Different groups had different base stats and different abilities. Then by using the 1 incoming and 1-3 outgoing arrows on each card to form chains of control (EX: The Gnomes of Zurich controlling several groups including the IRS who in turn controlled California, The Televangelists, and Beorjne: The pink viking dinosaur who all the children loved so. The televangelists in turn could control the David Birch Society and the Postal Service). When you played a group from your hand, you had to use actions from groups in your power structure to make a bid at controlling them that people could interfere with. If you failed, other players could attempt to take the group over before it got discarded. When you attacked other players you could either try to destroy groups in their power structure (and the group leading the assault gained bonuses if their traits were the opposite of the target) or try to take them over and make them join you (having similar traits helped here). The game was also tinged with the usual Steve Jackson intellectual humor and OWNS HARDCORE. Lunch Money is a fast paced card game based on the premise that the players are catholic schoolgirls on the playground beating each other up for their lunch money.
