Victoria could tell he was irritated even before he said anything, and she felt even worse. She saw him tense up and something vibrated after he said her name. She jumped since it made a loud sound on the table. She looked over and it was a phone, still vibrating, and he was ignoring it and talking to her instead. She felt a bit better knowing that he was still talking to her. She focused on his words and they were a bit confusing. She understood them somewhat, and took a sip of her water. She watched him pick up the phone and check something, and then grasped it in his hands as he came over to her. He had taken her hands in his own, and she hadn't blushed at all so far. He took in a breath and stared into her eyes. Her brown eyes settled on his green ones, and she found herself leaning in...but he was talking again, and looking at her feet almost. She leaned back, still holding his hands, and almost did tell him how she felt, even though she wasn't sure at all what she felt for him at that moment. He was her friend. He was sweet and nice to her, and she loved him like a brother already. She suddenly smiled at him, and he kissed her on her cheek. She moved back a bit in surprise, her cheeks already starting to flame with red. That was nothing, right? she asked herself, breathing more shallow than before. He was moving away from her now, and telling her he had to go. Disappointed, she bit her lip and nodded, watching him put down his phone and stopping at the door. He was turning around now, and she told her maybe he had changed his mind. Maybe he wanted her to go with him. She perked up and looked at him, but he said something about Aria and was opening the door. She was ready to walk to the bedroom, but he spoke once again, asking her if she needed anything. Or wanted to tell him anything..since he would be leaving for a little bit. She held in a breath and let it out slowly, taking a step towards him. "Dante..." She hesitated, wanting to tell him a lot, but wanting to tell him nothing. What she felt for him, and what she didn't feel for him. There was so much to say, but she chose to say nothing. A few tears escaped and rolled down, and she turned away, whispering, "Nothing. I'll see you when you get back."

He hesitated to leave. He wasn't sure what she wanted to say. He wasn't even sure if he wanted to leave. Everything in life confused Dante. He thought about everything in an instant before he left. There was something on her mind and Dante had to know. Maybe she really did feel the same way as he did. Or maybe she didn't. Maybe she didn't Dante to leave. He saw tears, and he knew what tears meant. As she was turning away, Dante stuck around, so he could ask her something. "Vicy. Are you sure you don't have anything to say?" Dante was hard to fool. He could read people's actions and feelings. This is how he learned to intimidate people.

Victoria saw him hesitate and her hopes soared once again. She looked towards him and sighed. "I..Dante...I'm not sure." She really wasn't. She was so confused, and lost. Her life was messed up. Dante had probably been the best thing that had happened to her since her parents. The tears stopped, but she felt like she was about to throw up. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "Dante, you feel like my brother but..I think.." She trailed off, not sure if she was right or wrong. She blinked, opening her eyes once again and looking up at him. He was only feet away, but it felt like miles.

Dante played along. He was looking for answers. He would do anything to get these answers. He didn't care what it took. "You think what?" Dante said as he took a few steps forward and closing the door. He wondered if she would finally admit her thoughts to him. He didn't care what they were. He just wanted to know.

Victoria stared at him and didn't even pay attention to the door. Victoria smiled at him and whispered slowly, "Dante..I think I..like you. More as a brother..." She was so confused. Did she? Didn't she? She felt like a little kid telling her father she stole a cookie out of the cookie jar.

