((I'm here.)) Orex spotted Virgil and Lithil in the distance. He flew down to greet them, keeping pace with the vehicle quite easily. "Need a lift?" He grinned and drifted back and forth over the Jeep with his tail flapping in the wind. I could get used to this. Now that I know how to use it, I might be able to use it to everyone's advantage.

Pandora stiffened. "Stay out of my thoughts, alright?" She said a bit too harshly. "The mind is supposed to be the one thing that no one can intrude upon, but apparently that has changed. It is so diverse that sometimes the random thought should never be heard, and it should stay that way." Pandora said in defense. "If someone invites you, then that's alright, but...any other time is invasion of privacy. Just like if you were a peeping Tom. In my opinion, it is just wrong." She finished, staring off into the fire.
((How is that ranting and raving for ya? Change up the sappyness a bit...lol))

"Right, im sorry, i dont have complete control over it. i read minds even when i dont want to. not necesarily reading them, more like i hear them. but i cant make it stop. i dont ever really get anytime for myself these days." He sighed.

"The big university 'round here?" Lithil clarified, staring at her reflection in the dusty rear-view mirror, raising her eyebrows so her brow wrinkled. Rubbing at a particularly tough stain that dabbed her skin with rusty brown, she continued: "My brother... he went there. Well, oldest brother. I had four-" Her 'revealing' speech was caught short by Orex's arrival; she craned her neck to look up through the skylight at the soaring iguana, smiling slightly. "Y'think you could manage it?" She called over the roar of movement, pupils widening to push back her icy blue in the diminishing light.

He laughed and shook his head. "This would be no problem, that is, if the driver doesn't mind auto-pilot. I'll get you there faster with little wear on the tires. The only thing that might happen is a few clawmarks on the frame, but that will give it a little character and it's easily fixable. " He drifted over and nosed the driver. "How 'bout it?"

"Then ignore what you hear. I wouldn't have known that you heard me at that moment, but you had to go and make a comment about it. That just calls attention to it." Pandora ammended as she crossed her arms.

The flying Orex swooped in the middle of Lithil's explanation, and offered a lift. Virgil looked forward on the road, and smiled. "Thanks, but no thanks," He said, then explained why, pointing ahead while slowing the jeep down, "This is our stop."
The jeep, and presumably Orex, pulled up to the familiar sight of Virgil's diner. Bring the jeep to a halt in front of the diners door, and killing the jeep's engine, Virgil gauged the sun's position in the sky. Thinking they had about an hour and a half left of sunlight, Virgil started to give orders again.
"Lithil, if you wouldn't mind, could you get started on getting some of the stuff inside? I'll get it tied into the back when you get it out. Start with the first aid kits, and probably the other supplies you think are useful. Let's leave the food and water until last so the food doesn't attract anything unwanted." He then turned to Orex, and gave him instructions. And they were considerably simpler: "Orex, could you go to everyone, and tell them we'll meet them at the mall at about ten-thirty? If anyone still has watches working."

Lithil didn't recognise the stop as they pulled into it; in the ephemeral dusky glow of a tainted city at twilight, the faded and fizzing neon sign sputtered brighter than it did when she enountered it first in 'normal' form. As she slid from the leather seat onto the ground, she calmly considered Virgil's orders and nodded. Normally she'd ask who died and made him king but really, these weren't times that called for that. Besides, he probably knew this place far better than she did. Ducking into the boarded-up shelter, she began diligently searching the cupboards, coming up with medi-pacs and bandages. These she took outside, along with a fishing set. "For sewing up- if we run out of needles." She simply said by explanation. She returned into the depths.

When they had stopped, Orex had perched on a lightpole. After receiving messenger's orders from Virgil, he nodded and took off toward the mall. In a few minutes, he landed near the fire Pandora had been sitting close to. "Virgil and Lithil will be here at about ten thirty. They're out gathering some items right now, which actually doesn't sound like a bad idea." He shifted back to his human form and felt his arms. "If you'll excuse me, I'm going to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to get some lotion." With that, he paced through the corridors until he found the store he wanted to get into and got lotion, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hair gel. He remembered seeing a working fountain on the way in.

After watching Orex fly away, he just missed Lithil disappearing into his 'abode' to follow his orders. Something in Virgil's mind wanted to say that him giving orders was just him taking control of the situation faster than other people. but he decided to hold it in. After all, responding to un-spoken sarcasm could be considered uncalled for, not to mention spooky.
Lithil reappeared shortly afterward, with his first aid kit, as well as his fishing kit, explaining quickly in her short and sweet manner, "if we run out of needles."
"Good thinking, there. Virgil complemented as he loaded it into the glove compartment of the Jeep, where he was surprised to find nothing else in there. Then waited for Lithil to reappear with something else.

Pandora nodded at Orex when he gave them the news. Once he left, she turned to Kaz. "That's alright, you're forgiven." She said, then turned back around.

"Thanks." Lithil returned to the medic cupboards, bringing back the rest of its contents in one go. There were some uses in having mutable features. Further excavation of the diner's smokey depths brought forth small caches of gun ammo, which Lithil then claimed. Still, she wasn't entirely sure which ones were needed as on the subject of guns she was more-or-less totally unknowing, so she took them all out and arrayed them on the ground in front of Virgil. "Which ones do we need?"

After grabbing some more medical stuff, Lithil returned shortly with his caches of ammo. When she asked him which one's were needed. Thinking to himself, he wondered aloud, "I know I need the magnum bullets myself. Uhh...We'll take the others anyways. May as well be prepared." and he scooped it all up, and placed it inside the jeep. He wondered what else would be useful.
"Could you see if I have any spare bludgeons? Crowbars would be preferable, but at this point, anything will do."
