Okay I don't know if this idea will count, but maybe we should have more options to genders of pets/farm animals/kid. There should be more than one kid too because on an actual farm there is more than one kid, there are tons of kids. So, I was thinking, you know how you gotta get married within a year, that should still happen. It gets people off their butts and starts communicating with the townspeople. that was a good idea. I think the harvest sprites should only give you the blue feather when you have someone who will accept your proposal. It should be yaoi friendly so if you are a boy farmer, you can actually marry a boy. The heart cutscenes like you had in Friends of mineral town, I love that! So, there should be heart levels. And for each level, you should get a gift from your chosen. It should be easier to get your mate though. Like when you start out, you should be able to like give your honey something you can easily forage. Say...you have someone like Rock. Okay, he is the chef's son...basically in harvest moon a wonderful life and another wonderful life, right? So, if you gave him say a mugwort, he should be like yay! Because it will help his mom and dad come up with new recipes. There should be more recipes. Ones you can make up on your own. Like for example, for humor, if you go to Carter's dig site and dig up an old coin and you don't want to sell it and you really want to see if it is actually poisonous? Well, what if you put that say with a mugwort and a toy flower, you can get medicine! yay! And you can name your own medicine! See what I mean? more options, more options! That's what the game needs.

Flashlight is okay,maybe for mining,but a laser? A WII?! Why would you need those? Soap is okay and nails are probably for building,but seriously,a Wii? This is a FARMER'S game...

Flashlights would actually be a pretty good idea. I don't know exactly what you'd use a laser beam for on a farm, so I'd kinda leave the idea. But, if it was a different game, one not based on farming, mostly, then it'd be an interesting idea.
Nails would be a good idea (though personally I'd want to just stick with the original stuff where you give it to the carpenters to make or something, lol.)
Soap would be okay too, but if used for people, I'd just want to have the fun little thing where you'd jump in the tub then just jump out a minute later. I wouldn't care if it took forever, lol. I've done it all the time, haha.
Having a Wii in the game would be interesting, but not something I'd exactly approve of totally. It just wouldn't go with the storyline very much. But still, very nice idea thinking of it.

Though I wouldn't agree with the yaoi friendly thing, considering this game is for people of all ages, so it wouldn't be that great of an idea. If it was rated T or something, then I'd probably approve.
Making it easier to get your mate would make the game easier, but, for some, it would take some of the fun out of it. But, still, good idea.
More recipes, definitely a great idea.
Making your own medicine, definitely interesting. Just don't make it too broad of availability on what you can mix together to make things. You wouldn't want to confuse the slow people (i.e. ME! Lol.)
And to what you said in the beginning, we already clarified those things about different genders for animals and kids and having multiple kids and such. Still, good idea.
