There were some suspicions last year, but due to an actual break in at the store with lots of cigarettes stolen they couldn't check it then. The ball got rolling when we reviewed the inventory of our entire store in February, which revealed that we were missing an awful lot in the cigarettes department. A week later the district manager came by and recounted the cigarettes again, noticing that it had gotten only worse. From there on in we were all under suspicion and investigation. He stood out like a real sore though.
The way he did it was by pocketing the paid money for the cigs and not registering it on the till, so he basically gave the packs away, thus explaining why the supplies didn't match up.

And no charges were made? This amazes me the most. When someone gets away with that kind of money you usually make sure that the law knows about this sort of thing.

Finally got IA8, despite typos (and four proof readers) it's pretty good, if yet another example of the Imperium and especially the Elysians being the losers of the ordeal.
At least the Venator and Tauros are okay, plus a new drop troop list is included.
