Cindy hurried out to get what she needed, which were left downstairs unfortunately, but she was quick about it. She poked her head into the room she had been working in with the things she needed.

"Triton, Serenity is here, and she's in a bit of shock, could you go get Donovan?" Cindy inqiured, "I do wish Mom was here, but even if you went to get her now it would be a day or two until she could come."

With that she was upstairs again, making her way into the room to Serenity's side. Setting the basin down gently, she soaked the towel.

Lin peered down at Serenity, watching what her sister was doing. She wanted to help to, but she was so small, so instead she cuddled against Elros.

Elros held Lin protectively. He didn't know what was going on, but whatever it was, he sensed that it wasn't very good. He wondered if everyone else in the room knew something he didn't, because with the exception of Elrohir, no one seemed surprised that Serenity's eyes were changing colour as quickly as a chameleon.

"I would have to say definitely," Elros nodded certainly. "I have no idea what might have set it off ... that the ranch was here surprised her, but she was fine until we mentioned that Lord Elrohir was here ... and then when Lin mentioned that Lady Haradhel is expecting ... she just collapsed."

Serenity's eyes, now a bright gold colour, turned towards Cindy. Her mind was still fogged and incoherent, but she was aware that one of her hands was being held, much as Garrick had used to do. Deep down, she knew better, but she couldn't help but hope - the desperate hope of a shocked mind - that he was there beside her once again, and she turned her head to look, expecting him to be there at her side - but when she saw who it really was, she gasped and jerked her hand away ... and a moment later, within the blink of an eye, she was gone, and in her place was a fiery phoenix.

Cindy backed away, not sure if this phoenix would burn her, but they really had to calm her down. She calmed herself, wondering if Serenity even reconigzed her.

"Serenity-san," she told the phoenix as calmly as she could, "You need to calm down. You are safe."

Elros's normally expressionless face was frozen in an expression of surprised shock, his icy blue eyes wide and staring. Yet not a flicker of fear crossed his face, not a hint of horror: rather, he seemed to be half-smiling, in awe.

The phoenix edged back from Elrohir's outstretched fingertips, but the flames died down slowly, then vanished along with the phoenix and was replaced with a hummingbird that buzzed to Cindy's shoulder, where it hid from Elrohir's line of sight.

Inwardly, Serenity was wide awake once more but still filled with fear. It was slowly sinking in, what she had just done - shapeshifting in front of all those people. She fought to calm her racing heart (though considering that she was a hummingbird she wasn't having much luck - the only way it would slow was through torpor and that meant she would have to fall asleep, which she refused to do) and waited for the inevitable shouts of panic and fear, along with people (Elrohir in particular) trying to get her out of the house.

Perhaps Cindy thought, that this could be solved without using any drastic measures as she put her bag back into her pocket. Carefully she reached behind her to carefully stroke Serenity with one finger.

"Serenity-san, you really should return to your normal form. I think you're worrying your son."

Triton peered behind Donovan a bit suprrised by the rukus that was going on. He peered at Cindy and the bird, and at Lin who looked like she wanted to pet the bird, and Elrohir who was obviously worried.
