Carissa's ears perked up after Kain was done talking she heard the door opening from where the men exited and jumped up as they walked towards the cages. She saw a man with the dart gun and another with a leash. She backed up as he approached her cage. She couldn't go that far seeing it was a cage and quickly the man clipped the leash to the muzzle and pulled towards the room outside of the cage. Whimpering and pulling back Carissa glanced at Kain.

 Kain was still to tired to move at all, but he did let out a sad whimper. "Carissa... Leave her alone!" He whines. He knew they couldn't understand him, but he tried anyway. "Please don't hurt her, bring her back!"

Carissa was pulled out of the cage and they continued pulling her towards a room that was darker and she looked back whimpering as she saw Kain still in his cage. The man looked at her then Kain and smiled as water appeared in front of Kain. "I know you're not normal wolves I swear I'll prove it."

Kain was horribly thirsty, but the water could wait. "Carissa, are you alright, what are they doing to you?!" He whimpers towards the door.

Carissa saw him open the door and called back to Kain" He knows!" then she felt him pull her into the room. She understood this guy was crazy from how the room looked but when she realized he was going to try to get her to change back to human she tried to get away. His smiled scared her as the door closed his words sunk in he was going to give her the option to change or get tortured. When he gave up and opens the door Carissa walked slowly with her tail between her legs back to the cage. She curled up in the corner by Kains cage and knew there was water in her cage but she never looked up instead she closed her eyes ignoring all of her pain.

Kain continues to whimper out towards her, but he couldn't here her from within the room. He soon went to drinking the water and then laid down whimpering sadly. He hoped that she was alright. When she finally was brought back in he climbs to his feet whimpering. "Carissa, are you alright? What did they do to you?!" He could tell that something was wrong.

Carissa just opened her eyes hearing Kains voice and whimpered lightly trying to get up. The man walked in and smiled "Ok boy you can go by her but one wrong move and she pays for it." with that the cage door opens on both cages and he waits for Kain to go in Carissa's cage. While this happened Carissa was still trying to get up slowlywhimpering each time then she yelped out as she hit the floor in pain. She couldn't do anything her body hit so much.

Kain jumped out of his cage and started sniffing around the room a little and then at the mans boot, trying to act as natural as he could before jumping into the cage with her and licking at her nose and lets out another whimper. "What have they done to you?" he asks softly as he curls up beside her and continues to lick at her face worriedly.

Carissa watched the cage close behind Kain but looked at him before moving her head to the side revealing a shock collar. She whimpered and snuggled into him as well as she could ignoring pain. She looked at the water again then back at Kain and remebered he took her muzzle off and remembering how she used her mouth the get Kains muzzle off snuggling back into his fur.

Kain whimpers softly as he sees the collar. He was very grateful when she pulls his muzzle off. He opens his mouth wide a few times trying to stretch it out and then snuggles close to her. "Don't worry, I'll protect you. Now that we're together there is no way they can separate us again."

Carissa heard his words and nodded her head. She slowly started to fall asleep even though she didn't want to. Within a few minutes she was asleep. The man stood back sways watching them in the cage and smiled at Kain. "You know what I am right? Why I hate your kind?" he smiled wide revealing his fangs before walking out.

"They're vampires?" he whimpers softly as he continues to snuggle her. "But why would they hate us? We've never done anything to hurt them..."

Carissa woke up about twenty minutes later and jumped up. Quietly she whimpered and looked at Kain. "where, where is he?" she was on high alert fearing they would get separated again. She looked around the room just as lights went out. Quickly she laid by Kain and nudged him with her nose.

Kain jumps up when she did looking around. He was afraid she had noticed something threatening. He relaxes a little and snuggles up close to her again. "It's ok, he left. He says he hates us because he is a vampire? Why would they hate us, I've never done anything wrong to a vampire."

Carissa thought about it. "Maybe it's not because of us exactly. I mean he told me he wanted to my human form. Maybe he had problems before with a pack an now he just hates us all. " she snuggled into him again and tried relaxing
