Well I've gotten over that mostly but I was worried because it was a new avatar. Dx Never drawn before. ...Does drawing count if you do it in paint? My pixel art is apparently better than pencil and paper art. xD

Yeah, I'd say it counts. It's alright. I feel the same when I draw anything tech-y or machinelike. Just...don't get much practice at it.

Hoorah for being 1337x better with a mouse than you are with a pencil! scream Forget the tablet! PIXEL ART FTW

Better than /some/ pencil-and-paper art. The perceived quality of a piece is still different for each person.

Some people like certain styles of art more than others, whether it's technically better or worse than another piece in another style. Like me and abstract art. Even the most well-done pieces wouldn't catch more than a glance from me, but I would find myself enjoying a moderately okay cityscape or portrait for quite a few minutes.

xXx You're just jealous that the voices only talk to me~♫ I'm not much of an artist. I just scrawl during class. xXx

Same xD I've noticed though, that when I'm bored and just doodling, it usually comes out better than things I planned on drawing. To me, anyways. @-@

D8 I've had random moments of that too. on the sides of notes, all over the place. It's infuriating. And then when I get an art block it annoys me even more.

Used to happen to me, then I started caring about school and told myself to stop drawing in class. Guess that's why my skills have gone downhill.. =/

Well, I studied art those last three years so don't blame me ;] AND I got high grades, but I still feel like I was totally lazy since I almost never actually looked at the teacher xD Gee, trying new art skillz and I have no patience. I don't think I've finished anything ever actually. And I didn't finish the group pic since I never drew Confresi. I guess I will sometime so that you get to see the epic team xD

Looking at tutorials on DA, it seems this is a popular method of doing line art on PS: http://begger4mcgregor.deviantart.com/art/Amanda-s-Line-Art-Tutorial-36601490. How does everyone else do digital line art?

I wish I could use that method, BUT my photoshop hasn't got that tool xD lol I know it's fail and I should get a real good photoshop, like THE NEWEST EVAR! Well, obviously that method made the picture very much kickass. I think it will be my method of choice later on, but right now I have to stick to freehand xD I guess it's good to be able to do that as well ^^
