She leaves her quarters, heading up to the storeroom and heads inside, pulling out boxes of decorations for the bar. Once she's found all the decorations, she moves the boxes from the storeroom out to the main bar area and starts decorating.
Deciding to start with the lights first, she starts stringing the skull and jack-o-lantern strands across the ceiling, using a stepladder to that she can reach the ceiling.

 *grumbles, unable to keep sleeping with the sounds of things being moved around. He sits up and yawns, then stands and drags himself over to the espresso machine, still wearing his "evening" attire as well as an eyepatch*

She gets down off the stepladder and goes to put it away. Seeing Seth at the bar, she looks him over and snickers.
"Hey, why don't you make yourself useful and help me decorate? Start by putting those black tablecloths on the tables."
She goes to put the stepladder away and comes back out, heading behind the bar. Grabbing a beer, she pops the top and shoves a lime wedge into it. Taking a long drink she sets the beer down on the bar and pulls out the tablecloths, stacking them on the bar.

b... but... *yawns* ... can't you give me a while to wake up before you start giving me orders gonk
*makes himself a steamer with caramel syrup and sets it on the bar, then grabs for the ointment Leko bought for him yesterday. Lifting his eyepatch slightly, his eye still a bit swollen, he lazily slathers some of the ointment over it, wincing slightly. When he's done, he moves the eyepatch back down over it and tosses the tube onto the counter*
If I never get punched in the face again... that would be ideal... stare
*takes up his steamer and flops down on the stool behind the counter*

She rolls her eyes and bangs a fist on the counter.
"Oi! Wake up! There's a lot to be done, and I'd like for it to BE done before Psy gets up here."
She grabs her beer and takes a sip of it, "Tch, men....worthless lot, ya'll are."

She rolls her eyes at Seth, "Believe me, I'm not a lesbian. Ask my brother if you don't believe me. Most men aren't worth the energy required for a relationship, which is why I don't bother."
She grabs a tablecloth and spreads it on a table. "And as far as decorating, I happen to like decorating the bar for different holidays."
She goes and grabs a skull candleholder for the table and puts a votive candle in it, lighting it and looking to see if she likes the effect.

Sounds to me like you're just bitter because you have a poor choice in men. You're only going to end up with men who "aren't worth it" if those are the only types you go for.

The past is the past no matter how you look at it. Just because that's who you -were- doesn't mean that's who you -are-. The only thing that makes it significant is when you put significance into it.
*moves on to the next table, shaking the cloth loose and draping it over*
Sure there will be men that don't want to hook up with a woman that knows how to kill them in several different ways.... if she feels need to inform and remind him of such at inappropriate times. Humans are fragile creatures and can be killed several different ways even without extensive training so what reason is there in making it a point to portray that quality of yourself?

She sees Psy and smiles at her. "I decided to get busy and get the bar decorated for Halloween. Even though we're not having a formal party this year, we can still get in the spirit of the holiday. wink "

Let's just say that you can't judge a book by its cover stare Besides, age and experience don't necessarily always go hand in hand. Some people go through unspeakable hardships at rather young ages while others have it good their whole lives, never knowing what the world is like outside their little happy place.
