"Yeah you are getting pretty good at this. I might just have to stick around with you, watch how this whole super awesome jutsu thing works out for you." Raine smiled, his eyes under the water searching for the little fishes.

"Well good. Cause you're stuck with me. You're too cool to let go." his hands broke the water, his fingertips sliding and leaving trails of waves behind them. Pi too smiled, feeling loved.

"Hey... Raine?" Pi said, his small voice squeaked through the hum of the leaves above them. The small boy glanced back down at his waist the little pick head pocked out from his waist line.

"Yeah?"

Pi hesitated, "Can I ask a question?"

Raine didn't bother looking down, grabbing a fish quickly, and holding his fists below the surface for a second before letting the fish dart away.
"Yeah sure." the boy said.

"Well it's just um... I just was wondering what happened to your body?" The little worm pulled out his hand and pointed his stubby fingers up at Raine's torso.

The young boy sighed, he didn't like to think about that mission. He didn't want to think about what the scars meant to him. His first life taken... the blood spilt over his hands and his blades. Raine snatched a fish and held it, so tense in his silence that he almost squished the small thing. But suddenly his bright blue gaze fell to the reflection of himself and he smiled, letting the fish go, it's flight faster than could be seen.

"Oh it was a mission that I did. A big old Taki ninja with a huge sword cut me up. But no worries, I guess I succeeded." he seemed cool in the quiet breeze of the day. The little animal nodded.

"Wow, that's pretty cool. Must have been a hard fight an all."

Raine laughed a bit. "Yeah, that was probably my hardest mission ever."

Pi sighed in Raine's pocket placing his little claws on his chin. The small boy darted around the rice fields, poking down at the fish below, completely content with his games.

"Raine is this all you're doing?" he asked up, straining his small voice to become audible.

Raine stopped, placing a fish back in the water and standing up to look down at Pi. 'Well, yeah. Training takes a really long time, and sometimes it does get really boring. But Me and Lavi we do stuff all the time to keep each other company. Like Lavi, he's my buddy, he's a chunin and all. He tells me all about history. And tells stories and stuff it's really cool." Raine rolled his shoulders up, and thought of all the training he had done in sunagakure.

Little Pi smiled "I know some good stories. Things in the desert tell stories all the time you know. I mean you haven't lived until you've heard a story from a cactus." Raine giggled a little at Pi's silliness, than thought about the option that Cati might actually tell stories...

"Well, give me a good one then."

Pi thought for a little while, his tiny tail tapping against the inside of Raine's pocket, who was now hunched over, his hands following a fish calmly and slowly as not to scare it. He was quiet in order to hear the small voice of his ajolote friend. Soon enough the little animal spoke up.

"Okay, okay, this one is called The Hunt."

"Ohhhm, sounds spooky." Raine exaggerated as his eye flicked across the water.

"Anyway! It's about this guy and his big dog right. So they live up in the mountains where it's snowy and cold. And on night he goes in to see his wife and tells her that he's gonna go on a hunt with his big dog. But get this, he's wife says. 'Look I don't think you should do that, I saw a blood moon the other night.' Like you know how the moon get's red sometimes, well it's called a blood moon. And than she says, 'And than a crow landed on your side of the bed. Those are bad omens and I don't think you should go."

Raine was intrigued a bit, but still working on finding a fish, slowly wading through the knee deep fields.

"But the guy decides to go on his hunt anyway. So he leaves with his big dog and when they are hunting the find a raccoon. So the dog goes running after it! And suddenly the raccoon jumps off into this frozen over lake, and the dog follows, but he's way to heavy and falls through the ice!"

Raine was listening intently sad that the dog had jumped into the water.

"So the guy freaks out and doesn't want his dog to die. So he jumps in after to save him."

Raine stopped holding a fish in his cupped hands. "Wow, did he save the dog!" he asked down towards his waist, before pouring the water from his hands.

"Eh would you just wait, I'm telling the story. So anyway, the next morning the guy woke up with his dog whining for him to wake up, on the side of the river bank."

