Mot listened intently to Hel's coverage of what went on, his stomach clenching at the thought of Lizzy having been kept there.
Specimens.. Hunters.. Soul Harvester... There was just so much to take in.
"That light.." Mot murmured, furrowing his brow as he recalled his vision. "..Did.. anyone else hear some people talking in it? It sounded like the ghost lady and... I saw a figure..."

Oh... So that's what had offed her.
Riyo wasn't sure how she felt now that the information was on the table. That thing had managed to take her out with minimal effort, and the suggestion that Roch would be able to take them on after exams was even more laughable than before. Taking a seat in her usual corner, the ghoul continued to listen to Hel and what she'd experienced in that tent. One word stuck out amongst the rest.
... Specimens.
"S-so what. We're lab scrags now? Specimens for what? What could we accomplish for them in such a weak state? And what of the woman? What of the 'soul harvestor'?" Since that's what Hel was calling her. Ugh. It seemed that trying to pick up the pieces only brought more into view.

Specimens. That word sent an odd chill through Mitsu's body and she visibly paled. There wasn't much to say on where she had been other than what Shun had divulged but the thought of what had been beyond the tent.
"I...is that why Bul said...something about being turned into a weapon?" Mitsu asked unable to shake the oddly eerie feeling she had all of a sudden. Because of this she huddled a little closer to Shun, curling up into the arm that was around her back.

Taking another bite of the jerky, Shun frowned while he listened to what Hel had to say. It was quite a bit to take in. He noticed she mentioned there were others outside of their fellow students, but he did not see any strangers out on the yard with them. Something must have happened to the rest. The Harvester didn't leave them behind did she?
The term specimen also elicited a sneer. These.. false Reapers. Just who the hell did they think they were? Stealing them away and the like. Experimenting on them? What else did they do?
"I heard her speak to another yes," he replied to Mot before looking to Riyo darkly while adding onto what Mitsu had to say, "Perhaps that's how they got those weapon of theirs, but I suppose it could be something less literal as well. Either way, he feared that's the fate Barth has before him as we speak. "

Entering from Group 2 Going to be sleeping soon, reactions will be minor. Bul is kinda waiting it out anyway so..
Ah the hub. A place that Bul was slowly beginning to consider a safe haven in this house. The rooms were perilous but even worse was what lay outside the mansion. Nothing could be more welcoming than the reminded-him-of-home cobwebs and hardly lit hall.
Knowing his group was together and safe again gave him confidence and for now all he could think of was stretching his limbs in natural form.. and maybe even getting in a bit of shut-eye before the next room. Something about the hub gave him a feeling of safety and despite the group already in the boil curled up beneath one of the windows and lay in beast-form, tail flicking every now and then reflecting his patience.. er... perhaps lack thereof.

[[Entering]] (I'll be in and out all day.)
Willow yawned, a nap was actually a good idea. The tiger ghoul thought as she saw Bul; she found an empty corner that looked safe enough to hide away in. Changing to her natural form she curled up however her eyes were still on those around them... for now.

“Ah…yes!” Hel looked over at Mot, nodding a bit. How funny that she was thinking about that, right at this moment. “…I believe the figure…was wearing a purple cloak…and…ah…clocks, possibly?” The reaper’s brows furrowed. “…A thought struck me as well…wasn’t there a figure wearing a purple cloak…standing with Professor Red when we first arrived at the house?”
The reaper looked around as the conversation was exchanged between her team members. “…Specimens for weapon conversion I imagine…if one were to connect the dots…” Hel made a disgusted face. “…Lizzy had said…that their weapons could sap our Fear…and that…the weapons…used to be students like us. Most likely…detained and tortured before becoming a tool…” She looked over at Shun as he spoke about Barth, and frowned. “…All of us…reappeared in the front yard…why…couldn’t Barth?” She looked back over at Riyo. “After the white light and the conversation…I am not certain what happened to her…”
The reaper glanced over at Team Venture entered the room, and couldn’t help but chuckle lightly as a few of them crawled into a corner for a nap. That actually didn’t sound like such a bad idea…but…Hel was too wired at the moment to even try.

Riyo's face drained considerably when her team clarified just what they did with specimens. "T-they... Can turn us into inanimate objects?" The feline could feel her heart sink back to the farthest crevices of her insides.
"So all those weapons they had..." Riyo looked down at her hands, trying to picture herself in that place. "They were... Like us." What a horrible existence.
"... Can you imagine-" She started, her legs folding up as if she wanted to be as small as possible. "Being trapped in the form of an item? Unable to feel? Unable to move by yourself? ... Unable to die?" It was a painful thought. The cat demon had never been particularly thrilled with the life she had, but...
"... Being stuck with your own thoughts... For all that time..." She felt sick. Her stomach was churning with the thought of such a painful thing. Phasing out of existence sounded like a pleasant reprieve in comparison...

((entering from OUTSIDE haunted house)) Vieve stormed into the house, still angry. Taking a moment to compose herself, she closed her eyes... then looked up to see a bunch of people she hadn't seen before.
She'd made the right decision, then, hadn't she? To come back into the house, and fight alongside other halloweeners. Some of them she recognised from outside the house, even if she didn't know them personally.
On some level she felt comforted that she was among peers. And speaking of that.. where were Lizzy and Lattice? Hadn't they taken her side earlier...?

