaking her head. "Yume, I warned you about moving to quickly. Here, let me help you." Sirene bent down and picked up her daughter before half carrying her back into bed.

Yume placed her hands on her side and winced for a moment before laying back down and taking the pills near her bed. "Why don't people warn us about this? It's not like we want to go through these things." She half smiled up at her mother before laying her head on Sirene's lap.

"We really don't have much a choice. It's a part of nature and to woman, it happens. You know very well men have problems too." Sirene said eyeing the book on the bed that she had given Yume to help her out a little more. It had more than enough information and could cover whatever Sirene didn't.

"I know...I know." She smiled half giggling before looking up at her mother with her large yellow eyes. "Could be worse." Sirene just smiled.

'Dad, i'm going to see Yume!' William called from his position beside the door, a letter clutched within his palm, the last one from his best friend. She had told him about the new problems she was recieving and William was worried, a large bunch of flowers held within his palm along with another letter sealed with the usual angel sticker. The strip of black material was tied around his neck, his palm resting onto the dog by his side, a slightly anguished look splattered accross his features. He was worried - why did she have to go through this now...they were just getting to know eachother properly again.

'William....just, be careful, ok?' Owyln shouted from the kitchen, standing there, holding Cera who was half drinking from a bottle of milk. He gave his son a smile, his ears flicking back towards his head, the father nodding towards his son deciding to stay exactly where he was until he atleast got outside once more. Chuckleing a little as Cera paused from feeding, he gingerly pushed the teet back against her lips, smiling to himself as she started drinking from the bottle once more - appearing almost starving for once.

Thistle sat by her owners side, her head bowed slightly, before nodding lightly towards Owyln's words. She was a dog but she seemed to understand - seemed to grasp some knowledge of exactly what was going on. Wagging her tail a little against her owner's leg, she trod paw by paw over towards the lift, pressing her nose against William's trouser leg. Jumping onto her back paws, she pressed the lift button with her nose, before falling back at Williams side to sit and wait.

William smiled to himself with a nod at his fathers words, following the dog over towards the lift, waiting at the lift doors until they opened. Hearing the usual cling the blind boy stepped inside the lift, his fingertips nervously grasping onto a large bunch of white flowers - each petal seemingly placed in that position for a reason. The boy's hair, still braided with the front two strands, was tied back for once - one long and very loose pony tail drifting down the boy's back all the way past his wings and down towards the end of his t-shirt.

The pair of them were soon out of the lift - heading towards Sirene's flat. The door bell was soon rung, the blind fallen and his guide sitting at the doorstep. Just waiting for someone to answer it, wanting to see their best friend, William needing to talk to Yume about everything - everything he had heard the past few days, everything that boiled up inside, but yet the butterflys still remained. With those butterflys William wasn't about to say a word - he was about go to mute once more.

Sirene heard the doorbell and slowly moved off her daughter's bed placing Yume's resting head on her pillow.Shutting Yume's door, Sirene head towards the front door and opened it slowly. Seeing William there, she smiled and petted Thistles head. "Hello William. Do come in." She sounded almost relieved to see him there and stepped aside to allow the boy into her home. "Yume is in her room resting for a moment. You are welcome to make yourself at home till she wakes. I'm sure it won't be too long now. She is a light sleeper."

Yume laid on her bed, her eyes closed as she felt the pills start to work and remove the pain. Slowly, she fell into a small nap till she heard her mother's voice talking to someone. Who it was, she wasn't sure so she remained still in bed. Slowly sitting up, she looked down at the book still on her bed and grabbed it. Turning back to her page, she started to read again.

'thanks Sirene' William just whispered, following the dog at his heels until he was inside the house once more. His feet brushed up against the carpet, a little spark of hope spriging up inside of him as he felt himself once more in their home, his hand rapidly coming behind his back to hide the bunch of flowers. His cheeks flushed slightly, realising she must have noticed them, opening his mouth to say something before shutting it once more - deciding against babbleing on about a whole load of nothing to this woman.

Thistle licked Sirene's hand as she was petted, sitting down beside William, her tail thumped lightly as it hit the floor every time in a wagg. She seemed to be enjoying her little outing at least, her ears cocked slightly, her gaze watching her owner and awaiting any sign's to move or go forwards from the lad. Somehow the dog had taken it upon herself to guide the young lad around and that was exactly what she was doing - she was a natural guard dog.

'is...is she ok?' William questioned in a worried tone, his chin tilted down towards the ground, two braids of hair falling right infront of his ears and off his shoulderblades once more. His crystal blue eyes gazing down towards the floor, almost as if he could see, but he couldn't - that was evident in his shaky palm holding onto the dog's furry back. His wings stayed flax at his sides, the normal grey shimmering wings seeming to have lightened a little, the pair of them shaking as if he was holding them taunt by his sides.

