"Sir Boudwin!" Arwen called out cheerfully as she and Lin ran up behind him. "Company for you!"

The tall figure turned around slowly to see who was approaching. He wasn't quite as tall as Aragost, but he was tall nonetheless. He had shaggy black hair, piercing brown eyes, and the dusky skin of a Southlander. His tunic and boots were white, his pants a shade of green so dark they were nearly black. He had a bow across his back, sword at his side.

His eyes lit on Lin, and he stared at her for a moment, taking in her appearance, before murmuring in a soft but deep voice, "An I be not mistook, thou heist Lin, of whom Elros speakest so highly ... it me lyst to see thee here tofore me. Welcome."

Lore was surprised, but then he recalled how the two visited, though Skye had permission to visit, and Kaito not so much actually.

"Ah yes... they have both been here before," he nodded, "It's good you have met them both already then."

And she had thought Sir Leith was difficult understand, the poor girl's eyes widen at the idea she would have a lot of trouble understanding what the man just said. Like she understood the gist of it, but word by word she had no clue what he just said.

"I'm sorry.... what... did you just... say?" Lin blinked up never feeling akward about asking anything before, but she never really had to ask someone what they just said.

Elnara nodded thoughtfully. "It does make things easier," she murmured softly.

She just wondered how she should get the others over here, then ... Shiro and Ura would be no trouble, she was certain, if they came together ... Silvrendir was never any trouble, he was so quiet, and he and Idhril would be fine, as would Serenity ... but the twins ...

Aliya giggled softly, then leaned back in her chair, drawing her legs up and hugging them to her chest comfortably.

"So how long ago was it for you, that you were last here?" she asked the two of them curiously. "I mean ... I'm twenty six, so it was at least twenty five years ago here."

Arwen giggled at Lin. "He says he's happy to meet you," she translated for the girl. "He always talks like this, you get used to it after a while."

The tall man looked down at Lin thoughtfully. "I forethink me my difficulty," he murmured, "yet I lieve that the aetheling is correct: Ages cannot render improvement to my comprehensibility. I beg thee take no exception to my speech."

Arwen giggled again. "He calls me aetheling," she confided to Lin in the same amused tone she had used when telling her that Leith called her Princess.

Lore tried to think about it, it had been quite a long while ago, probably back before December... but he couldn't quite place the date.

"I'm not sure.. several months for certain, not even a year yet."

And yet he talked better than most people, Lin would have to admit, though she couldn't quite place what made his speech so odd to her. Besides the fact she couldn't really understand.

"What's an aetheling?" she asked Sir Boudwin.

"Idhril was born the last time we were here," Elnara reminded Lore. "That was ... July ... something ... late July ... how many months ago was that? I'm not used to the Gaian calendar quite yet."

Summer, that much she knew.

Sir Boudwin cleared his throat and looked down at Arwen with the air of one who was completely innocent.

"Princess," he replied with a trace of a smile playing about the corners of his lips.

Arwen blinked up at him. "You, too?"

The tall man shrugged one shoulder. "Forgive me," he apologized, his eyes sparkling mischievously, "but I served Her Majesty Queen Alyse for more time than she reigned over the Southern Land, ere the war agin Melkor ended. Thou livest here with thy parents, yet syne thou be of the Aldrich line, heiress direct from Her Majesty Queen Alyse, thou art aetheling, whether thou wilt or nay, whether ether here show thee and thy parents obesience or nay."

"So... it was much longer ago than I expected, that's about nine months," Lore offered counting the months in his head, "Since it was late July, so perhaps a bit over nine months...."

Lin scratched the back of her head as she mulled over his words, and she had to wonder which language it was from, or it was just her not remembering one of her words. However, since Arwen didn't know it, she could safely assume it was at the very least not High Elvish.

For the most part.

"I didn't get the last part, but I got most of it," Lin murmured....

It was pretty obvious with mentions of Queen Alyse, Melkor (whom she still had to ask about one day), and Aldirch line, what he meant by that.

"And it makes sense.. I mean the Princess thing."

"So about three-quarters of a year," Elnara nodded at Aliya. "Perhaps five months. Not long. I haven't even lived in Gaia for two years yet, come to think of it, and according to Elrohir I'm supposed to be ... sixty two anyways."

She was pretty sure that Ahren and Arwen were her only nephew and niece that were younger than her now, though at the rate things were going it wouldn't be the case for long.

Aliya nodded thoughtfully. "Serenity did mention that you were her oldest," she murmured, "though you have to admit, it's not as if it's obvious that you're so much younger than everyone else. You don't look it - I'm not saying you look old, just that Elrohir and Haradhel look young."

She giggled. "Though I supposed that Haradhel is young," she amended. "Younger than Daeron anyways."

Arwen shrugged one thin shoulder. "Not really," she debated. "Princess, sure, but he was wrong about one thing - aetheling doesn't mean just princess, it also means ..."

She trailed off, biting her lip thoughtfully as she tried to think of the answer.

"Like ... like as if I'm supposed to be the next queen," she explained for lack of the proper word. "But I'm not, my cousin Tinuviel is, Papa says."

She grinned. "Someday when I'm big enough to travel I'm going to go down south and meet the rest of everybody! All my uncles and aunts and cousins and everyone!"

Sir Boudwin chuckled softly. "An thou go, it me beseemeth thou wilt have need of a companion ... if thou acquiescest, I will accompany thee. Far too many years have passes syne I have had opportunity to serve thy family in my proper capacity."
