It rained all weekend. I slept pretty much all weekend. Makes time fly. I watched a Paula Dean cooking show. She's the one who puts butter and cream and sugar in everything. Thought I should mention her because of the name of the topic. Paula makes really yummy looking cookies. Just sayin.

Yup, Ive seen a little of her cooking shows on ocassion. They do have some great food. And of course the stuff would kill a person if they ate it all the time with all the sugar and butter and stuff.
But at least the person would died happy death with great food. ^8^

Me too. I look for substitutes now. Soy "butter" tastes just as good to me as regular butter. Stevia is a nice tea sweetener instead of sugar.. And I'm so glad I eat veggie burgers instead of beef burgers. Here goes another recall of millions of pounds of hamburger with e coli. Between tht and mad cow, how do people keep eating it?

Not sure, prob. they think if its not real beef they wont like it as well. Not sure??
It interests me that just recently noticed my parents love so many things that have additives and bad things in them. My dad is a old meat eater, he loves all meats and cooking/grilling them. LOL

Your father is very normal in his food preferences. I'm sure companies put those additives because people like the food that way. I'm trying t9o live to 100 so I try to be careful. My big downfall is sugar. I guesss it's ok to admit it in this thread.. cookies on dowels., I'd like a cookie on or off a dowel right now. lol

Yeah, I am trying to take better care of myself but I still every now and again I still have a few sweets and things I dont need.
The title "Cookie On Dowels" came from a cartoon. The one called Harvey Birdman where they re-dubbed it and re-animated it.
