((wow, WAY to fail there, Morton)) Quote: Roll 1- If you roll a 11-100, you pass and can go on to round two. (RP meeting the below obstacle) Upon entering the maze you meet a tiny little imp, seemingly injured and whining at you for help. The imp is green in color and maybe only 2 feet tall. It is thin and looks as if they have a splinter in their foot. (If you roll a 11-100 you can do whatever you like, help or not, and you still pass. If you roll a 1-10... well helping it or not it will turn on you and chase you out of the maze.) Entering the maze, the gargoyle took a look around, his gaze falling upon a little imp which seemed to be injured. He hesitated only a moment before drawing nearer; apparently, though, it had all been a trick (either that or the little creature was too far gone with pain that he did not realize Morton was only trying to help). No sooner had the gargoyle extended a hand to help, the imp jumped and began clawing at his face. Morton rushed out of the maze, bellowing something akin to 'ow' and 'Get it off!' to all that bothered to listen.

Today, Astra seemed a little more sympathetic to the imps plight, moving over to the creature so she could remove the thorn in it's toe. For once, the Imp did not attempt to attack, merely giving her it's thanks and walking off.
Perhaps this had been a different imp?

Once reaching the Stone bolder, Astra recited another old tale she had heard ages ago, and then flew on her merry way to the next section of the maze

"ooooooo...."
Astra wasn't sure what the object was, but what she did know was that it was shiny. And awesome, and very distracting/ So very distracting that she had completely forgot about the huge white and red beast until it had snuck up behind her.
The shiny object was interesting enough to distract her from the monsters hungry roar, and she made a hasty retreat.

Malodore padded back into the maze with a sigh. Some variety would have been nice - though, apparently, the fact that the boulder had given it sass was proof that it wasn't entirely perfect in managing magical beasties. But it seemed to have some kind of cordial... acquaintance... with the imp.
The imp raised its foot expectantly as Malodore approached, an unnaturally wide grin on its face. "Waily?"
The plague doctor resisted rolling its eyes as it flicked the splinter free. "I believe you already performed that act for me."
"Do I need new material?" the imp asked, sounding slightly anxious. Malodore didn't dignify that with a response, instead just getting up and padding away. For once, the imp didn't call its now-trademark farewell.
Hmm.

The boulder was slumbering peacefully, it seemed; Malodore noted that the bushes that had served as impromptu earplugs last time were still there. However.. one of them seemed a bit askew...
The plague doctor crept up to the partially exposed ear and began to whisper. "The unicorn princess had the most beautiful sparkling pink hair anyone had ever-"
Anything else it said was lost, as the boulder woke with a shriek of horror and rolled away in a cloud of dust.
Hah.

Malodore padded quietly onward, being more careful now. The white beast had chased it out of the maze more times than it cared to count... and yet, as it moved carefully down the winding pathways, it seemed the creature was not in evidence.
Perhaps it, too, was sleeping?

However, the ghost horse was awake. And ready. And angry.
Malodore swore and turned tail. So close! And yet so far!

Malodore padded up to the imp, who was reclining in a bed of leaves, splintered foot kicked up indolently. "Lazy today?"
"Hey, if you're not gonna put in all the effort, why should I? Gotta save it for the rubes," the imp yawned, as Malodore flicked the splinter out of its foot. "All this waily-waily schtick gets old after a while, yanno?"
"... Si. I know," Malodore said dryly.