"Oh sweet they made it!"

Pi laughed a bit, "So anyway, they get up and walk back, suddenly they find two guys digging a whole though. And they walk up and the guy says to these men. 'hey what are you doing digging on my lawn?" But than they don't pay any attention to him. So he asks them again, but they don't pay attention. Suddenly though one of them says to the other, 'Do you think it's big enough?' and the other says, 'Well it's only for a dog.' than the main guy feels bad and says,'Why didn't you tell me you were burying a dog, I wouldn't have bothered you. So he takes his dog and goes to his house. Where he finds all of these people at his house and they are all dressed in black."

"Oh he's a ghost isn't he! No way, and that whole was for his dog. That's not a very good story."

pi rolls his head, "Well, that's not the end of it, so you can't judge it yet. So anyway. He get's to his house and finds his wife crying, but no matter how hard he tries he can't talk to anyone. Than they carry out a coffin and everyone in the house goes to follow it to the graveyard. So the guy and his dog follow them out. But! there is a big old fence that has been built, which he can't remember, so he tells his dog that they are going to try and find a place to get through. So they walk and walk, for like hours they are walking until they finally come to a gate, and a nice man sitting behind it gets up and waves. He says 'oh high friend.' and the man says, 'Why, hello friend, can you help me out. I think I'm lost.' but the man behind the gate just smiles and says, 'That's what they all say. So anyway, how did you die?' The main guy is like "what?' and than the man behind the gate says, 'Well this is heaven, friend.' And the guy shakes his head thinking back to the night before than he suddenly remembers jumping into the lake. And nods, taking his dog and stepping forward. but the guy behind the gate stops him, 'sorry, but you can't bring him in here. He goes to a different heaven altogether.' but the main guy stops and he's like 'no way, anywhere that I go my dog goes. What kind of heaven is one without dogs?' he asks, and decides to go and walk alone with his dog for eternity instead of going off to heaven. So after a few more hours of walking, a nice young guy sees him and waves on the road. He stops next to the guy and his dog and smiles 'hey, I was sent here to get you and your dog. I've come to take you up to heaven.' He says, but the man looks angry, 'I'm not going anywhere without my dog.' the young man looks surprised, 'Well why wouldn't you bring your dog?' he asks. The man is surprised and says, 'Well the man back at the gate told me I couldn't bring my dog.' the young man drops his head and than looks up. 'That wasn't the entry to heaven, that was the entry to hell. You see a man will walk straight into hell with his eyes wide open. But a dog...' He pet the mans dog. 'So anyway, won't you come up to heaven now?' than the man smiled yes, and they went off to heaven with his dog. So that's a lesson that you should always have a good dog with you when you die, as not to walk straight into the devil's driveway." Pi finished with a nod of his head, and Raine actually was super into the story.

"Wow, that was a great one!"

Raine looked down to his little friend, and back to the pond where no more little fish swam, all scared away by the tedious game he had been playing. "Well, seems like fishing's got to be over." The small boy rolled his shoulders wondering what he could do now. The sun was long gone behind the mountains backs and the cool blue of night had fallen over his shoulder. The dim light had adjusted with his eyes and he saw that he was alone in the night. Only with Pi at his side.

"Does that mean, we're done. It is getting late." he pawed at the fabric of Raine's pocket.

The boy kicked at the water. "Well, I just feel like I haven't done very much yet, I've got to like train constantly just to be able to do this jutsu. I mean it's going to be a really hard jutsu, it's an A rank! I guess maybe just a while longer."

PI nodded, "Okay, well should I tell another story? Or maybe I'll just fall asleep."

Raine laughed a bit, "Go ahead and sleep. But I might keep you up." he lowered his knees, centering his back and throwing his hands up in front of him. His weight shifted into a powerful stance that could not be broken through his ultimate defense. "I don't think you'll need to tell a story though." It was time for Advanced Taijutsu. Something he had learned deep in the sweltering wind country's heart. Tsuyosa had burned this into his muscles for days when he was there. And now he couldn't wait to practice.

