TerashiLeonGoken SubonicXP "Alright, and what was it they were after?" Sub asked Terashi. "Had to have been something." I sighed. "I'm not sure about that. Jira said that the object Archie picked up looked like the Sapphire Slate that Maxie found, but it looked red... like some kind of ruby.""Ruby you say? The Ruby Slate then. I actually did a little digging since our last encounter back in Lost Cave." Sub said as he stood up and walked towards the bookcase in his room. It was a rather large wooden bookcase, filled with many old books he kept, mostly involving various Pokemon myths, he enjoyed mythology so they were good reads. The trainer took a single book from the shelf, an old brown on. With book in hand Sub walked back over to his desk and sat down, opening the book as he rest it on top of the desk. "Let's see here...here it is." He said as he flipped through a few pages and stopped on one page in particular. "The Ruby and Sapphire Slate. There is an old legend about these two gems. The legend goes that long ago an ancient people lived alongside a mysterious Pokemon, using its powers to advance their civilization. To make a long story short though the Pokemon's powers were too much for the people to control so they had to lock them away." Sub explained. "The people wanted to make sure the Pokemon would never be able to influence their civilization again so they built a mighty chamber high up on the mountain tops and with the last bit of control over the Pokemon they sought to lock away they formed two gems, one filled with the essence of the mighty mountains, and another of the raging seas. Once they led the Pokemon inside the chambers they used the power of the gems to seal the chamber shut, locking away the Pokemon so that their dangerous power may never be used by humans again." He said flipping a page. "The people tried to destroy the gems, the keys to the chambers so they may never be opened again, but the power of the Pokemon that created them were too great, they were impossible to destroy, only their creators could do so. As such, the people hid the gems away, the blue rest of top of a fierce mountain at the end of a winding maze, and the other deep underground, also at the end of a maze, they mazes were made by the people to deter anyone seeking the gems. And thus, that is the legend of the Ruby and Sapphire Slate." He said closing the book. "If the legend is true then that must mean the Sevii Islands were once mountain tops, makes you wonder what caused the area to fill in with the waters of the ocean, obviously it wasn't natural since no humans could have lived that long ago." He said pondering. "Regardless, it seems Maxie and Archie believe the legend is true and are seeking the Pokemon sealed away in those ruins, which I assume are the Tanoby Ruins. They have baffled archeologists for decades as they can't figure out a way in. I fear that those Pokemon might be able to give Archie or Maxie their deepest wish, especially considering the Sevii Islands was once a mountainous region and then suddenly flooded with water." He said with a sigh. "This is all speculation of course. There could be nothing inside the ruins and it could all have been some sort of old world ritual or superstitious belief."

"Wh... what!?" I asked bewilderedly. I never put much stock into legends before, and it seemed absolutely insane to destroy the world over something so petty. But the evidence was right there. They were clearly trying to do this, regardless of the results they would get. And in the off-chance there actually IS something in those ruins...
"We've got to stop them," I said. "If there's even the slightest chance of there actually being something in those ruins, we have to stop them from awakening it."

Sub said as he stood back up, walked over to the bookcase, and put the book back before returning to his seated position at his desk. "However, time is on our side. Not one side has both of the slates, meaning each individual one is useless to them without the other. Surely the two will seek out their rival and fight for the opposite slate. For now, all we can do is wait until that time comes. It is then that we will have our best chance of taking the slates from them amidst the chaos and stop them from unlocking the ruins. I know just waiting doesn't sound like the best option but I have no other idea on what we could do at this point." He grunted. "Letting them fight and wear themselves out is our best bet."

I kinda sat there, taking in the entire scenario. I couldn't deny Sub's logic, that was a sound strategy. Sitting around and waiting for them to move didn't sit well with me, though. But what choice did I, or we, have?
"No, you're right," I said with a bit of a sigh. "Nothing we can do but let them wear themselves thin right now."