William actually started to look worried, his tooth biting down hard onto his lips, etching from one foot to another - the butterfly's in his stomach making way for tiny sparks of worry which settled there to burn until Sirene answered his question. He barely smiled, his halo tilting forwards slightly, as usual it was slightly lop sided - the boy never really did manage to ever get a fully straight halo try as he might.

Sirene stepped into the kitchen and pulled out a cup and filled it with the tea she had on. Turning back into the living room, she smiled at William. "She will be just fine. All woman have these problems." She smiled handing him the cup and stepping away. Looking at Yume's bedroom door, Sirene nodded. "She should be up by now. You are welcome to go on in. She will love the flowers."

Yume finally made it through the page and now she knew who else was in her home. "William..." She whispered closing the book and moving to the side of her bed. Slowly, she bent over and slid the book under her bed. She feld strange about having it out while he was there and decided to read more later when he was gone.

Smiling, Yume reached to her night stand and picked up the other book she had been reading. She turned to the page and started it up again but it was hard reading right now knowing he was there.

Williams cheek suddenly went into a total fluster at her last sentence, his ears burning bright red, looking as if once more they were about to sprout off some steam. Nodding a little, he made a small click in the back of his throat, dog and boy walking over towards Yume's room. As soon as he was inside his wings fell loose, his shoulders slouched from their hunched position, his arm holding the flowers fell loose by his side the same as his wings. Finally giving a small smile, he made his way over to what he presumed to be the end of the room, holding the flowers out towards the sound of breathing.

'hope you like them...' he half whispered nervously, his ears just picking up her light breathing, trying his best not to shadow that with his own. The butterflys were gone, for the time being, the strap of material around his neck seeming to almost tighten for a few moments. William barely moved an inch though, he knew exactly what the black cloth was for and he certainly didn't have any plans to take it off anytime soon, the peice of cloth was staying - it was part of what he was, or so the teenager thought at the time being.

Thistle soon left the boy's grasp, padding one step forwards, until she curled up at the bottom of the bed where she had lead the boy to. Lying down, her head soon rested upon her paws, two deep brown eyes blinking up towards the pair of them with a curious look. If there was one thing the dog couldn't understand, it was humans, they were just utterly wierd for her likings. Licking her paws once more, her tail ceased to wagg, closing her eyes as she left the pair of them too it.

'what...what are you reading?' William decided to question, hearing the page of a book flutter over, want to try his best and impress - as Owyn had told him too. His wings fluttered a little before settleing by his sides, his kind eyes blinking in her direction, chin still tilted down towards the floor; as it was almost always these days. His cheeks still held that rosy flush, holding the flowers out, the small bunch being a mix of white and yellow - the yellow flowers dotted around the bunch almost just as decoration, which they were there for anyway.

Yume looked up hearing her door open. She smiled widely seeing William walk in and placed her book in her lap. Before she could say anything, the flowers caught her eyes. "Oh William! They are lovely!" She purred softly taking them from him and smelling their sweet sent. They were heavenly, like nothing else but pure sugar almost to her nose.

Smiling, she looked up and petted the Thistle's head before looking back at William. "It's called Angels and Demons. My mom had it so I thought I would read it. I love it so far." She giggled sitting up in her bed and placing the flowers next to her. "You surprise me. I didn't know you could hear so well." She purred standing up and moving over to hug him tightly. She was happy to seem him and with the pain gone, she didn't mind moving around again.

"Have you been well? That Mr. Owyn and your dad treating you well? And Cera? How is she?" Yume seemed full of energy again and if she couldn't use it, she might as well talk, so she thought. Placing her hand under his chin, she tipped it up to look at her. "And please, even if these are are dark, look at me. I feel like you are speaking to the floor and not me." She whispered softly into his ear before smiling sweetly.

The threesome had returned home at last. Dementia carrying the two sleeping kitsune boys in her arms, looking none too happy to be doing it as well. She wanted to dump them somewhere but she knew this was part of her duty, to care for them and make sure they all got home safe. "Bleh, we could stand to lose one of them."

Avery charged down the hallway, holding two paper bags by their handles high up in the air as he ran. The bags themselves were filled to overflowing with what appeared to be tinsel, garland, bows and other such goodies. "Christmas time is coming, Christmas time is coming, Christmas time is coming, lalaladala!" Avery was singing a Christmas song at the top of his lungs, though he didn't know all the words. It was a song that had been playing on the country station Rime preferred in her car.

Alida, Ritsu and Rime followed much more sedately, Ritsu uttering a near constant stream of apologies as he nearly dropped his own burden several times. Alida was carrying a huge arm full of wrapping paper and had bags of ribbons and tags hanging from her elbows, and he had hold of his own two large bags filled with strings of lights and ornaments. Rime herself had the largest task, that of a tree stand, treeskirt, and a couple extension cords, as well as a bag containing the star.