Rolling his muscles quickly to get himself acquainted his pulled back his tightening fist. A feeling like warmth came over him, a great peacefulness that came with using his body, turning into a deadly weapon and exerting such powerful there was nothing in the world that could make him feel worthless. The boy closed his eyes and breathed, only a moment later he was off. His fist smashing the air away with such force and precision that the air around it snapped the night like a thick whip. His whole body moved and flung, pulsing with each punch and jab. He swerved through the water, sending up plumes of water, the shattered the calmness of the surface.

Little PI, held on tight, partly with fear and partly with awe. He had a horrible view from down at Raine's pant line, but he could look up at the small boy's torso, working with stress and popping muscles that flashed movements across his dull eyesight that he could not have imagined. An understanding of the boy that he could not grasp before was there, and Pi understood, exactly why Raine was training.

Raine pulled himself back, setting up for an attack, his eye narrow and focused. His movements targeted and meaningful. Unleashing both fists forward, setting with all of his weight and thrusting power forward with all of his might. He pulled up his knee and flung forward, pointing his toes and holding in his arms. He landed in the water with a skid and a cascade of energy flying up, and soaking him. Raine cut out to either side of him instantly and pushed forward in the water, delivering hit after hit of power. A relentless force being forward. Forcing air with his chest with nearly every hit, the small boy smashed forward, and pushed upward and back ward. Every direction imaginable was the way that he went and there was nothing but the sweet bliss of the fight.

"Wow." PI spoke, far below Raine's ears, he was dizzy with the movement, and the energy. The small worm was gifted with an external ear, picking up the slightest vibrations to locate a tasty snack deep beneath the ground. But now, hear at Raine's waist, he could hear every twitching muscle. It was like an orchestra of noise, booming and working like a massive machine. He had no clue such noise and power could come from within a thing. It seemed as if everything inside this small boy was shooting with friction and energy.

Raine smiled as he heard the small word below him. Quickly, bending down, throwing himself up, and spinning a momentous punch down into the water, exploding up and leaving the ground bare for a moment before filling in quickly and soaking his hot arm.

Raine swung his foot along the ground, his unbreakable stance giving the movement even more power than would have been created. A wave of water rose up and sprayed out, quickly, he bent down and let his foot fly out far from his body. Spinning in a low round house kick. More water spray up as he pushed his whole weight into the movement. There was nothing put power in his well perfected body. Precisely positioned into even more powerful techniques. Raine once again rose and shot out more punches. His wrists perfectly flat. The boy imagined an opponent before him. And gave jabs like candy to it's chest. Cracking ribs with his knuckles. The fire in him grew and his muscle began to harden around him. His skin rippled. Before he pulled back, pushing his left foot forward, and throwing his whole body forward for a cross, that would have shattered bones. The boy seethed fire, the water already soaking on his body mixing with his sweat.

Pi stayed deathly quiet below. He did not understand what he heard. Only that it was like rocks and rubber bands at the same time. His friends muscle was not muscle at all. The Ajolote peered up at the odd effect, what was this? Not only could he hear his muscle but the small creature felt a heavy heartbeat below, beating quickly and powerfully throughout his friend. Fighting for Raine was like an ecstasy, Pi had never seen before.

"Hua!" Raine spoke of his motions, a wound punch unleashed into the air in front of him. Raine jumped forward, completely in the air, before sending his leg out, and twisting into a twirl that wound have snapped the neck of an opponent. The small boy was tireless in his glee. Fighting, the one thing that he was truly more amazing at than anyone he knew. He was the king of this world, and it was the only thing that kept him going sometimes. There was no one in the world that could compare to his fist. He gasped for breath before he sheathed his claws into a fist and smashed at everything that had ever done him wrong. Smashing anyone that had ever cut him. He smashed at his father, he smashed at Heisei, he pounding into Hatchi's gut, and hammer-fisted Mashida's face from his memory. There was nothing he couldn't hit, not even the people who had abandoned him.

