s**t, I'm an idiot. Sorry. I totally read that when you posted it, and somehow I just completely missed it when writing mine. I'll go fix that now and then hide in a corner.

Wanderer, half of me wants to kiss you right now, and the other half wants to whack you with my notebook.
Why, you inquire?
The video you so wonderfully created for us stirred up my hibernating ff muse (yay) and now he keeps me up all hours of the night teasing me with out of order scenes for my new ff piece (boo).
So yeah, it's cool and not cool at the same time. Go figure.

First off, I did not make that video. I am just shamelessly promoting it. That being said, what is wrong wit some lovely Remus/Sirius wooing? Ha ha. It is the best one I have found yet.

@Angel: I hadn't even realized Nightcrawler was dead in some of the storylines. sweatdrop So, it's all good if he is still around instead of dead~

Nightcrawler died during the Second Coming storyline, taking a lethal stab to the chest to save Hope Summers from Bastion and subsequently taking her to Utopia.
The current Nightcrawler that's in X-Force is the Nightcrawler from the Age of Apocalypse universe, not from the main Marvel universe.

@Lindsey: So in the main Marvel universe, he is dead? Because I've been wanting to read the X-men comics. But all these different alternate universes confuse me, and I don't know which universe is the more "canon" one. Unless none of them are the main canon storyline? x.x

Yes, Nightcrawler is currently dead in the main Marvel Universe.
The main universe, Earth-616 is the one that's been around for over 70 years and is the one that all the other alternate universes take their inspiration from. Most of Marvel's comics take place in this universe. Next to that the second longest-running universe is the Ultimate Universe, or Earth-1610, whose comics are easily identified by the Ultimate or Ultimate Comics tag.
Most of the alternate universes are actually the result of reality hopping/warping in the main universe(such as stuff like House of M, Age of Apocalypse, Age of X, Days of Future Past, the Amalgram Universe, etc.) and are the result of major events in said comics that are usually reversed when that event is wrapped up unless they decide to revisit that universe again in later comics. Other ones are usually created via a new company imprint to meet a certain goal that they can't do in-universe(such as Ultimate, Noir, 2099, New Universe, Earth X, Mangaverse(yes, this actually happened), or MAX) or are part of creator-owned universes(such as Kick-a** or Criminal). The vast majority of minor universes though, are usually one-shot scenarios portrayed in Marvel's long-running "What if...?" comics, which are usually either parodies or alternate scenarios of main Marvel Universe events.
Keep in mind I'm not including licensed stuff like Marvel's Star Wars, Transformers, GI Joe, Conan the Barbarian, Halo, or Ender's Game comics.

Alright. That makes a lot more sense. So, if I were to go out to a comic store to get X-men comics, I should be able to tell apart the Earth-616 universe from the others(Such as Age of Apocalypse, assuming that is an example of a universe that isn't a one-shot type deal)? I assume I would, but I just want to make sure since I wouldn't want to look like an idiot.

Well the universe resulting from the Age of Apocalypse is completely war-torn and, well, apocalyptic. House of M is ruled by Magneto's family, and again, it's pretty easily to tell apart.
Most of, if not all, the storylines set in other time lines or universes are clearly labelled as such, so you shouldn't have any sort of problem.

Marvel is pretty good at keeping that kind of stuff organized when it comes to alternate universes.