[Entering from the outside. *jazz hands*]
"Vieve!" She called out, stumbling into the familiar looking room - the place they had entered after their first challenge - through the door, "Wait up!" There was a frown on her face; part of her still felt terrible for just walking away from Edel like that, especially since they had just gone through something terrible together, but...
She slowed to a stop beside Vieve and took a moment to breathe, glancing briefly at the door with their group number on it before looking at her group mate again, "I wonder... If we were too harsh on Edel..."

“… Apparently so, friend…” Hel murmured shifting her shoulders as she reached up to tug on one of her braids. The reaper gave a short laugh. “ Actually, no, I can not imagine, nor do I want to. That is a fate worse than not existing anymore…to be converted into an object…and turned against your kind…” The thought of being turned into a weapon and then running through Mot, Mitsu, Shun and Riyo made her sick, so she shook her head and dismissed it entirely. Hel looked up as another student stormed into the room, one who looked like she wasn’t about to take a nap…but…oh! “ Ah! You!” The reaper called out to Vieve and made a motion to the ghoul, beckoning her. From that vision she received, Hel recalled this ghoul being inside the cages. “ I apologize to ask this of you, friend…but you were in the cages, were you not? Would you be able to tells us anything that we may not be aware of?” Oh, and then Lizzy appeared too!

Speak of the demon. It turned out Lizzy was right behind her, after all. She offered the other girl what.. seemed like it was intended to be a smile.
"She deserved it- she's as good as a traitor. I don't want to talk about it anymore." Would Edel follow? At the present moment, Vieve didn't feel like she could stand the presence of that particular "team"mate.. but then someone called out to her, and she turned to look at a reaper with a.. strange appearance.
Friend..? How forward. But at this moment, that was the least of Vieve's concerns.
"I don't know how much you know," she answered honestly. "We were captured by a group of plumbers that attacked us suddenly. The room we were in was leaking- water everywhere- and I thought those odd figures in white jackets were here to repair it, but they tried to trap us in nets- and then their boss attacked us with his scythe.. and we regained consciousness we were in a cage."
Talking about the experience brought back unpleasant memories for her, and Vieve soon found herself shaking with rage.
"They treated us like.. .. worse than minipets. They called us 'things', and mocked us, and the worst part was when they shoved a.. I think it was a ghost- into this machine they had, and turned her into a weapon."
Were they some radical faction of halloweeners? Vieve wasn't sure- after all, they looked like reapers, with their weapons. And yet those weapons were formed from other halloweeners. Wasn't that like cannibalism, in a sense?
It made her sick.

Speak of the demon is a direct pun here. Well played.
Vieve's reply would receive a soft sigh from Lizzy, although she begrudgingly nodded; the issue would be dropped for now... Whether Edel followed them or not would be up to her, since it was her life, after all. Looking on the bright side, at least it was 2 pills to three students rather than four!
"Not only that," She chimed in with a frown, turning to look at Hel, "They placed another Halloweener into the same machine and called her 'incompatible'... Something about not being able to be turned into a weapon? And they just disposed of her the same way someone might flush a dead minipet down the toilet - with the push of a button... Then again, I consider death the better option here, really."

"I can't stand it," she seethed. "I can't stand the idea of belonging to someone. Of not being in control of my own.. body."
Somehow, she'd managed to rile herself up again, and that mildly irritated the salamander; she should be cool, calm and collected, instead of being stupidly emotional. It was, she assumed, impairing her judgment, amongst other things.
But if she had to be completely honest- with herself as well as anyone else, she was terrified. Terrified of losing herself. Terrified of having to yield to someone else's will. It was this fear that fuelled her, now, along with her rage. It felt almost silly, at this point, to dash back into the house, where the danger was, but Edel was wrong- she had to be wrong.
You could not run away from something you were scared of- you had to confront it. That was the only way you could win, and Vieve?
Vieve won all the things.

Riyo's eyes widened as she saw Lizzy for the first time after the fiasco, though she quickly dropped it. The ghoul was safe. There was no need to say anything about it. She hadn't been worried after all... Right? Right. Not worried at all. Mhm.
In the meantime, Riyo just listened to the ghouls' stories, her ears twitching at the horror they were being fed. A machine? Incompatible? These thoughts seemed to make the feline lose all color from her face. "Nonexistence... Is much kinder..." She mumbled, her hands wrapping around her legs. "I hope to any deity that might be around that I would be incompatible..." It didn't matter what that might entail. If that said she was too weak, so be it. It wouldn't matter once she was gone for good, would it? Anyone around to witness it could spout about how weak of a demon she was. The ghoul wouldn't be around to hear it...
There was a sudden dank feeling in the room as Riyo stewed in her own miserable thoughts, stuck on the idea that she could be trapped with her own mind forever. It scared her. It TERRIFIED her, and for once, Riyo was helpless to hide it. There would be no music to distract her. No paperwork to focus on. Just... Her...