Raine hit the ground with both feet. Water sprayed up, and he lurched forward to stomp himself. breathing heavily, he smiled. "Ah man that felt good!" he laughed, feeling the cold water falling off of him. "You okay Pi?" he looked down at the small worm, who was clutching his pocket and gazing up at him.

"Wow." was all that he could manage.

Rain laughed through a broad smile, "Yeah, you think so? I practice a lot." He felt the glory of his success and filled with pride.

"I mean, I could hear inside of you too. I could hear everything that happened. And I don't get what happened to you. You sounded weird. Like you have rocks and rubber bands inside you." The little creature poked it's head out farther in emphasis.

Raine shrugged. "Hmm, well... I guess that might have been my bloodline. I'm a Tekkenseisai. I have special muscles, nothing can break through me." he laughed again, "Well, It's about time we headed home." He stretched his back up, and gazed up at the glorious stars. They were reflected back, and the boy stood there between them in the twilight. Closing his eyes Raine
breathed. Home.

"Okay!" Raine smiled with confidence as he held the box in his hand. He had come to the tree at the edge of the rice fields which was his hands-down favorite place to be. Not to mention, it was an excellent place to train in peace. "Hey, Pi I'm going to train again. I hope you don't mind the movement but I don't think it will be too much."

The small worm-lizard poked it's head out of Raine's pocket. "Hmm? Oh, more of this. I was trying to sleep last night and you were off doing naughty things. Now you're waking up at what five!" He wore a face of utter frustration.

"Hey, I'm sorry about that Pi. Really, I am. I've definitely been up too much." He leaned down and broke the tape on the box. Pulling out the package of exploding tags and a Kunai. "It's just that I have to work harder than my hardest." He attached the tag to the Kuanai with the small sting on the tag. Then stood up.

"Well, Why do you have to do that?" He sighed.

"because Xen is better than me." He said the words harshly and Raine pulled up the chakra inside him, concentrating in the tag. He flung it out over the rice fields, and watched as it fell back to the ground far away. "Ah damn."

"What are you trying to do anyway?" Asking Pi who had watched the Kunai fall and make a tiny splash in the fields.

"Well I'm trying to make it explode." He leaned down once more to assemble another tag on another Kunai. He had always had trouble with chakra, who knew why he had chosen jutsu to do first. Maybe to prove he could do it? As he stood he explained it to Pi,"You see, I have to concentrate my chakra in this tag." He closed his eyes and focused hard on the small piece of paper feeling the warmth and electricity flowing through his fingers. He though of the tag as an extension of his body and as soon as he was done, opened his eyes and flung out the kunai.

It went high and far, whistling through the morning sky. Raine was about to look away before the thing, lit up in an amazing display of explosion. The early morning sky illuminated by the thing. Both Raine and Pi stared up at the beauty. Their faces lit up with red light.

"Wow. How did you do that?" Pi said.

"Ha, I really don't know Pi." Raine smiled down surprised with himself ut delighted and proud. He had done it on only his second shot. That wasn't so bad was it? "I really can't believe I did that so quickly." As the fading explosion settled into sparks dancing intot he water, Raine leaned back to set up another kunai. He attached the tag as usual trying to mimic his actions before.

"Oh why not? I thought ninja's did that kind of thing all the time." Pi pushed himself a little farther out of Raine's pocket now apparently awake.

"Oh, it's just really hard for me to use chakra. I don't know why." he paused. "Well that's not true. I know why."

Pi looked to him, as he stopped to throw the exploding tag into the air once more. It was just as disappointing as his first attempt. With a sigh he said, "It's because I'm a Tekkenseisai." He felt quilty that he was ashamed to say that name for once. Pi was utterly surprised. Raine had always been more than enthusiatic about his heritage.

"I don't understand." Raine nodded down.

"Well, It's just that the bloodline, gives us advantages, but like every other bloodline it makes it harder to use chakra. It's just not very natural for us. In the combination of body and mind to create chakra we can never really harness the mind part. Or I don't know. It just doesn't mis up right inside you."
