"Ah, so you felt it and sense her too? Amazing how she always seems to turn up where we least expect her too... or want her too." He chuckled, nuzzling up to Phia and wrapping his arm around her waist as they continued down the trodden path leading deeper into the forest. Xol knew Sai wouldn't dare intercept the two lest she end up like the last time they had met. Still, it would be fun to get some action, it had been forever since he had played around with anyone in a serious life or death battle. However he knew Phia would murder him if he tried anything in his current state. "So Phia... are you still on fairly good terms with Mastema?"

With a good stretch, she stood up and looked around her at the pieces of her dog laying around her. twisting her wrists as her real one cracked and the other just moved graciously, She took a few steps away from the pieces of metal and placed her hand son her hips. "Fix..." She stated firmly as she glanced at the pieces. Within seconds the pieces as if they were magnets, pulled themselves together and rebuilt the dog within 30 secs. As the dogs head crawled up to its place. its eyes lit up green and nodded. She smiled softly as it worked.

"I Suppose I am...moreso Devon is with 'is children....an' 'is wife. Nana is a book worm like meself." She remarked with a smile before trailing off and looking up to her love. "Why do ye ask? I mean it was quite random...." She narrowed her eyes at him slightly. What was Xol planning that he wasn't was avoiding sharing with her she wondered. Phia's soul-piercing gazed was fixed upon him well now. There was a small pert of her that was wondering if she was being irrational. Then again, this worry was valide when it was in terms of the man holding her. After like herself, he was a hot head.

Tyrsais stood on the edge of the forest. It had been a long time since he had last even been in this area. Hard to imagine so much time had passed for him. Digging up information was never simple, devising plans was never quick, even so this took much longer then expected. He knew he was well overdue to return to the Citadel if they were to welcome him back. Even so he had better make a good impression. He had spent some of his time away training his skills and controlling his behavior. He hoped these new skills would serve him well as he made his way through the forest towards the Black Company.

"Just a question dear, I'm more interested in what you saw in there. Weapons, giant mechanical monstrosities, technology. That sort of thing." His eyes met with hers before moving back to the forest in front of them. That much was true, trying to get information on Mastema's technologies, however he wanted to know the mentality of the man as well. If he'd changed at all. He knew Phia wouldn't share the same feelings of them as he did... and he didn't know if Phia truly knew how deep his hatred and spite for the couple really went. So for now he would put on a happy face and pretend that dissolving them into an atomized goo was one of his many top priorities.

"Jeeze, another one?" He scoffed, quirking his head slightly to the faint aura of Tyrsais. "I seriously doubt he'll even bother with us however please keep on guard love." Xol's arm tightened ever so slightly around her waist.

Relinth began his trek through the forest moving at a steady pace with the back of equipment slung over his shoulder. He had taken note that there were other people in the surrounding region. Though for now he wasn't close enough to be sure of whom any of them were. For now he just trudged down the path thinking to himself about things. Sai was an odd enough a person he thought, something about her still felt off to him. He supposed though he better get back and meditate.

Tyr moved over to a tree nearby him and leapt into the branches. He would climb his way to a higher vantage point glancing out over the forest. He took his time to analyze everything in the area that his senses could note. Two familiar energies and another which he wasn't familiar with. Xol he picked out after a moment not bothering to take more then just a note of his presence since he hadn't moved toward him. The other signature was exactly the one he had been looking for though. He would begin to leap from tree to tree moving with a fair speed through the forest toward Relinth. As he would approach closer he would slow down moving steathily suppressing his aura, attempting to stalk his old foe for now.

Finally...

Relinth would continue to make his way through the forest. He had been walking for some time now and was beginning to slow. As he wasn't really paying a whole lot of attention to his surroundings Tyr would be able to follow him with relative ease if he kept his distance. They were nearing the Sanctuary and Relinth would being to walk toward the clearing into the main grounds outside of his Temple. Tyr would have a good chance to ambush him while he was in the open there.

Tyr would keep his distance for now. He saw the clearing up ahead and knew full well he would have a good chance at catching his opponent off guard in a few moments. It was worth it for him to enter the Sanctuary and wait for the perfect time to ambush him. A sadistic grin would creep across his face. Finally he could take out what he was owed, in blood.

Phia looked to him with narrowed eyes, rolled them then sighed.

"I didnt' really see those things. I wasn't much paying attention." She said, knowing full well what Xol was thinking and why he wanted that information and Phia being...well, Phia would do her best to keep Xol from doing something potentially dangerous to the best of her abilities. She didn't see the point anymore of fighting with Mastema, he seemed changed, he didn't try to kill her when she asked for help, he was married and he had children, beyond just Thanantos. "I was only in tha town for a short while then tha library...did ye know tha 'is wife is just as much of a book nerd as I?" She said with a crooked grin that suggested she was internally drooling over the memory of the massive library. Her smile faltered however soon enough. "But no....I din'n see what ye want to know about...then again...I was too focused on ...well, get'n D back." She said and shrugged slightly. She was all to greatful for the distraction of the auras of first Tyrsais and then Relinth.

