[Kyla: Red Rose: Hallways > Kyals Room]
Walking down to her room somehow seemed slower- like it took forever all of a sudden. She was mentally counting each and every step she took back to her room. 1...
4...
22..
Thankfully she lost count by the time she was back. After closing the door behind her a second time Kyla crossed the room the cabinet- the enchanted cupboard of holding that supposedly gave you everything you at least needed on hand. Sure enough. Just like her dressphere, or weapon, the magics worked at a mental command and there inside was some basic medical supplies: gauze, cotton, antiseptic. She wasn't hurt enough to need anything extreme- just some basic bindings. Kyla remembered how to do it since she had to numerous times before after her fingers and wrists were wear for tear. There sometimes some things that even cure couldn't heal.
Taking a roll she sat on her bed and began gently- but firmly wrapping the fabric around her wrist, starting from the middle of her forearm, up, around her palm and down again. Making sure it was a sturdy supportive binding Kyla tested it a bit, adjusted and was soon satisfied. If she slept on this her drawing hand would feel much better.
After that she prepared herself for bed. washed up a little in the water basin, combed her hair out, braided it, and upon returning to her bed her clothing changed into the suitable night gown slip from before. So tired. But her mind was still a buzz.
~Just try.~
Fine- oh wait!
Another idea, and Kyla returned to the cabinate. It was worth a shot- but ti worked. There was something else in there. Medicine! More then that- a herbal remedy. Taking the tin box, mug and water pitcher Kyla smelt the mixture and picked up hints of mint and chamomile. It was some kind of sedative tea. MAN this thing was cool!
Kyla breathed it in deeply before putting the contents into the cup. She didn't think long about how to heat the water, re-summoning her trusty book, she smiled at her simplistic ingenuity and created something like a stove element on her own book. Practical pictomancy at it's finest. With the aroma of the tea in the air Kyla ut the rest away, dismissed her bok and drank deeply from the medicinal brew. Ok- whatever else was in there.. it wasn't JUST mint and flowers. She could feel something heavy settle into her limbs, stronger then before. It wasn't like fatigue. It was getting hazy, and she nearly dropped the cup on the floor.
With no effort this time, she laid back and pulled the blanket up over her shoulders. Having just barely slung one arm over a secondary pillow and hugging it to her chest Kyla closed her eyes and was finally, finally asleep.

[Matt :-: Atlantis -> Red Rose :-: Bedroom]
When Matt had split from the Drive with Joe and Kyle after the battle's climax, the battle-rush quickly drifted from his body leaving him weak. In an act of selfishness, he had kept a bit away from the rest of the group as they discussed the details of what had happened and various other members had a moment of weakness. Unless someone had been paying close attention to him, they likely wouldn't have noticed him shaking and fidgeting; certainly not the expression of fear behind his mask.
When people started dispersing, he distantly followed behind those boarding the ship, managing to slip off to the room he had slept in the night before. The bed was still unmade, but he simply crawled on top of it with his knees to his chest. he simply sat there for a while, his breathing slowly becoming more rapid and shallow. Eventually he balled up his hands into fists, and brought the base of his palms down into the back of his skull repeatedly. "Shut up shut up shut up!"
'Uh, chief, I'm not saying anything,' Dave said in confusion.
"Not you," he muttered weakly, digging his palms into the sore parts of his skull. He didn't move from his position, as if he was frozen. While visions of the dark force he had seen emanate from Ajora's aura watching him played before his eyes, and Ajora's eldritch scream ringing non-stop.

{Bobbi, Demyx .:. Shipwreck Cove .:. Outside Red Rose}
"Peanut butter and bananas, SURE, I will give you that! But grilled??!"
"Peanut butter, bacon, and banana," Bobbi corrected, licking some mayo off of one finger while the other hand slapped the top piece of bread on her sandwich. "And don't knock the grillin', buddy. If it's good raw, it's good grilled. Like pineapple!" She then took an enormous bite of her sandwich, sighing in bliss as she chewed.
Demyx's stomach rumbled just as Axel asked to join in on the eating, and Ice Lady got smart with him. But when Axel made his quip about hiding, Demyx felt the need to respond.
"I wasn't hiding!" he protested unconvincingly. "I was, um, keeping a look out. 'Cause that's what the crow's nest is for! Besides, I sent out a few water clones and geysers. I totally helped." He pouted when Axel conceded a single bite of the food to him, but managed to scrape together a pretty good sandwich from what the others had left over.
"So what is that chef thing we met on the beach?" he asked around a mouthful of food. "Starts with a Q, I think. Quirna? Quixote? Quilava?"

