The young Cleaner just smiled at Smitty. "Don't go worrying you pretty little head off. I don't intend to stay after I've taken out my target. I've got my own family to return to after that." With that he walked out, closing the door behind him.

The Don smiled. "That's alright. I remember those guys. Tell them Razolli says hi!" he said as he walked out.
"You know those guys?!?" Smitty asked.
"I just remembered I played football with some of the Valentine family back when I lived in Brooklyn." the Don said with a smile. "I doubt they remember that though. It was in High School."
It was sometime later that Smitty sneaked out, he took only four things. A rope, a bottle of chloroform, a rag and a large pistol. He slipped out the door, leaving Bozo and the Don behind as he slipped out for Gotham.

ENTER Edel from AUDRA AILITH
Meanwhile, X sat on his throne in one of his other personal realms. He sat there and stared down at a watery hole in the floor before him. Reflecting in the pool of water, was an image of Earth. There, he could easily view the world he had created and all that was happening on it. Well....when he wasn't distracted anyway. Which...he had a feeling he was about to be.
"My...don't you look busy." Edel said with a grin as she walked out from behind one of the large columns of the room.
"What do you want, human?" X sighed without so much as casting a glance her way.
Edel frowned a little at his lack of manners. "I was hoping to convince you to help us. With multiple tasks...that I'm sure you're already aware of." she replied, motioning towards the "well" he was staring into.
"And why would I help? I thought your kind would be rather appreciative of my severe lack of activity lately." X replied as he boredly glanced over at her.
"As far as not destroying the planet and everything on it? Yes. I believe the vast majority would be extremely happy with your inactivity." Edel replied with a smile. Then, the smile faded into a frown and she continued. "But concerning your lack of help...considering all the beings that are now capable of really causing problems for you..." Then her frown turned into and outright scowl. "Not to mention the fact that you practically let your wife stare death in the face for the second time in a row."
"You say that like it concerns me." he replied as he turned his full attention towards her. "Alcina left me. I no longer have a need to try and protect her."
Edel's eyes narrowed. "What happened to your sense of honor? From what I've heard...you used to be quite the noble one." she said quietly.
"That was universes ago..." he sighed, turning his attention back towards the well.
Edel was quiet for a moment, staring at him. "There really is no point in trying to talk to you...is there?" she asked slowly.
"You'd have better luck speaking someone who cares, yes." he replied, leaning his head on his arm.
Edel's expression darkened. "I thought as much..." she said as she pulled a few crystals out of her pocket. "English only translates to so much in your native language. Luckily I have something that will allow us to talk rather openly, and still be able to understand each other. Very well."
Slowly, the crystals floated above her hand and dangled there in the air. A high pitched sound gently rang through the air. Reminiscent of chimes. This wasn't X's real language of course...but this was what it sounded like as far as humans were capable of hearing.
X looked back at her, his attention finally one hundred percent on her. The sound continued...and the only real change were the expressions the two beings gave each other once in a while. X seemed to grow....angry. And Edel....well, she just seemed thoroughly disgusted with the man.
Finally, X had enough of the little chat and sent the crystals flying across the room with a small burst of energy. "Enough." he growled. "I will do as I please. If you really want my help, you'll have a better chance of begging the next time you see me. Now leave."
Edel stared up at him silently for a long moment. Her anger very clear in her eyes. "As you wish...." she said quietly.
The next second, she was just....gone. Only to reappear directly in front of Xiao with her arms outreached to her side. Her hand came swiftly across his face with enough force that his head snapped to the side. Blood began to slide down his cheek from a few scratches left from her hand. X's eyes widened, and then he was on his feet...his stone throne bouncing across the floor behind him after a furious burst of energy. Fortunately, Edel had already made her exit, saving her from a raging amount of energy that hummed from X's form. He stared furiously at here Edel had once stood, his teeth bared as the cuts along his face vanished on their own.
That....would not be left unpunished.

The witch had gotten him riled up after her visit hours ago. X had been ready to make another trip to earth and teach the woman a lesson. A very...very...harsh lesson.
But...fortunately for her, another guest paid him a visit. And after smoothing down his ruffled feathers, made him forget all about the witch's rudeness.
X calmly moved back to his throne, straightening out the sleeves of his outfit. He paused once he reached his seat, and stared at it with a small smirk on his face. "And how did you get here so fast?" he purred.
Cantata sat on his throne with her long bare legs hanging out over the armrest, wrapped up in one of his robes. She grinned widely up at him and carefully adjusted the cleavage the robe was displaying. "It's not that far to teleport from your room." she replied in an equal purr.
X smirked and moved to sit down beside her. As she moved to give him room, she leaned up and stole another kiss from him. "Are you certain you want me to leave? I mean, there hasn't been any sighting of that Spectre since he destroyed your other home."
"Mh. I'm certain. If Zira didn't take care of him, then he will still be intent on taking care of me. Should I survive, I would like to have at least someone to come back to." he replied, wrapping his arm around her.
She smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder. "Very well. If you're certain."
"If I need you, I'll call for you. Otherwise, you may be more of a hindrance."
Cantata gave him a lopsided smirk, then carefully rolled over onto his lap. "Alright then...I'll stay out of your hair. I should probably go anyway. My little decoy won't keep Terr fooled for long." she said, pulling him close.
"I'll look forward to seeing you again..." he whispered.
"That makes two of us." she purred, pulling him in for possibly one last kiss. When it felt like the right moment, she faded out of existence just as she pulled out of the kiss, and left him be.

Victor walked into the main part of the appartment from the kitchen. He smiled widely at her as he sat his glass down on a nearby table. "That's great, hon. Sorry I couldn't go wit' ya. How much did you get?"

Skuld was still in costume, but was busy fixing some pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Slightly turning her gaze toward her lover, Sydney answered, "About one fifth of the market value -- close to five hundred thousand. A fair amount of green, Love."

Vic smiled and nodded his head. "Not bad. Not bad at all." he said as he walked up closer to her. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and kissed her cheek. "Calls for a little celebration, don't you think?"

Skuld took a moment to return the kiss that Sabertooth gave her. Then, she turned to assemble two plates of food, while deliberately rubbing her rump up against Victor.

"Ouch...," Skuld yelped slightly fromn Victor's pinch. But instead of getting out of the way, the goth sorceress simply laid her forearms on the countertop then looked back over her shoulder at Sabertooth batting her green eyes. While still wiggling her rump at him, Skuld taunted, "And what are your intentions, Sir? Going to have desert before breakfast? It could get cold....."

Skuld slowly turned around folding her arms behind back. Taking a couple of seductive steps toward Victor, the redhead sorceress comments, "At this rate, I'd say we're getting worse than newlyweds." Once she had closed the distance, the goth sorceress wrapped her pale arms around the back of Sabertooth's neck, Skuld's jasmine perfume wafting up at him, "So, are you going to start ravishing me or not?"

Victor gave her an almost carnivorous little grin. He quickly bent down, and grabbed onto the back of her upper legs, picking her up and sitting her on the counter beside him. "Well...I am feeling rather famished..." he purred.
Meanwhile, in the living room, a lanky black cat sat curled up on the top of the couch. CC blinked, then looked over at the kitchen area and frowned. He yawned and glanced up at the clock, then glanced back at the kitchen. With a little grunt, he hopped off the top of the couch and moved towards one of the pillows lying on the corner of it. "You might want to come back in a half an hour or so..." he muttered, glancing at the non-existent audience of this particular story arc. "This could take them a while. Again." he said as he shoved his head between the pillow and the couch. Trying to muffle the sounds that were about to come out of the other room. It was Sabretooth after all....
