Victor heaved a large gush of breath under the weight of the Ace of Diamonds. The Diamond wasn’t much taller than Victor, but he weighed more than Victor in muscle mass. The Ace of Hearts gritted his teeth, glancing with squinted eyes at the red-haired man bearing a gun before him.

”Hatter!” Victor shouted as loud as he could under the Diamond’s weight, ”What are you doing here?” Victor had made it clear to Ven that he had wanted to encounter the Ace of Diamonds himself and didn’t want assistance from anyone else. Despite the fact that the Hatter’s distraction had gotten the Ace of Diamonds to take his gun from Victor’s chin, Victor was still angered that the Hatter had not only interrupted them, but was now putting his own life in peril.


The young bored voice of the White King struck Jack, causing him to glance back narrow-eyed at the familiar one-eyed boy dressed in combat gear. The very sight of the White King, a man of status dressed in such a way disgusted him. Even as a child, during the days when his status was merely the son of Lord Sirshosim, he had never dressed himself like the common people.

”Your Majesty,” Jack said teasingly, steering Gestalt in the direction of Nobody, “The White King, Nobody . . . What a lovely night indeed, you and the resistance playing with fire in the castle.”

Jack glanced at Lewis and the Joker behind him. Lewis was amused as usual, the peril of the castle and the rest of the Suits seemed to bother him very little. Jack even felt that maybe even his physical condition, his dependence on Gestalt, was amusing Lewis.

”Lewis,” Jack muttered, ”Exit the castle immediately with the Joker. Gestalt and I will remain here.”

Lewis could barely contain his grin. There Jack stood, the so-called next god of Wonderland facing one of his arch enemies. For years, Jack had deceived the royal families into taking his side and supporting the Suits. The White King was no longer following the Jack of Diamonds and was now supporting the resistance instead. The thought of Jack, a sick man who considered himself a god, taking on the adolescent White King was indeed amusing. Lewis was on Jack’s side, of course, but was interested in seeing them combat. Still, he decided to do what Jack told him.

”Of course . . . Jack of Diamonds,” Lewis chuckled, grinning widely to suppress a large laugh. His chuckles still crept through his teeth as signaled the Joker forward.


Gestalt pressed his lips shut and tightened his grip on his master’s wrist. The castle was becoming hotter and Gestalt could hear parts of the castle collapsing and Suits screaming. As a doll, he could not perspire, but the heat was burning his flesh and made his clothing very uncomfortable. Gestalt also knew very well that he wasn’t indestructible and the possibility of him burning if fire caught his clothing certainly existed.

The black smoke billowing through the halls was also threatening his master’s breathing. Despite how Jack had treated him, Gestalt was practically programmed to protect his master at all costs. Jack wanted to remain in the room with the White King, so Gestalt would have to obey him. Objecting to Jack’s wants would upset him. Gestalt would have to let Jack speak with the White King until his risk of death was far too high.

Matt heard the shot, and then felt himself being pushed down. He felt Ashle's body fall on top of him. He couldn't hear her heart beat. He gently put her body to the side. His heart was broken. He couldn't even think. He took out his own gun and started to fire at the Ace of Diamonds. "You killed her," he whispered. He looked up. "Hello. My name is Mathuis Hatter. You killed my love. Prepare to die."

((so now Ashle's dead....OR IS SHE?! I also had to do the entire Princess Bride thing...))

Ace of diamonds chuckled under his breath, it was not like he cared about the death of a silly girl, or of the Hatter for that matter, if anything he was glad at the pesrpective of spilling more blood, the clumsy bullets where no treat at all, the first 2 had not even been close to the mark, surely the emotional breakdown the so called 'Hatter' was experincing dulled his horrid combat skills, he knew the Hatter's family had been survivors but not real conbatants.

"Sorry but I am not ready yet" Said the Ace of Diamonds with a sardonic smile as he avoided yet another bullet with ease, the hatter had fired 4 bullets already, if he continued like this his friends where in more danger of being hit by a stray bullet than he was at all.

Ace of Diamonds pointed his semiautomatic gun to the red haired man's hand and fired only once, calculating the impact but ready to avoid the next bullet shall the need arise.

Ace of clubs entered the room just in time to hear Mathius' words "Nice meeting you Mr. Hatter" She said as she pointed her small pistol at the boy's head, so close she could feel the hair brushing the barrel of her pistol "You killed my sister so should i make the same warning?" Came the icy voice void of any emotion, she had been heading toward this place for a while and never trought she would find what she did, her internal dispute between love and duty had been seted by the knowledge of her sister being dead.

This was the only unafected area of the suits facilities and she was not here, thereafter she was dead and someone needed to be executed for that. The Ace of Diamonds was to take off the Ace of Hearts Head maybe she could toy with the other resistance members.

Marcie smiled malevolently as darkness covered her eyes, she was not facing the Queen of hearts so there was no way maria could see her face but when she spoke her voice was so helid the fire close by could be ignored "if he succeeds? We shall eat plum cake" Marcie said with a small giggle as she undid the white bow slowly, savoring the moment.

((and yes, Ace of clubs had been heading that way from the last couple post she was mentioned in, go read back if you didn't notice XD)

The Hatter dropped the gun. The pain in his hand was exrucitating. He looked at the Ace, but not at the other Ace. HE said in a whispered, "And here I thought you were going to give me my sight back..." He smiled madly. He started to laugh. "Oh, this is precious. Two Aces,no, Three Aces and a Hatter and a dead girl...." He then used his foot to kick the gun back up to his other hand. "Speak, once more..."


Ashle started to wake up. The pain in her shoulder was enough to make her yell out.
