I feel so fat...had turkey and stuffing for dinner @__@
The only reason I hated my freshman year, though, was because people in my class just didn't like me. I never really had many friends. Until I moved here to Michigan. 3nodding So I don't think that'll be an issue for you

animelover13 I swear, I am sooooo scared to start high school. God, being a freshman.....*shudders* No, you don't have to be afraid at all. It's only high school anyway, it's no where near as big or shocking as college, in my opinion. For me, freshman year was one of my best years in school. In fact, I like high school much more than middle school. Besides, to me, high school was not that much different from middle school, except that it's better than middle school. Practically everyone from my class came to that high school, so I knew everybody almost in my class. As for upper classmen, well...I knew no one, except my older sister's (who graduated) senior friends.
I guess I liked my freshman year because of the very nice and interesting teachers that I met, plus the very interesting subjects that I took. It all really depends on what kind of environment you're put in, and your way of thinking about the situation. I understand annoying and stupid people that want to bother others exist (I obviously had to face them), they always exist, but by the time I got to high school, I thought to myself, "Screw everyone else, I'm enjoying high school. Anyone that doesn't like that could go bang his/her head on the wall, and get a life." The reason I'm being so blunt about this is because these people used to bother me so much when I first came to America (I was in 6th grade then), since I was foreigner and I didn't speak English all that well. Back then, I let them get the better of me, but now, I'm not letting them. I don't like school in general, but I like certain things, and to me, these certain things are all that matters, anything else to me is not even worth thinking about.
Trust me, in the grand scheme of things, high school shouldn't be all that scary or shocking. I know providing my experience wasn't very helpful to you sweatdrop , but all I could tell you is that you are the one who makes the experience scary or not. Is it scary in reality? I would hardly think so. Just go into high school, and enjoy what you can. You only have four years before college, a very serious step.
And just like Askhans said, as long as you're not immature, or do idiotic things, (or too scared, for that matter) you should be fine. 3nodding

animelover13 I swear, I am sooooo scared to start high school. God, being a freshman.....*shudders* Grin, nod, and pretend that you've belonged there your whole life. I was shaking on my first day as a freshman, but that might have had something to do with people bumping into me while trying to get our schedules... By lunch time, it won't even make a difference if you're a freshman or a senior. But don't tell people you're a freshman. Wait a while, then when they're all planning to go to some class thing (i.e. some junior dance) just say, "I can't, I'm not a junior." It's very funny to see their faces. blaugh

Don't pay attention to people. Unless, you know, you know them or work with them. But passing between classes, just focus on getting to the class. And shout to someone you know if you see them.

Askhans says no to the shouting. Then you just seem like an underclassmen. Yell hi or something...but not at some great distance...not screaming people's names.