"It seems that we were'n the only ones to find this place attractive." She said watching the treeline with disinterest.

On the far side of the forest, most likely not very close to any of other Black Company members, a lone, angry voice can be heard with the undrlying sounds of plants being hacked away at. "I think that someone is trying to kill me! Infecting my blood and destroying my mind! No man of the flesh could ever stop me!"

The sound cuts out a few minutes later. Shocker stands in a small clearing in the woods, balancing a hunting knife on his right index finger, eyeing a tree over twenty feet away. He smirks, then tosses the knife. It lands in a pre-existing knife wound, indicating that he's been hitting the exact same spot for some time.

A distant scream fades into existance. Suddenly, there is a large thud noise as a body smashes through a tree and into the dirt. After about ten minutes of silence, a hand emerges from the crater. It is covered with glowing blue runes. A woman pulls herself out of the crater and dusts herself off, pretending not to be in excruciating pain. She pulls a splinter the size of a small knife out of her back and grimaces as the wound spurts out some blood. After a while it closes, but is still very sore. She examines her surroundings and moves off in a random direction, not really caring where she ends up.

A Broken Husk

Silent, move swiftly and silently as the wind. Stalk, shifting from shadow to shadow like the night.

Yeah right.

Lee's tanned leather boot stepped down and snapped a dried branch, alerting the grazing deer to his presence. "s**t." He growled as the large game poked it's head up in a brief moment of fear, bounding away with all the grace and beauty mother nature could conform into a single, four legged, creature.
Shifting the bow in his hand, the knocked arrow slipping from it's position on the bow string to his free and and into the quiver on his hip, Lee took to the chase!

Fat chance he was going to catch it, but he'd been hunting that deer all morning and that damn twig had just screwed everything up! Towering trees protected Lee's footing from the typical underbrush that liked to grow uncontrollably in wilderness areas, granted it did the same for the deer, and allowed him to bound in great strides forward. Despite his rather thin build Lee's body held power, power enough to keep him on a relative pace with the bounding deer.

Forest rush passed him on either side as he jumped across the fallen logs and crater dotted landscape, now covered with fallen leaves and newly sprouted seedlings that would one day cover the terrain completely, that had likely once been a site of a cataclysmic battle between two super titans. The deer disappeared out of sight, ducking behind a sheer vertical rise in the ground, likely another result of said previous battle, and Lee slowed his pace. There wasn't any way in hell he was going to keep up on a dead sprint, best to let it calm down, slow down, and have him track back up on it. So he came to a slow jog, letting his heart race and muscles cool back down to a safer level before he eased even more into a slow stalk. He could track a lot better than he could sprint like a deer...

"Yeah," He panted, sweat trickling down his shoulder blades, "Let's just do that." Knocking an arrow he returned to his slow, deliberate, tracking.

((Whoboy, it's been a while, please forgive my lack writing skills u.u))

Once again Misukai found herself in the forest. It had been quite some time since she'd last been there. As she walked she recalled her past adventures with Dawn and the strange boy that they'ed found. Though it was kind of scary at times, for the most part she very much enjoyed her company. She quite missed Dawn, he had always taken care of her when she was being clumsy (which was all the time.) But for now she was determined to move forward, in which case required her to retrace her own steps. Perhaps they would meet again? Mizu took out an old photo to keep her mind focused on her current mission. It was the same one it had always been... The picture reminded her of how her sister had tried to get her to skip school that day. At the time she would protest, worried about getting into trouble with the teacher, but now she wouldn't think twice if offered the chance again. She hadn't seen her sister in years, and has been searching ever since. The pattern was always the same, she'd be in high hopes with a small clue as to where her sister was, probably meet someone new along the way, and end up quite dismal at a dead end, soon having to part with her companion as well. She couldn't say she was use to it by now, but it was becoming a little easier to accept (she still had her Panda after all.) With a sad smile she tucked the photo away into her pack, holding the plushie out infront of herself for a moment, "Okay Mr. Panda, we're really going to find her this time. I'm sure of it!" Though she talked to her backpack often, the words may have been more for herself. She slipped the strap of the panda-like doll over her shoulder and set off deeper into the forest.

From deep within the darker reaches of the forest less frequented by people, walks a seemingly trivial figure. This figure moves silently among the dense trees and brush, as if on a leisurely stroll. Appearing to be in his natural element, there was little trace of his passing through the underbrush. Pausing, one of the few beams of light reaching into the shadows of the forest illuminate the figure's features. It reveals a man in dark colored clothes, with red hair, an eye patch over his left eye, and his face partially hidden under a piece of what looks like fabric. Upon closer look, a pair of red furred ears and a tail are noticeable. With a heavy sigh, he started moving again.

The man moved slowly onward, traveling one of the paths created by passing woodland creatures. His one good eye was unfocused; seeming gazing off in the distance as if remembering something. Whatever the day dream was of, it lead to a slight smile. Eventually he would have to return, but for what purpose was still unknown.

Having called this place home for so many years, yet not having seen it for far too long. Much may have changed or everything might still be the same. He would just have to see what awaited him as he got closer to his destination.
