"I would love to say I'd take you home and have you meet my parents, but that's almost impossible. I was made to believe that my mother died, but I've had my doubts for a long time. As for my dad... You don't want to meet him and he would never want to meet you." Mao kept quiet and thought for a moment. "Well, my grandmother might still... She has a nice place that we'd almost have to ourselves. The only thing she goes home to do is sleep or relax a little. Most of the time she's told me she's out tending to the vast gardens. She's a real nature freak like that."

Nathan smiled. "I'd be glad to meet her, if you want to introduce us - we can even offer to help with the gardens... could be relaxing." He murmured, hugging Mao tightly. It hadn't been what he meant, but still...

"She's also into something that you may like. She's had this obsession with... Well, you'll find out when you meet her." Mao thought about it for a moment and it sort of scared him. He didn't want to tell Nathan that the person he'd be meeting was actually obsessed with the idea of Mao actually having a lover. She'd been wanted to bind him to someone for some time now. She had even told Mao once that he'd be perfect for "Some luck man's harem." Mao then sighed. "I promise you'll have your way with me then. After all, I know you're quite tempted. Or am I mistaken?"

Nathan blinked at him, cofusion spreading over his face at the Demon's phrasing. "I have no intention of ever forcing myself on you, nor is my mind always in the gutter - you're extremely attractive, so it's not that I haven't thought of it at all, but I don't expect to order you to have sex with me."
He paused, expression changing swiftly between an extremely dark look and a tender one. He settled somewhere between and pulled back to stare into his boyfriend's eyes.
"Please tell me you don't think all I see when I look at a person is a sexual object, because I won't be able to stay around you if that is all you think of me..." he whispered, honesty, a hard edge and slight pleading all mixed into his voice.

Mao forced a smile. He should have known Nathan wouldn't understand what he was referring to since he himself wasn't a demon. "You've actually got it all wrong," he began. "In the eyes of demons, a relationship is also a sort of battle for dominance. If there is no control then it is believed that the relationship will not last. One is the master and the other is the slave. That's how it works for us. That doesn't however mean that you're expected to force yourself on me or beat me...Unless you really want to."

Nathan paused, trying to take it in. "So... what you're saying... is that you think I'll be the master? Or do you want to be the master? I dont want to force or beat you, Mao." He smiled softly.
"Perhaps tease you until you beg me, but then I'd expect you to do it too..." he whispered stroking the Demon's face.

"I'm not the dominant type even though everyone seems to think otherwise. Either way it's all really just a formality. Like how the guy is expected to be the one protecting and providing for a woman in that sort of relationship. Between the two of us it really doesn't matter. I already told you I'd do anything you'd ask of me usually without question."

Mao shrugged. "Like I said, it's just a formality. No one's really going to care how we behave in private. Just in public and only if you're in the world of demons. Everywhere else... No one's really watching."

Nathan beamed. "So we can hug, hold hands and kiss in public? Well, on the fringes of the public if you're not comfortable with it... and when you're at work, I'll hug you but you can be my Mr. Grumpy if you'd prefer..." he winked.

"I honestly think I wouldn't mind much of anything. You an kiss me in public all you want and if anyone doesn't like it than they can just leave." Mao sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. "I appreciate how your parents treat me... Or rather have treated me so far, but I can't help but wonder how they would react if they knew what I really was. Usually people would be scared when they saw the wings and everything."

Nathan sighed as he hugged Mao close. "I don't know how they would react. They've only really seen my wings a couple of times, mostly when I was younger. I won't lie and tell you I know they'll be completely fine with it, but mum's a lot less fragile than dad..."
He pulled his head back to gaze into Mao's eyes. "She might experience shock, but give her a chance and she'll turn on me with something like 'opposites really attract, huh?' - in a teasing way." He added hastily, nuzzling his boyfriend's neck.

Mao nodded in understanding. "Then I guess it's better to leave things as they are. I was only wondering in case something were to happen where I'm fall ill, or get seriously injured like I did when we first met. I guess I'll have to be extremely careful from now on."

Nathan nodded. "But seriously, if you were injured then only dad would really notice what you looked like. Mum would register that I burst in yelling, 'Mao's hurt!', then go into 'fix it' mode, where all she sees is the problem and the bandages she's trying to wrap around it..."
