oh the school strike? They've oulled that one more than once down here. There was a huge one in Halifax while I lived there, went on for a year or possibly more. Those poor students were SO screwed.

Yeah, we'll just hae to wait and see. Though so long as it didn't take too long I wouldn't mind a break. All in all my christmas vacation was 13 days T.T so sad.

Yeah, I've heard of this, I forgot who the kids was some child of an actor but Jackie Chan plays Mr. Miagi...I personally prefer the original. and some of these new movies based off of old cartoon scare me because they do not always do a good job

Actually it could be okay!
The kid is going to be Will Smiths son Jaden. He's a good little actor. And with ACTUAL martial arts from Jackie Chan...it has possibilities.
Though if it's a REMAKE that changes things. I just thought it would be a new movie with the same overall premise, but ..different characters.

Yeah, but the movies they're doing based off old cartoons some are good, others are bad. Like Speed Racer, bleh, and countless others that I don't like. But some have been good like Transformers.
I've heard there doing Thundercats, and I'm iffy on that one. But I shure as hell hope they do a good job on the remake of Robotech

I heard Robotech is a no go.
But the thing about the new karate kid movie is this. Is jackie going to be teaching ka-ra-te, or kung fu? cuz the original karate kid, mr. miagi was japanese, so what are they going to make jackie chan?

Though I liked Speed Racer...I own it.
Thundercats could possibly go the way of Thunderbirds..>.>...I was so excited when that came out and then they kid-i-fied it to the point of lame-o-sity. rolleyes
