Rika Minami, dark, downright emo, quiet. In other words, she's feeling the same as any other day. She sighed as she thought this about herself, and pulled the curtains closed so that the room was dim once more. Her suitcase was open, and some clothes were neatly folded and put, more like thrown, into the drawers. Her own old dusty blanket replaced the one that was provided by the school, and she had put a single stuffed animal on top of the pillow. Her books were scattered on the floor, and her bag of toiletries sat on top of the dresser. She looked around the too-large room, barely glancing at the second bed that was to be reserved for her future roommate. She ran her fingers through her hair, taking in a deep breath. All around her, she could feel a new, stronger presence far more comforting and stronger than at home.
After she cleaned up her books and finished making the room more 'homey', she pulled on her favorite jacket with the bear-shaped hood over her grey tank top and changed out of her old shorts into a pear of dark pants, covered with zippers and a rip or two. She grabbed her new messenger bag, lighter after all its contents were replaced by the thinner school books, and walked out the door.

Sally ran out, heading to the cafe. She didn't look where she was going and tripped. She fell onto another girl, her mind clicking. Sally opened her mouth to sneer at the girl. Click. Softie Sally leaped up, bowing. "Sorry!"

Rika walked outside, rummaging in her bag for her beat-up, piece of crud cell phone. In the next instant, she was on the ground, and there was a slight pain in her abdomen. She looked up at a flustered girl, who was bowing.
"Sorry!"
Rika got up, dusting herself off before turning to the stranger. "It's okay, no blood, no foul..." she said in a muttering tone rather than a conversational one.