Upon arriving back to Snagem HQ with Terashi, the two parted ways. Krystal used the laundry facilities and her sister's bathroom to their full extent, her and Liz enjoying a long, bubbly soak. It felt so good to be clean and the hot water soothed her muscles that had been put under so much stress as of late. While in the large tub, Krystal couldn't help but reflect upon her battle, a hand coming to Liz's head.
"You were awesome, Liz, you really did hang in there." She said to the Charmander, giving the female Pokemon a sudden hug. That had been a tough battle, especially since Liz was her only Pokemon. Well, they had gotten some good experience in, Krystal mused as she lifted herself from within the tub and stepped out, wrapping her body within a pink, fluffy towel. She looked at it and smirked. Typical Freya style. She wondered where the girl was, though. Maybe she should ask someone.
Eventually, the brunette wandered down the stairs, Liz at her side as she hardly ever thought to put the Pokemon in her Ball. The pair wandered around for a bit before eventually coming to the office Terashi had taken her to on a previous day. Hearing voices coming from within, Krystal figured that the 'Boss' must be in. Knocking on the frame, she smiled at the familiar blond guy. "I'm not interrupting anything, am I? Cause I can leave if I am." Krystal questioned, motioning back down the hall.

Boom! Blam! pow! screech! swing! Oh Arceus had the battle begun to heat up. The rivalries boiling up between the team were now out in the open, with the only pokemon consistently avoiding attacking each other were Five and Zero, who often were seen teaming up to fight some of the veteran members! If Hawk had to pick out their favorite Move so far, it would be:
cue flashback!!!
Twelve had been Wrecking the team for a while. With his assortment of attacks, he could dampen, and distract, as well as attack and knock around the other members. His experience and agility was putting him in a position of power!
That is until he was double Teamed.
After a quick conversation, Five and Zero suddenly rushed the Dewott. They were able to split up and avoid having the both of them blasted by the Hydro Pump he sent their way. Once in close range, Five began using Scratch, swinging her arms like a crazed animal. Each swing was countered with Twelve's shells. He was beating away every swing with his smooth and graceful Dance of Counter Activity. He was feeling confident, until suddenly he was bitten in the tail.
While Five and twelve were fighting, Zero circled around back, Using Charge to gather up electricity. Oh man she loved that feeling. It was all set to go when suddenly One swooped down and snatched up the little Shinx! She nearly flipped her hits when she saw the ground suddenly pull away. Unfortunately for One, She Let loose a Thunder fang straight into his leg, shocking the bird.
One knew he wasn't going to get anywhere with Twelve. Not with the Others still twirling around. So he decided to pick them off! If he could get them out of the running, he could take out Twelve with no distractions! So, he swooped down and grabbed one of the squirts. He had this all planned out. He would take and throw it at the Ghost thing! it was a perfect plan! (GYAAAAAARGHGHGHGHGHG) One squawked in pain as he was shocked, being Knocked out from the damage, plus the damage he'd taken.
As One fell through the air, Zero simply held on, leaping away before the bird hit the ground and was returned. Running as fast as she could, and with a big leap, She'd pull off another thunder fang and clamp straight down on Twelve's tail. The shock not only dealt damage, but managed to leave him open long enough for Five to get in a wicked Iron tail. And so, Twelve was also returned. And so left Eight, Five and Zero.

With nothing more that needed to be said, I got up to leave when I saw Krystal at the door. "Oh, hey," I said. I looked back at Sub, who seemed to be busy, before looking back at Krystal. "No, I think we're done here. Did you have something to ask Sub? I'll just get out of your way so you can do that."

Blizzard120 "Alright. Come on." he said, finishing off his water. "I can smell him too, and his scent still seems kinda fresh. He couldn't have gotten that far, could he?" he asked. Tails sauntered out of the bed and walked to the door with his tails dragging behind him. He would wake up. Eventually. What he really needed was some of Typhlosion's chili. Oh, it would wake him up in so many ways.

One look at Sub and Krystal could tell that he was mighty busy and she really didn't feel like disturbing him. So, shaking her head, she smiled at Terashi.
"Ah, no, it can wait. What are you up to?" She asked, moving out of the doorway to allow for him to pass if he wanted to.

"...I'm not up to anything, anymore. I just wanted to tell Sub what the deal was with that Dotted Hole business, and we've already taken care of that. I've got free time, now."

Krystal smiled at this before coming up to Terashi and walking next to him.
"Well ... did you wanna hang out? I'm sure you could teach me some stuff." She said with a smile. In truth, she just wanted to be around the blond guy. He was cute and nice - a rarity.

Krystal paused for a moment to think of what they could do. Turning to Terashi, she smiled a bit sheepishly.
"I haven't got a clue, honestly." She said with a bit of a laugh. "Did you have anything in mind?"

All I could do was shrug... and offer a sheepish grin of my own. "Not really, no. I guess just hanging out is fine for now."

"......?" The hall...the living room of sorts...the kitchen...outside and back inside again...scents started to cross upon each other and he stared in confusion. "...........was Blizz busy today?" He asked.
