Slept okay and had a really good night with Austin last night. We watched the Pianist and got McDonald's and relaaaaxed. Really glad I decided to go over there.
But of course icky work today and it's the first of the month so we're gunna be swamped with EBT people. But it's also supposed to rain pretty badly which will be cool.... I dunno. Hi, Naz. :3

The salad bar is broken, so as of this moment I assume my shift will be spent shucking corn again. Which is good because, ugh, yes, the Food Stamp bastards. xp

Yeah man. And EBT people never buy a couple of things. They always buy like 3 cartloads at my store, no joke. That's why I am SERIOUSLY hoping I will be at the 8-items counter because I LOVE the 8-items or less counter. I don't have to lift anything there and it's in like this little corner so I am like away from the customers. Because at a normal register they get in my personal space so bad and I always have to lift like 24 packs of soda and like 42 pound things of dog food and it is miserable. 8-items or less please. I am closing so there is a 50% chance that's where I will be. ********, I wanna shuck corn all night with you. Damn.
I always have fries, I don't like sandwiches. Sometimes I get chicken nuggets but last night I just got two large fries and a chocolate shake, haha. <3
AND MAYBE I DID.

Srsly. And I hate it because half the time the heavy item is the last item in the cart but they decide for some goddamn reason they have to lift it, as if scan guns have not been invented yet. Retards. Then I make them re-lift it to put it in the cart lots, bitches.
I'm pretty sure I will be on 8-items today and tomorrow because I am closing with someone who is under 18 and the 8-items counter is also the cigarette counter so... he can't be over there. And someone always has to be over there. *nods*
Seriously, if there were not potato products I would die. Chips and fries are like 75% of my diet, haha! Omg.
I am eating a delicious bagel right now though, and then I am gunna have blueberries with this cool chocolate pudding/graham cracker/hershey bar concoction I made... :3 Yum.
Like 40 mins till I gotta leave for work, yup.
The whole experience thing is so gay, how are you ever supposed to GET ANY if they don't LET YOU WORK without it? I hated that. So lame.

The experience crap is just because of the recession (however exaggerated it may be because of the media and the political agenda of those discussing it.) No one wants to risk hiring and training a newbie who may not work out for them; it's a waste of money when they can just hire some laid-off lady from another company with 23 years of retail background.
It also depends on the size of the company. Dillons still hires teenagers for sacking because they've got money.
It's probably the college thing that's warding them off, too. School means limited schedule later in the year. They want you to have only one obligation - to them - and be available 24/7. Even though they won't give you full time and it's retardedly easy to swap hours around. S'bullshit.

It's the opposite at BJ's because like... once someone is there for awhile they want to fire them, or find a reason to, because then they can hire someone to pay less. I know the new person they hired has 40 hours a week because they are getting him while he's still getting paid the minimum wage. I also think that's why they want me to work the 40 hours and not the other cashiers because I am still only on my first raise, you know? Yuuup...
I hate als owhen they have to get right close to you to like pay or give coupons. The yalways do this to me, like I have a little mat I stand on and they get right on that s**t! Like BACK THE ******** OFF. You are gross and fat!

Well everyone here starts out at minimum. I just got a raise recently because my HR lady said I'm awesome. X3 I will be getting my 1400 hour raise soon on top of it. My year anniversary with the company is in August. <3

I slept in on accident, I feel like craaaap. n_n But after tonight I got two days off so I'm not worried. And it was completely dead in the store yesterday, it was so weird! We were all standing around bored while manager's tried in vain to figure stuff out for us to do. I did returns and purposely took a long-a** time and no one cared. It was so dead! I wish they would just train me for something else when it gets dead like that, but it's like they have to plan it ahead or something stupid.
Didn't go by too slowly actually, just because all the other cashiers were talking and laughing and I got to do returns and all. *giant yawn*
My back hurts. Hm. Yup.