{James : Red Rose : Galley -> Quarters}
James remained silent, keeping his thoughts regarding Louis and pretty much everything else running through his head to himself. He couldn't help but sigh in relief, though to the others it may have seemed like exasperation, as Noelle relayed what Riku had said and told them that Louis would not be a viable option. It was good to know that while the darkness was painful, it wasn't an immediate threat.
"Alright, I'll be sure to keep an eye on it then and let you and Kyle know if it seems to be spreading rapidly," He stated and then sighed running a hand through his hair. This was his usual tendency when he was nervous or frustrated along with a habit of turning his wedding ring on his finger, one that particularly bugged one of his friends. "I think I'm going to go get some rest for awhile. I'll talk to you guys later," he stated with a small smile as he stood up.
Normally the caffeine from a coke would be enough to last him for awhile, but in this case he was just too tired, physically, mentally, and emotionally. All he wanted was to get cleaned up and rest, provided his mind would shut off to let him. He felt kind of bad leaving them, he was sure Noelle had wanted some actual company, not just more things to think about and concerns which he had clearly given her. He hoped that he would feel better after a good wash and some rest. He managed to find his way down to the floor where the sleeping quarters were and after a quick wash fell upon the comfortable bed of an empty sleeping quarters.
He looked down at his chest, at the darkness accumulated beneath the burn scar, it hadn't spread since he had left the galley, he supposed that was a good thing. He would be sure to make note of where it was at after he woke up. It would take awhile for his mind to shut off for him to fall asleep, but he eventually would fall asleep.

[ Noelle ~Shipwreck Cove ~ Red Rose: Galley]
Noelle tiredly waved at James as he said he was going to go rest. She had thought about going to do the same, but knew she'd never get to sleep with how busy her mind was. Mental chatter was difficult for her to quiet when it came to even trivial matters, so calming it now would probably be impossible. It wasn't sleep that she really needed now, anyway--she'd gotten a full night's sleep the night prior. Her body was what needed recovery time. Some food and a bath would do her more good than anything. The agromancer looked over her shoulder to see if Quina had made any progress on the food. She hoped he'd be done soon with whatever he was making.
Looking back to Dawn, Noelle smiled, "How are you feeling? Want any tea?"

{Tseng : Ship Wreck Cove : Outside Red Rose}
If Tseng was paying any attention to the conversations between the Earthlings and Daniel, it wasn't evident. He had been silent since they had arrived, deep in thought as to their next move. It seemed that they were not going to receive permission to board the airship, or perhaps they were simply stalling for time while they themselves found out the best course regarding the Turks. When his protege suggested that he call into HQ to get an evac he realized that Daniel had come to the conclusion that they were not going to be allowed on board.
The Turk nodded his head in agreement and reached into his pocket and pulled out his PHS. He walked away a bit as he called into ShinRa.
"Tseng here, we need an evac. The submarine was lost on the way down to Atlantis. The mission has failed and only Daniel, Helga, and myself remain of the group....," Tseng stated, speaking to whoever it was he had reached and awaited for their response. "We are at Shipwreck Cove, use our PHS coordinates to locate us. I will provide a full report when we return to base... Understood, Tseng out," he concluded and snapped the mobile closed.
"They're on their way," he stated as he walked back towards Daniel and then fell silent again.

[Dawn : Red Rose : Galley]
Dawn watched the conversation unfolded before here. She bit on her lip keeping silent as Noelle dismissed her suggestion then gave the simple solution. They were going to wait.
Just as it looked like the dancer was going to say something, James left for some rest. She watched him leave with a blank expression and let out a soft sigh when he left.
'I wonder if he is upset for me leaving him....' Dawn thought looking up when Noelle spoke to her.
"I am here," Dawn said, as if it explained everything as she looked over at Noelle with a worried expression, "It sounds good. But beh, I'll pass.... but what about you? You appear ready to fall asleep on your feet."
As the girls spoke the chief finally approached them, carrying a tray of food. Holding a couple of plates of grilled sandwiches and a couple of bowls what appeared to be a chicken soup.
"Food here. Eat. Be happy." Quina said as he placed it on the table, then bounced happily.

[ Noelle ~Shipwreck Cove ~ Red Rose: Galley]
Noelle shrugged a little, "My body needs a little rest, but I'm not so sure I'd be able to catch any shuteye."
When Quina gave the two girls food, Noelle thanked him graciously and eagerly took up her spoon. The soup was heavenly and just what she needed, and the sandwich really hit the spot. She was trying not to be a pig, but her body was screaming for the energy the food would provide. As soon as she managed to stop gobbling down her food, Noelle looked back to Dawn.
"So how did things go up here before you guys joined us in Atlantis?"

"It went as It was supposed to I guess," Dawn said, "Despite who appeared. The replica's and geist thingies appearing." she nibbled on her lip as she recalled blacking out momentarily, in the chaos.
Dawn took a small bite of the soup provided. She didn't know exactly what it was, but it was good. Just what she needed.
"We were only just wrapped up from the fighting when we got the call that you guys needed help."

