"Briseis!" Elli called with a radiant smile. "Come see me, sweet daughter."
Fixing keen eyes on Kanashimi, Elli smiled gently. "Welcome back, Kanashimi.. We missed you, and no apologies are necesssary..."
She turned her head to the roar, and flicked her tail gently. The Pride was returning...

Briseis looked up to Elli's call, she padded over to her...as she met her she rubed her cheek to her mother's purring as she always had as a child. She was happy...but for one reason in particular...she had been thinking about a boy. She smiled as she noted everyone was coming back it seemed.

Ellidanio smiled at her adopted daughter and nuzzled her, purring in return."You seem, overjoyed, sweet Briseis.."
Elli's eyes were sly. "Why so?"
Aritania came prancing up as her mother spoke, and nosed both mother and sister in greeting. "Ooooh... Briseis?"
Her eyes sparkled, she loved a good story.

Kanashimi heaved a sigh as her eyes searched the horaizon for the amethyst form of her mate, but saw nothing. She was now relaxing in the tall grasses, laying down to shade herself and perhaps rest slightly from her travels.

Ellidanio roared a hello to Kanashimi, wondering what had the other lioness so down... Then again, perhaps it was not so hard to guess... Turning her attention back to Briseis, she smiled and nuzzled her foster child. "Tell me..."
Aritania nodded and siddled against her mother. "Do tell Briseis..."

Kanashimi lifted her head to return the greeting, then thought better and lifted herself and moved back to the main area of the pride. However, there were conversations all around, and Kana moved around the edge of the flurry of excitement to the cave entraqnce of which she laid herself near and cloed her eyes, simply listening and hoping for that familiar sound.

My my, it had been far too long since Rackna had been home. The trip that was supposed to have been a short, sweet hunting trip, had extended to a length he hadn't been anticipating. He had never thought he'd be away for months, caught in all sorts of bad weather and bad company. Hmph. Looking about, golden eyes flickered softly, wondering with a sad twinge if there would still be anyone in the lands he called home...

Kana lifted her head as her king's scent reached her. "The King has returned home..." she said to the group, though doubted they had heard - they wer all excited over something.

Elli leapt to her paws and exclaimed happily over her adopted daughter's news, ready to pounce on her and bury her in a flurry of questions like Aritania was doing. Instead a strange, familiar scent danced on the wind. It wound over her flakes like a sinuous song, filled her nose and lifted her spirits.
She threw back her head, drew a deep breath, and roared. "RACKNA!"
Aritania pounced on Briseis and asked a flurry of questions. "What? Are you serious? When? Where? Who is he? Where is he? What's he like? Is he comming here? TELL ME!"
She bubbled them exuberantly, scarcely able to contain herself, then froze as her mother spoke. Daddy? "Daddy?!"
Maybe Briseis's answers could wait until her father was here...

The scarlet king's ears perked, straining to hear for any signs of his pride. All of a sudden, though, this mate's usually soft voice came tumbling over him, swelling his heart. So there was still someone here! Strong legs, which had grown slow from travel, moved like loaded springs, carrying the king swiftly toward the voice's origin. Golden eyes rested upon the still beautiful, lithe figure of his mate, then to his youngest daughter as she pounced on a similar looking lioness. Was that Briseis? When had she grown so tall and lovely? Then he looked over at Kana, yet another loyal lioness to him. What a wonderful thing it was, to come home and find loyalty in your beloved pride members.
"Sorry lovlies... Waiting long?" He joked, eyes glittering happily.

Briseis smiled as she nosed her little sister. "Later time," as she watched Rackna enter once again. "Father!" she exclaimed jumping to her paws she jumped him and tackled him like old times, except now she was bigger and more capable to knock him over. "Actually...yes."

Kalare giggled furiously as Grace talked about random things. Nothing of importance, justidle chatter to get through a long trek, as Kalare tended to get so BORED! She almost danced to the boarders of Rackna's land. She'd heard of his pride, and Grace though it'd been a good idea for them to find a home. She looked to her long time friend with a smile. "Ready?"
Grace smirked. "Now or never." She said through a giggle. Bothlionesses lifted their muzzles to the air, and almost as if practiced, rumbling, feminine roars errupted from their maws in mingled into one tone. Time to finally have a home.

Laughter flowed freely as Rackna flopped onto his side from Briseis's loving attack, smile wide as he mussed her hair. "Briseis! I swear, if you grow any more you'll be protecting me from hyenas!" He sighed happily, getting back to his feet. He couldn't remember being this happy for quite some time now...
Unfarmiliar, yet friendly, roars met the king's ears, and his flakes twitched at the noise. He turned, golden eyes roaming the vast landscape until they landed on a pair of lionesses. Trotting over, he nodded his head to them, beaming.
"Hello ladies, how may I help ya?"

"Hey mom, I'm going out venturing for awhile...I should be back before night fall." She gave her a grin before looking back at her father. They were all so happy...she was too for now. But a series of unfortunate events may lead the female from not coming back and starting a more dangerous life style.
