I can see how that might happen. The whole lack of oxygen from being stuck in a room full of people for extended periods of time. I always fall asleep. So now I never go to church. Even if there is a God, I'd think he'd find it more respectful if I stayed home then fall asleep while people are trying to teach me about him.