This heavily burdened procession made its way down the hallway to the apartment, where Rime suddenly realized she couldn't set anything down without something falling, and she couldn't reach her keys with her hands full, and stared at the door in dismay. "Oh, crap..."

Alida realized the problem, set down her rolls of paper, and smiling, dug into her pocket for her own key. She unlocked the door and held the door open with a little curtsy and a cheeky grin.

"Thank you, sweetie. C'mon, Ritsu, you first, and set those on the couch, dear. Avery, come on back! You have to get rid of the bags before you can go find Erik! Alida, set those in the corner, okay? Thanks, hon. Whew!" Everyone managed to unload their things without dropping them, even Avery, who ran in the door, dropped the bags, and then ran back out without even setting them up straight.

"Okay, see you later, I'm gonna go find Erik!" He was too excited to be polite, and didn't even shut the door behind him. Alida vanished into the bedroom, without even a backward glance, and shut the door tight.

Rime shook her head, and left it that way. He'd be back soon enough... and Ritsu was picking up the bags, apologizing for his slowness in doing so, though it wasn't anything near being his fault. "I should have been able to carry more, then he wouldn't have dropped them... I'm so weak and pitiful, I'm sorry, Rime-san!"

Rime sighed. She'd given up trying to lessen his stream of apologies. She would just be supportive, and hope he grew out of it on his own, though it didn't look like it would happen any time soon... "Ritsu, sweetie... come here, please." Her words cut him off mid-sentence, and he came over, looking a bit nervous. She sat on the couch and pulled him up on her lap, hugging him close.

"Rime-san? Are you sad? I'm sorry, It's all my fault, I'm such a wicked person and don't deserve--"

"Shh... I'm not sad. I just wanted to thank you with a hug, that's all. You were wonderful today! You carried almost as much as Alida, and she's bigger than you. I'm proud." She smiled and hugged Ritsu close, putting a finger over his mouth every time he tried to apologize for whatever imagined slight he thought he was the perpetrator of.

((Waugh... that was long... and it turned kind of pensive at the end, which isn't what I intended at all... It was supposed to be a fluff, 'We did our christmas decorating!' post, but we didn't even get that far... *sigh* Maybe tomorrow, ne?))

The decorations were slowly finding their way onto walls and into windows, the tree stand was in the corner awaiting a tree, and the skirt was layed neatly around it. Lights were strung into the window, and blinking merrily. There was no fire place, but Rime made sure everyone had stockings hung on the wall behind the couch.

Rime was pooped. She lay on the couch, one arm and leg dangling over the edge, the other holding the remote she was using to channel surf. Avery was sitting next to her, complaining every time she turned the channel.

"Aww.... but that looked good! And that was my favorite cartoon! Mo~om! C'mon!"

"Stop whining, Av, sweetie. Look, we'll go back to the cartoon, okay?" And so she did.

"Yes!" and he bounced on her legs happily, to which she responded with a half-hearted swipe of her hand and a irritated noise, causing him to stop.

Alida poked her head out of the bedroom, where she was doing Ritsu's hair into a braid. Seeing that it was indeed a good cartoon, she motioned Ritsu to follow her and they both trooped into the living room to watch as well. Luckily, regular television had not yet been superceded by Christmas specials.

And so they sat, the day before Thanksgiving (Rime had the kitchen stuffed extra full of all sorts of food, waiting for the big day), bathed in the glow of the television and blinking strings of lights. Avery was munching on a bowl of popcorn, and occasionly, Alida would elbow him to give her and Ritsu some. Ritsu, of course, would never stand up for himself, though he had cast a couple of longing glances Avery's way. Rime ignored them all, except for an occasional mumble to settle down, and her legs soon went numb from Avery sitting on them.

Avery was making his way quickly down the hallway, flapping his wings and making wooshing noises as he made his little bat plushie swoop and circle in the air like an airplane. He was on his way to Erik's apartment, but his progress was often stopped by the need to backtrack and do swooping motions.

He finally got to the door he was looking for, and raised his hand to knock on the wood, grinning. He hoped Erik was home...

The house had been silent for a few days, two children parked on the sofa, the younger curled up upon the elder's lap. William had returned a few days back from Yume's, the pair of them having sent eachother frequent messages, and even now the fallen had a peice of canvas and a pen grasped within his palm. Anyone could tell he was struggleing but whatever happened he sat there trying his best to write up some letter to his best friend, half watching his baby sister engorph herself within the latest TV program which was splattered accross the screen.