[ Noelle ~Shipwreck Cove ~ Red Rose: Galley]
"Well, I'm glad things went as well as they could have." Noelle replied with a small smile.
Her hunger began to abate as she poured herself another cup of tea. Food was definitely something that she needed, and she was beginning to feel much better--even if just physically. She sighed and leaned back into the cushioned booth. It was her hope that they didn't have anything else to do immediately, they all needed time to recover.

"Yeah..." Dawn said simply looking away from Noelle, as she tucked stray hairs that fell in her face behind her ear. Dawn bit her lower lip momentarily before looking up at Noelle worried, "Though seems like everything with you guys didn't happen as planned... Mind filling me in? What exactly happened? I came when I arrived, it was already chaos. I have no idea what happened before that..."

[Amy : Red Rose]
Amy had discovered that she could not destroy her charm, no matter how much she shot it, or what magical attack she used; she had given up, and went back into the Red Rose, where she stayed in her room during all of the excitement. The cabinets, even in her room, were enchanted. She had spent the day drinking, and then passed out on her bed, where she remained.

[ Noelle ~Shipwreck Cove ~ Red Rose: Galley]
Noelle sighed and rubbed the back of her head, "Well, yeah you could say things didn't go as planned. Atlantica was a little rough. Kyle was given . . . some sort of outside source of Darkness. He almost . . . lost it a little, I guess is all I should say. Joe and I reigned him back in, though. But while we were trying to turn the tide of the battle, Kyla decided it would be a brilliant idea to sneak away and face off with Ajora herself. That just lead to . . . complications. So w weren't nearly as put together as we should have been when entering Atlantis. Kyle went ahead of everyone, we tried to catch up, so we were extremely frayed in starting the battle, so we were quickly almost overwhelmed. I otherwise wouldn't have called for backup. Good thing I did though, I suppose."
The agromancer drank more of her tea and shook her head, "So some of us are . . . less than pleased with Kyla right now. I wish I could say I'm over it but . . . my head isn't really put together right now, so that's all I can really say."

[Kai: ??????]
That b*****d! When did he?... how?!
Wait- that time. Back at the Beasts Castle… he must’ve done it then. It burned like it was hot as a branding iron! Kai would make him pay for DARING to mark her in such a manner! But then.. what did this mean? This sensation. Did something happen to him?
She hoped it wasn’t good. Less trouble to deal with. Ajora. You simple minded fool.
‘Nevermind him much- but prepare incase that cockroach hinders anything further. In the meantime, remove that brand, NOW.’ She would not tolerate this invasion of personal being any longer then she must, and began her countermeasures to remove the stain upon her person. If she could not have him remove it if it was still there- she would have to reach inside and make sure it was gone.
After that- it was about time she move on and have a chat with some of the others.
Tracing the page with the original image, she curved her lips in satisfaction. Everything was ready. Every strike would seed more and more of her own influence into the weak, and fester a deeply seated curse. It will corrode what makes them worthy of being the saviors of this universe, and transform them into the most beautiful instruments of true entropy.
By now her original would have found her little message.
‘Yes, Fear. Tremble. Quake and await my reunion with you . ‘ A soft tug on her sleeve directed her attention to a short stature figure clinging to her side. Slapping a the most unjustly sweet smile to her face she stoked the black curly haired crown. “shhhhh… do not worry. You will soon get to play with them too.”

[ Daniel ~ Shipwreck Cove ~ Top Floor, Red Rose Entry Ramp ]
The Turk chuckled at Bobbi's charismatic response while finishing his own sandwich. In a quick motion Daniel dragged his index finger across the ink at his waist and brought it over, forming a small blade. He sliced the sandwich in two halves, careful not to contaminate either with the substance. The blade disappeared and Daniel pick up a piece in each hand, turning and offering one to his leader as Tseng finished the call.
Daniel considered for a moment the divide in his intentions: on one hand these men and women were his 'kin', his fellow survivors. If he had woken up next to them that fateful day he would likely be fumbling around just like they were. On a deeper level he supported them, hoped that they were accomplishing something good. Maybe the Earth truly could come back?
But Daniel was not one for blind faith. They had no surefire leads that such a resurrection could happen. For him, the time to mourn the past was done. Stagnating in the present was futile. Daniel was a Turk now, and he had a stake in their future, his future.
He quietly took a bite of the sandwich, continuing to reminisce. Daniel couldn't help but admit the destruction of earth and waking up to none other than Hojo was... exciting. Earth was boring. What was left to explore? What was left to discover? No, this new adventure was incredible, and there were endless possibilities. To the earthling, there was not a better group to wake up in the care of. ShinRa gave him purpose. The Turk's honed his powers.
Daniel was happy.
The Turk turned back to Joe then, locking eyes.
"We will be taking our leave soon", he glanced sideways to Bobbi with a smile, " Thank you so much for your hospitality"
"I hope that if we cross paths again, it will be on better terms."
