Really, Wyrn? The way I've grabbed them: I see one by itself and it just stays there. Then, when you click on him, it becomes a plushie and jumps, then it's gone and placed into your inventory.

aye, apparently you can either hatch one yourslf or, if it's alone, you can capture it. I'm on zOMG now, trying to test this theory.

I find a lot of them in Village Greens and Bassken Lake, though.

Then I just went straight to Otami, just because I had seen someone said it was a good place to find them.
