Ginji hoped on Dragonite and flew off into the sky, eating dinner on the way to Eterna. "You A-O-Kay Sammy?" he asked in flight.

Sammy released Vixen and climbed on, following Ginji's energy once more. "For the most part, yes," she replied. "And you? ... It is likely that it is Maddy in that forest, according to Brian, so are you sure you are ready to handle the confrontation?" she asked.

"Eterna, huh?" I talk to myself as I walk past the Veilstone Department Store electronics section. "Sounds like something the Team's gonna investigate. Better head there too."
Going outside, I call on Salamence to fly me across Mt. Coronet.

"I think I should be fine." Ginji smiled slightly as he hovered over the forest. "Wow, that is overgrown." he sighed as he stood on top of Dragonite and dove off into the tree tops. As he fell, jet pack wings sprang out as he made his decent into the middle of the forest.

Sammy watched as Ginji dove, sighing a bit. She didn't have any fancy equipment. So, instead, she curled into a tight ball and returned Vixen. She planned on landing in a soft patch of vines or something, and if that didn't work then surely it wasn't too far of a drop down.

Maddy didn't know where exactly she was in the forest, or how exactly she got in this predicament. It's like the forest suddenly sprung to life, as if waking up from a long slumber. There was not a hint of wind but the trees around her rustled angrily, and the grass grew up around her as if trying to stop her from running. "I knew I stayed here for too long!!" She cried out as she was whipped across the face by a tree branch, a long thin cut left on her cheek. Brandishing her claws, she began to furiously hack herself a path, trying to slash at the plants faster than they could grow back to make sure she wasn't completely engulfed.

On approach to Eterna Forest, I decide to get my team set at the Pokemon Center first. As the city comes into view, with the woods behind it, I can't help but marvel at the sight. "That's pretty severe compared to the last time I came here. I'd better hurry!"
Right about then, I see Ginji and Sammy in the distance, dropping down into the middle of the growth. With great haste, I get my pokemon ready for battle, then run to rendezvous with my teammates.

"You okay Sammy?" Ginji asked as she fell from such a great height. "I have to admit, that was a pretty good landing." he laughed slightly as he was tripped by a vine crawling on the ground. "Ouch." he cried out as he landed face first on the ground. Red eyes staring at him through the underbrush.
"Looks like we got some company." the blonde cried as he was attacked by a variety of grass Pokemon, some not even native to the Eterna Forest. "Fight 2-5, and catch one if you like." Ginji said, the Pokemon's eyes glowing demonically.

Sammy released a slight "oomph" as she landed in some vines. She wasn't hurt, but she found it difficult to get out without the ability to see. And then she heard Ginji say how many they were to battle, and she sighed. "I'll have to trust my pokemon on this one..." she sighed, because obviously she couldn't get out. She reached for a pokeball, fingering it and managing to press the button. And the battle ensued.

"Grass Types, huh?" I murmer as they creep out to surround me, "Good a chance as any, I suppose. Go, Ivysaur and Houndour! You too, Salamence and Maul!" My pokemon appear in front and behind me, ready to fend off the attacking pokemon.
Ahead, Carnivine and Weepinbell block my progress. Since my veteran combo of Flareon and Salamence could handle things for themselves, I let them take care of the Grassy pokemon behind me. That meant my attention was free to focus on Ivysaur and Houndour.
Weepinbell got the first strike, sprinkling a haze of Poison Powder around my Houndour. The dog fought back with a spray of Embers, and Ivysaur got Carnivine with Sleep Powder. The carnivorous plant fell asleep as the poison began draining Houndour's strength. Another Sleep Powder, this time from the bell-shaped grass type, failed to find its mark on Ivysaur. With one foe incapacitated, my two pokemon teamed up on their conscious adversary. Fire Fang and Sludge Bomb land the KO blow.
Houndour's condition worsens under the poison in his system as the two now turn on the sleeping Carnivine. Fire Fang goes wide, but Sludge Bomb finds its mark. Now awake, the fly trap pokemon grabs hold of Houndour and Wrings Out even more life. I doubt my pokemon will last much longer, but Carnivine's hurting too. A shot of Embers with a Sludge Bomb chaser are all it takes.
My dog happily eats a Lava Cookie to heal the poison and takes a rest back in his pokeball. I likewise return Ivysaur, and see that my other pokemon have wrapped up their battle too. A Tropius and a Shiftry lay fainted on the side of the path. Calling back my other two, I press ahead to find the other Aquans.