Cera smiled to herself, leaning back against her brother, her palm coming up so she could press her gums down hard onto her bright blue teething ring. The neko had grown a bit, put some weight on, and now was looking far more like a normal baby, her cheeks flushing slightly with the heat of the room. Her ears twitched back towards her head, her tail wagging softly, watching the large pink thing float accross the screen singing a happy song.

'happy?' William questioned, feeling her move her palm over, pausing a few moments from paper to pen. These days he praised himself for learning how to write without looking at the paper, it was a skill he used, and it was one very good way of keeping in touch with the neko downstairs. His wings twitched slightly behind him, blank eyes covered over by a large peice of black cloth, the cloth tied up at the back of his head in a rather scruffy manner. Though the knot wasn't seen - his hair tended to cover it anyway.

Getting a babbled response, the baby blinked up towards her older brother, her dark brown eyes gazing up towards the boy she had been with for the past few hours while her father was out shopping. Returning her gaze back towards the television, she small baby knawed on her teething ring with her one singular neko fang, going quiet once more - which was a blessing only to be found when she was doing something that kept her happy.

'i'll take that as a yes....' William said, finally smiling to himself, he had become fond of the little neko that had taken up his father's heart. Finishing off with his pen, he folded the paper into two, holding it out. Somehow he knew the robin would come and collect it - she always did. Feeling the usual peck of her beak against his palm, he settled back against the sofa with a sigh, the back of his head pressing against the dark blue material of the couch.

Thistle meanwhile raised her head from where she had been lieing, seeing the bird flutter out of the window, she dragged herself to her paws and followed over towards the couch. Lying down beside it, her head mounted upon her paws, the dog settled there beside her owner once again. Barely noticing as three scraps of fur threw themselves accross the rug swiftly followed by a flash of red and white fur; Vixy.

The door of room 43 swings open before a man steps out stopping a a toddler from walking too far away ''Kain, wait wait...'' he says locking the door while struggling to keep keep the toddler from walking away. ''I know you want to go see her..'' he murmurs grabbing the toddler's hand, shaking his head amusedly feeling him squeeze in his hand.

Kain pulls at his father's hand and squeezes it, wanting to go see Cera. Not knowing Owyn is planning to leave him there for the rest of the day, wanting a peaceful day. ''Hurry..'' the toddler says, his vocabulary grew quite a bit. Looking up at his father he keeps pulling his father, trying to get him to move. The lizard still rests on the shoulder of Kain, looking up at the commotion he crawls from the shoulder onto Kain's head, accidently using the headband to get on his head. Normally the headband would slide down in front of Kain's head, but it was safely resting on his ears.

''Calm down..'' Owyn says amusedly, knocking on Owyln's door, impatiently looking on his watch before turning back to the door ''Come on come on..''

William suddenly looked up, hearing the sound, biting down hard onto his lip before half shouting 'dad!' as he had been ordered to if anyone actually came to the door. His wings curled up a little against his back, chin suddenly tilting down, the confident part of himself that he had just managed to retain with his little sister leaking out of him by the second. The teen brought his arms back to wrap around his little sister, two long flocks of hair falling over his shoulders, landing right on the small neko's ears.

There was a small lock turned, Owyln appearing from the back room, his ears flicking right back towards his head as he heard the constant knocking emmiting from the door. Shaking his head slightly his slippers trudged accross the floor, padding right over until he opened the door, his gaze blinking into that of his best friends. Almost groaning inside, he gave Owyn what could be classed as a sheepish smile, his palm quickly coming up to sort out the mop of hair upon his head. Straightening out his jumper a few moments later.

Cera blinked as the hair fell accross her eyes, with another garble of 'choo', she pushed the two flocks right away from her nose to make sure she wouldn't end up sneezing. Barely noticing her father trudge over from his room, the neko kept gnawing on her teething ring, her tail still flicking happily from one side to the other behind her. Two large black ears that adorned her head twitching slightly, though there was a problem, one ear was stained white at the tips - almost as if the neko had been messing around with bleech one day.

William tilted his chin up, hearing Owyn's voice, he plucked up Cera and promptly placed her upon the sofa. Picking himself to his feet as he made his way over towards his room, paper and pen tucked beneath his arm, the boy finding his way swiftly over towards his room. The door closing on the way back, his movements having been slow and almost depressive now his letter writing was finished, his wings falling flatly against his back.

'morning?' Owyln said with a nervous smile, half watching his son exit, before his gaze scooted over towards the baby who sat now upon the sofa leaning back against the pillows - still devouring her teething ring the best she could with her gums. He knew the place wasn't exactly tidy, but it was almost christmas, and he had managed to get out his advent calander which was settled against the wall - two sets of chocolate sitting at each day. Letting his tail flick around his trouser leg, he groaned a little, feeling the scrrry of feet as another bundle of fluff escaped from beneath his legs followed by his mother. The vixen carrying the cub back inside within her jaws.