Dante stopped. He looked at her with relief. Not relief because of the answer, but because he finally knew her answer. She looked confused still though. He kinda thought that her answer was on shaky ground. That it wasn't a positive answer. She would know soon enough what she really felt. "If that's how you truly feel then that's fine. But I suspect that's not how you truly feel." Dante said he turned towards the door. He began to walk and he opened it. "Remember to call me if you need anything. Oh and maybe this is a good time to think about things." Dante said as he slowly closed the door. The door finally made the click that it was shut and he was on his way. He walked down the steps and out the main door. He came up to the bus stop not too far from Victoria's apartment. He checked the schedule that was posted inside the glass shelter. To his disappointment, the bus would not be coming for the next hour, so he decided to walk. The classic car dealership was not too far away from where he was at. Plus he needed some fresh air.
As he was walking he thought about where he wanted to live. There were not some apartments by the music shop, but Dante rather have something bigger. Dante was a big dreamer. Anything he wanted was big. Things that most people worked hard for. He decided he wanted to get a condo. He could have people live with him, have people over for events, and not have to worry. As he was walked and day dreamed about what he wanted, he bumped into a homeless man asking for change. Dante stopped.
"Hey sir. Can you spare a little bit of change?" The homeless man asked him. The guy looked rough. He looked like he hadn't showered in days. Like he hadn't ate a good meal in days. Dante felt sorry for him. "Yeah." Dante said as he took out his wallet. He placed a twenty in the guy's open hands. "I hope this helps." He said as he walked away.
Dante continued along his walk. He looked around as he passed by people. The town seemed foreign to him. He hadn't been this far away from his home in years. It all seemed new to him. The shops, the buildings....everything had changed since Xavier lived over this way. People glared at Dante as he walked by. This was the upperclass part of town and to be honest, Dante looked nowhere near upperclass. He looked like a punk searching for trouble. Ripped jeans, leather jacket, boots, and a hair cut like he was in the military. He didn't care what people thought of him though. It was nothing new for Dante to be glared at. Soon enough he came up to the classic car dealership.
He stopped at this car. His eyes lit up with joy as he looked at the beautiful piece of machinery. It was a midnight blue '69 Mustang Fastback with a black racing stripe. The inside was leather and looked new. The car was polished and looked like it just rolled off the assembly line. A man came out of the shop and approached Dante.
"She's a real beaut isn't she?" The man said as he stopped at Dante's side. "Yes she is. Looks brand new." Dante said in amazement. "She practically is. I'm assuming your just checking her out right?" The man said. Dante walked up to the price sticker on the window. It said thirty-five thousand in bright red numbers. "I'm actually going to buy her." Dante said as he looked at the man. The guy looked at Dante dumbfounded. "It won't be here by time you get the money son." "I mean today. Now." Dante told the guy seriously. "It's thirty-five thousand dollars." The man said as he looked at Dante. "Ok no problem. Lets go do the paperwork." Dante was serious. "You have that kind of money?" The man looked at Dante suspiciously. "Yup. Shall we go inside." Dante said as he pointed to the door to the building. "How did you get that kind of money." The man questioned him. "We're not here to discuss this." Dante defensively said. "Fine, fine. Let's go inside." The man said as he headed towards the building.
Once inside they sat down. "Ok son. I have to make a few calls to verify that you can pay for this. Can you just fill out this paperwork for me?" He said as he pulled some papers out of the desk. Dante filled out the paper work and handed it back to him. The man looked it over and called Dante's bank. "Do you mind if I check with your bank?" The man asked. Dante nodded. The salesman picked up the phone and dialed the number.
"Yes I have a Mr. Dante Reynolds looking to buy a car. I'm just verifying that he's able to pay for it." The man said and paused. He sat quiet for a while. "Oh. He can. Ok thank you." The man hung up the phone. He looked at Dante. "That's a good sign. How will you be paying today?" The man asked him. "With a check." Dante said as he pulled out his check book and I.D. The man paused. He looked at Dante and pondered how Dante could even have that much money before he continued. "Ok there's a fee-" The man was cut off. "Just give me the final price. I don't care about fees." Dante barged in. "Ok it'll be forty thousand dollars." Dante wrote out the check. The man gave him a few papers to sign. "Ok sign here, here, and here." he pointed to some lines. Dante signed it and handed the check to the man.
Soon enough the man was giving Dante his paperwork, a temporary license plate, and everything else he needed. He handed Dante the keys. "Well here you go. The title will come in the mail. Just get plates for it within thirty days. Oh and sorry about your friend Alex, Mr. Reynolds." Dante looked at the man. "Thanks sir." Dante got into his new car and started it.
The engine hummed and roared as it idled. Dante's dream came true as he pulled away. He revved the motor a few times and listened to the power. He pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards Aria's job. He parked in the parking lot out front of the record store. He revved the motor a few more times as the car moved from the power. He shut off the car and got out as he locked it. He shut the door and walked into the record store. It wasn't too busy as he approached the counter that Trisha and Aria was at. "Hey guys." Dante casually said to the two of them.

Aria looked up and saw Dante standing there. Trisha just acknowledged his existence and went back to eating.
"Did I hear keys when you walked in?" Aria aked glancing past him.
She walked over to the door and saw the midnight blue car out front.
"D...Ho...Wha-..." she stammered and added "That's not...your's, is it?"

Dante smiled at Aria. He had the biggest grin on his face. He looked at Trisha and back at Aria. "Yeah it's mine. Why do you like it?" Dante said as he looked out at his new car. He was waiting for Aria to go all ape crap on him. He knew it was coming.

Aria smiled and walked over to Dante.
"I love it! Let's go outside so I can get a better look."
She gave him no choice and pulled him outside.
"DA ******** BRAH!?" she yelled.

Dante barely kept himself from falling as Aria dragged him outside. He heard the starts of her protest about his action. "I see no problem in getting it." Dante protested at her words. "It's part of my big plan, which also involves you too. That's why I asked if you wanted to hang out today." Dante said as he walked over to his car.

"Well I got kicked out of my house for a while. So I decided that instead of going back that I want to just get my own place. I also know that I need to change. Meaning no drinking or stupid things." Dante paused before speaking. He walked back over to Aria and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Now this is where you come in. I have a little proposition for you." Dante stopped to see if she would protest. To see if she wanted to hear what he had to say.

"Ok first things first. Don't lean on the car." Dante said as he went and lifted her up to where she was standing straight. Dante put on his serious face. He didn't really have one but he tried. "Ok. I know you hate living at home. So here's my proposition. How about you move in with me? I need help getting my life together. So you be the person who keeps me in check. Plus you get to live in a peaceful home, no stress, come and go as you want, and the house will be big enough for us to live our separate lives without interference." Dante paused before giving the cherry to top of this awesome deal that he is presenting to her. "Plus you have to pay nothing. I have everything covered." Dante paused again. He's never told Aria about how he gets by. This would be the time to tell her. "I have the finances to do this, that I've never told you about." Dante said this last bit of info and let her think about it.

Aria took a thinking stance and then looked at Dante.
"First," she said and punched him in the shoulder "don't touch me like you know me." She laughed and added "Second, that sounds great, however my parents would murder me before I made it out the door. And third, what the hell do you mean 'It's covered'? How do you have all this money all the time? I've never seen you work a day in my life!."
She had actually been wondering how he'd become so wealthy all of a sudden, but with everything that had been going on in the last three years and the fact that she didn't want to be all in his business, it never seemed like the right time to bring up the question.
She glanced over her shoulder and looked at Trisha. Hopefully, she wasn't scaring Daren. ~~~~~~~~~~~
Trisha sat there sipping at a caramel frappe'; she had finished the food long ago.
"So seriously," she said in between sips "are you and Aria dating?"