Sammy had managed to press a fortunate combination of pokeballs for their current situation; Blitzen the Typhlosion and Donner the Lucario appeared, both confused by their trainer’s current position entangled in the vines. She did not elaborate, and instead gestured with her head over to the pair of pokemon that were now approaching; a Bayleef and a Sunflora.
Blitzen was the first to make a move, unleashing a wiked Flamethrower at the large flower. It stumbled backwards, several of its petals still on fire from the attack. The Bayleef, angered by its ally’s newly-acquired injury, lunged forth and whipped at Blitzen’s stomach with its vines. The attack actually did surprisingly well, due to it hitting a sensitive area on him. Donner raised his palm, forcing it over Sunflora and knocking it out. That was mainly because of Blitzen’s previous attack, but Donner still took pride in it. Blitzen turned to the Bayleef, letting a Fire Spin engulf it. The Bayleef roared in defiance, bursting out and slamming Blitzen with the full force of its body. Donner used another Force Palm, this time on the Bayleef, but it held on by a thread. Blitzen finished the job, though, with a mid-sized ember that sparked the pokemon’s head leaf and caused it to run into the forest. Sammy returned her pokemon, but then she was confronted by another pokemon.
This time it was a rather formidable looking Sceptile, its eyes glaring with defiance towards the intruder. Sammy sighed deeply, reaching for another random pokeball and tossing it ; Comet, the Alakazam, appeared. Well, that wasn’t too bad. Sceptile moved first, hitting Comet with an X-Scissor. Comet stumbled backwards, but he came back to the fight quickly and covered Sceptile in an ominous purple glow. He then flung the pokemon against the nearest tree with all of his might, doing a good amount of damage. Sceptile came back, pounding at Comet’s head in attempts to faint the pokemon right then and there. While the pokemon was pounding at his skull, Comet held up one of his spoons and pointing it at the pokemon. He then released the Psybeam, and the opponent went flying backwards. Sceptile, now extremely tired, released a few weak leaves at Comet. He easily handled them, then released a Confusion attack at the Sceptile. It fled in terror of the psychic type. Sammy returned her pokemon, but not before asking for assistance with the vines.
Now that she was out of the vines, she looked around worriedly. “Ginji?” she asked, unable to distinguish anything in the forest. There was energy everywhere!

As two Pokemon surrounded Ginji in a movement for a double battle, the teen sent out Nidoran, male and female. The two grass types locked their red eyes with the two new Pokemon on the field. Oddish and Seedot attacked first, striking the pink Nidoran with Mega Drain and Nature Power respectfully. The attacks hit hard, but not as hard as both Nidoran's combined Poison Jab and Fang, KOing the weaker Seedot together due to the super effective nature of the attacks.
Oddish panicked as a soft Giga Drain drained the female Nidoran of some precious hit points. The two Pokemon attacked again with the same combo to KO the resilient Oddish. As the two Pokemon fainted, their eyes returned to normal.
Next three Pokemon appeared. Ginji returned the Nidoran and instead called out Charizard, Natu, and Dragonite. "Charizard, Blast Burn. Natu, Dragonite, Fly." Natu's Quick Claw activated and was able to escape into the sky with Dragonite, avoiding the Blast Burn by fractions of a second.
Amazingly, their was one Pokemon still holding on after the tremendous overkill of flaming potential. A Grotle stood in the middle of the fire, injured, but not KOed. Ginji smirked, "You're a tough one aren't you?" he asked politely as the red in its eyes faded slightly. "Fine. I'll take you with me. You'll make quite the warrior." he smirked, tossing a Greatball.
Wiggle. Wiggle. Wiggle. DING.
"Anyone else feel that demonic presence?" Ginji asked as he returned the rest of his Pokemon as walked over to where Thard was.

Sammy listened to Ginji, then shrugged. "If by demonic presence you mean claustrophobia kicking in, then yes," she stated, feeling a few vines by her arms and the long grass at her feet. It was unsettling, especially since she couldn't see the stuff.

"There's definitely a malicious will in this forest." Finally joining up with Ginji and Sammy, I look around with a scowl at the undulating greenery. Just to be safe, I also get ready to either use a pokemon or draw a sword.

CHristian teleported out of nowhere to his teammates' side. He gave them a swift greeting and took out Flier, his Tailow, and a quite large Tropius appeared in front of him. Tailow began with a Wing Attack and knocked Tropius a little far back. Tropius regained balance and moved in with Razor leaf. Flier took little damage to that because of its Flying Type element. FLier started going on with an Arial Ace. Tropius had, once again, a knock back. Tropius went on and attacked with Stomp and Flier flinched with terror. With FLier scared out of its wits, Tropius attacked with Gust. FLier blew into the air. Flier regained some courage and attacked with a Peck, it missed and Tropius went on with another Gust. Christian decided it was time for a throw and a Pokéball landed on Tropius' head with four ticks it was captured. Christian said," Too easy." Flier returned to its Pokéball and Shade, a Shupet, was summoned.
The next Pokémon they had to face was a Sunkern. It proved to be a strong little guy. Sunkern went on with Leech Seed and Shade began losing energy. Shade attacked with Will-o-Wisp and now both Pokémon were losing energy as the battle went on. Sunkern attacked with Razor Leaf with a critical hit. Shade was so hurt that it almost fell on the ground. Shade attacked with Shadow Ball and Sunkern was hit. The two Pokémon lost health. Sunkern regained some energy with a Sythesis. Shade attacked with another Shadow Ball that missed. Sunkern was determined to regain energy so it did Giga Drain on poor little Shade and he was knocked out. CHristian decided it was time to stop battling.
