Konnichi wa! O genki desu ka?(As I would try to write it in Japanese characters, the computer I am currently on doesn't have it installed yet. Gomen! :/)
Well anyway the name is Kittymutt, but you can call me Katie. I am 16 years old. I am very happy to become a member of this guild. I have always had an interest in Japan since I was very young. (lol Sailor Moon 3nodding ) It started as just watching anime to where I am now just wanting to learn about everyday life and such in Japan.
I just recently started teaching myself Japanese.(recent as in yesterday xd ) I know a few greetings and sayings from a few websites and such. Right now I am trying to learn all of the Hirigana and Katakana (probably spelled those wrong)It seems like a lot of people here are trying to learn Japanese too.

Sorry if this is long! I find introductions to be important!
You can call me Ukryu (not Japanese... if it were Japanese, it would be pronounced aakuraiyu) or Brandon. I'm 15, and I'm that exceptionally smart student in the school with the bad reputation. stare My friends call me Asian because it's so strange for someone in our school to be interested in Japan. My hobbies are video games (Tales of Symphonia 4 Life xd ), studying different cultures, and also I'm a strong Christian. I like anime somewhat, but I like to watch it legally on tv. I love watching Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Banzuke. They're awesome. I even got my family hooked to them. I also like some j-pop and a few j-rock songs.
I've been interested in Japanese somewhat since I was a little kid, but I haven't bothered to start learning it until last year. I gave up learning it during the school year, but I'm starting to learn it again during the summer. I'm not going to stop this time. 3nodding I'm currently learning using a "for dummies" book my grandma got me and the books at my local library. Since my city is pretty run down, that's not a huge selection. I'd like to take a community college course on it, but I can't because I'm not an adult. My grades don't even matter to them. stare

Hi, my name is Erica. I've always been a fan of Anime and would love to know more about the Japanese language and culture.I've tried to learn Japanese through an online course in the past but didn't really get too far. I'm hoping to have a better chance at learning it in the Japanese Student Guild. 4laugh

Hewwo, I'm Kyou...I'm obessed with rabbits and anime characters with animal ears. I want to learn Japanese because it is a beautiful language and I've always liked Japan, ever since before I even knew anime existed.

Hello all. My name is CHoire. In the real world its TJ. I'm an American college student Living in Sapporo (on Hokkaido, in case you weren't aware and want to know). I'm a Japanese major, and in my last year. I plan to become an interpereter in the future. I will return to the states in December. I've laready been here long enough that I forget the occasional word in English, so forgive me for that please. I'm in love with all things Japanese, especially traditional Japanese art. Its a life long obsession.
I know that to people living in western cultures, its interesting to hear a gaijin's experience in Japan, so if you want to know something, just ask and I'll be happy to tell you from my experience. (I think that was bad grammar, sorry).
Other than Japan, my interests include sci-fi and fantasy book, movies, and shows. I also like gaia, DragonFable, and Postsecret, as far as the internet goes. I'm also preparing to get married in about a year, so that is taking up a lot of my thoughts. This was lengthy, so if there's anything else, just ask. I'm pretty open.

Ah! Konnichiwa, minasan!! I'm Aries.... Chinese... 14 at the moment, but going to be 15 in July 5th. ^__^ 4 days~
I just joined today. I've been watching anime in Jap with Eng subs since 5 years ago, so basically, I know the basics... but I never talked in nihongo with anyone irl yet. sad I've been studying some Jap, but not so much motivation without a friend to keep me company, and I sometimes get confused...
I hope to learn a lot from this guild and its members.

I'm 16, and I've been studying Japanese for 4 years now. My fascination with Japan seems to have no limit! I love the language, country and traditional culture, as well as music, manga, anime, dramas, food...

おはようございます!
I'm 18, Canadian, and heading to university in September to study music. Japanese sounds musical to me- so when I was a kid and I heard Japanese, I got addicted, like many others, to the JPop/anime/manga obsession. Later in life I met a girl who taught me to draw manga and do brush painting, so I thought it would be nice to put some Japanese into my art.
Unfortunately... I'm pretty dirt-poor and don't have much money for lessons, so I've been learning from books and podcasts. crying Gomen nasai...
I'm really hoping I'll be able to understand enough Japanese to have conversations with pen pals etc. soon!

I Love to watch anime shows or movies. My favorite anime is Ouran High school host club. My favorite movie is The girl who lept through time and The earthsea there is another name for that movie in japanese but i forgot :[. I only know the key words like "Hi,Please,Thank you ect." but i am currently trying to learn about vowels
I hope i can find someone who can teach my japanese :]
