Right guys. We have exactly 1,439,281 gold to spend. for prizes. I like Dusky's idea of a Puppy Love Plushie and Lovebird Plush and Love Drunk. Any other ideas? I'm thinking of different coloured roses too. =D What say you?

i like it, and i might be able to make it, we dont start packing until maybe mid-late september, and so my mom might not cut internet by the time the ball rolls around

Ooooh I loved the colored roses idea! We could color code it with ribbons they give out during contests. Like 1st place would get a blue ribbon, 2nd gets a red one, and third gets a yellow one (I think that's the order >.<) along with other prizes. It'd be kinda tacky to do it with more than one or two contests, though. It sounds awesome biggrin We can also just use money for prizes. Each of you will probably get some money anyway, and you can use it to buy a few smaller prizes or to give as money. At least that's how it worked last year. As for other prize ideas: Winter RoseScarlet RoseMagical GirlI'll look for more later. And guys, I'm serious. We need you to have your contests finished soon so we know about how many prizes we'll actually need and so we can edit them and make them as good as they can get. I'm going to be gone all of next week but the week afterwards I'll work with any of you that need it to get these contests done. We only have a week left until it's already August. Just think about it this way: last year we started later and had the ball a lot earlier, and we got everything done. We've loads of cash! *air fist* Also, I'm really sorry I wasn't able to on just now. >.< My house internet totally crashed. And I meant TOTALLY. Both the wifi and the cable wasn't working for the modem. We just got a new one an hour ago, and it's just been fixed. I SERIOUSLY APOLOGISE, DEAR FRIEND. Also, I got good news. We've secured our layout. 8D XxHarmonicaxX is drawing free layouts for us, but since she's quite busy it will probably be done by the beginning of August. So we're done ordering the room layout. ;D I reckon room intro will be done by Monday. The poem... is... I really don't know how I'm doing. .__. I might let you spoof read and edit it, Dusky. I'm not much good with them.
Okay. Thank goodness you'll be able to turn up then. Finding a replacement for you would be difficult. But if, IF, anything turns up, please contact me or Dusky ASAP kay? Last year... was almost a disaster. Broken, the room host, worked herself to exhaustion and dehydration at the last week of the Ball, and until after. It was quite terrifying. D8 So please don't take it as a joke and leave it all at the last minute. The Ball can turn into a outright disaster if we're not careful. That's why this year the both of us are so strict about things. SO DON'T GO FAINTING OR STARVING OR DEHYDRATING IF YOU CAN HELP IT, OKAY?! OAO That would SERIOUSLY give me a heart attack.

i'll be out of my house by october, so i most likely won't be out until mid september at the earliest, and the ball is mid august, correct? i should still have internet at the time, but don't worry i'll message you or dusky if it turns out my internet will get cut earlier then that ball.

No prob shu =) I was doing things anyway. I'd be more than happy to edit the poem, and I'm working on mine right now. If Sunday works for you, we could mean up then. Otherwise the next time I'll be able to get on is next weekend, and then after that I'll be gone again >.< *sigh* Well, I'll try to catch you tonight anyway.
Yes, please no dehydrating! Or starvation, or anything! What we do want is for all of you to get your contests in order. Shu is going to do the intro and I'm going to do the codes for the wall in the yeti cave and we each have to write poems for the plot and do 2 contests together. So if we have time to do all of that, all of you have time to do just your contest. Hop to it!

Well cakes, you could always do this...or stop listening to the song...or keep listening. Whatever floats your boat. Yeah shu, I meant my Sunday. >.< Sorry for the confusion. I'll try to make it but I might end up falling asleep -.- I've been really tired lately. And busy, so I haven't done the poem :/ I honestly have been super busy the past few days since we last talked >.< Oh, and I've had this song stuck in my head alllllll day XD I'ma be listening to Green Day a lot tomorrow when I'm stuck in the car with my family for a few hours -.- (According to Google maps it should be about 4 hours. *cries*) ATTENTION EVERYONEShu and I are honestly getting a little tired of basically forcing you guys to do your part of the work. Shu and I are working pretty hard to make sure it'll run as smoothly as possible and create a fun time for all of the gaians, but we also need all of your help. I know not all of you have helped with the ball before, but it is a huge deal to most of the people who have helped with a room. You guys need to know that you can't slack off just because you don't feel like putting the time and effort into doing your part. And yes, I'm talking about your contests. We don't feel like your really trying to get this done when we've asked you time and time again. It shouldn't take this much work to get you guys to do your part. Each of these contests ARE your responsibilities, and they're important ones. Do they actually take a lot of work? No, not really. If you just sit down and DO it and create a test thread and make sure it'll run smoothly, it honestly does NOT take that long. There's absolutely no excuse for none of your contests to be done by now. So please, just get them done. We need you guys to help us with this, that's why we're a team. Now, I'm gonna be gone on a family vacation for the next week. Hopefully by the time I get back, some of you will have your contests done and ready to be looked over by Shu or I.

Room Introduction
You open your eyes slowly, blinking to adjust to the sudden intrusion of light piercing your pupils. After a few moments regaining your orientation, you find yourself sitting on soft red carpet blanketing what looks like a long hallway. You quickly stumble to your feet. The lighting is dim and you can barely see anything, but even with the bone-chilling and disturbing atmosphere, you summon the courage and start walking down the hallway, but in the darkness you trip and crash to the floor. You dust yourself off and look to find what tripped you, and found a small golden plaque written in large, curvy letters of ‘Haus D’Amour.’
Surprised, you look around to see where it came from when the plaque starts to glow. In harmonic resonance, a large golden door surfaced from the brick walls of the tower. You forget about the light down the hallway and curiously reach out to grab the handle. You turned it slowly, hesistantly, and wrenched it open. The first thing that strikes you is a stabbing cold winter wind and wet snow crunching beneath you. You look up to see a beautiful snow covered garden with a tall, oak-coloured mansion decorating its view. When you reach the door of the mansion, you are greeted by a tall, middle-aged man with neatly combed black hair. “Welcome to Haus D’Amour. My name is James, and this is room of the sin and virtue of Envy and Love,” he greets warmly. ‘Welcome to the room of Envy and Love of the 9th Gaia User-Run Annual Ball. I do hope you enjoy your time here!’

For our contest introductions do we put an actual room from the house plan or do we just say a room in general?
